This beautiful story sees Nikki as a teen, and then when life throws her another curveball, in her early thirties. There is so much in this story, the detail, the thoughts, the feelings, the setting and in the background, the play between the “haves” and “have-nots”. The town and its characters are woven into Nikki’s own story, and it feels like only when she is able to make peace with the “place”, does she truly find peace for herself. I adore Nikki’s feisty and talented personality, her ability to pick herself up and find a new path, even in the most difficult circumstances. It’s a gorgeous read ❤️

I think there's a lot of potential but the plot was jumping and the pace was uneven.
