I have been a huge fan of Jeffrey Archer for what seems like ages. This is a classic Jeffrey Archer with multiple characters, storylines and motives.

The story pulls you in with multiple storylines and an end objective. Each character has their own motivation and it has the usual backstabbing and sabotage. A good and interesting read.

Thank you HarperCollins UK and NetGalley for this e-arc in exchange of my unbiased review.

Detective William Warrick is my favourite police officer and this one is a doozy. Archer tells a great yarn and this is heist at it's best.

Got about halfway through and enjoyed what I did read. Will definitely finish it in the future. Have not read the previous books so got lost with the number of characters, but was gripping with the plot.

Having read Jeffrey Archer previously I was excited to read Traitors gate. A little different to the usual but I really enjoyed it. Thanks to netgally for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I have many of his books over the years. This book was but not his best. It did however keep me intrigued and keep me turning the pages.

This is not my usual type of book but I have read some Jeffrey Archer in the past (a long time ago!) and decided to give it a go. I wasn’t disappointed and really enjoyed it. Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the advance copy, I’d definitely recommend

I have read and enjoyed many of Jeffrey Archer's early books, so I was looking forward to reading this. Unfortunately, however, this one was not up to the standard of his earlier works. It just didn't draw me in like his books usually do. The plotting was ok but I didn't engage with the characters and I just found it hard going. Not for me, sorry.

Another great outing for Chief Superindendent William Warwick and Ross Hogan!
I really enjoyed this book, and it was interesting to read all about the crown jewels, and how protected they are!
I have enjoyed every single Jeffrey Archer book, and this was no exception. He really knows how to spin a yarn!

Another great story from Archer, a real page turner for me. If you're looking for something entertaining and not too challenging, this is the series for you (this is the 6th book in the series, they're all worth a read). .The interplay between the two main character, William Warwick, and his long-time nemesis, Miles Faulkner, was as good as ever and I loved the way Archer weaved the history of the Crown Jewels in with his 1990s storyline. A good read.

It wasn’t my usual read, but I gave it a go. Didn’t grip me I’m afraid.

I think it’s just not a genre for me. Writing is perfect, as I expected it to be. Ans a great story line. Just not one for me

Sorry!

Jeffrey Archer is entertaining as ever in this latest installment of the William Warwick series. The plot is engaging and the characters we have come to be know and love through the previous books are as enjoyable as ever. Miles Faulkner once again proves to be a top notch villain of the peace but his latest scheme might just be his most audacious yet. Full of twists and turns with several interconnected plot lines, the story powers along and keeps you gripped throughout.

I’d always say Jeffrey Archer is my guilty pleasure but I’ve read and loved everything by him. This new instalment in the William Warwick series is just as engrossing as the previous book - we follow William and his colleagues as they try to retrieve the Crown Jewels after they have been stolen by Miles Faulkner. I love how well we have gotten to know the characters though the series and how the plots are so nuanced with so many different interlinking puzzle pieces. I read this in just a couple of sittings, finding it hard to put down between chapters and wanting to know what happened next. William is a really likeable main character and you find yourself really rooting for him, but the villains also have something likeable about them and so it’s a great book to read, not really knowing who you want to be victorious in the end. One of my favourite reads of the year so far!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The 6th novel in Jeffrey Archer’s William Warwick series Traitors gate is set around the attempted theft of the British crown Jewels from the Tower of London.

To me Traitors Gate is a return to form of Jeffrey Archer whose last outing of the William Warwick series for me felt a bit flat and was definitely below his usual standards.

To me as a reader Jeffrey Archer is not a great writer in the literary sense of the word but what he does is draw readers in with an engaging story giving readers a classic page turner and a great beach read.

Once again although part of a series that does have things that continue from one story to the next, there is no need to read them in order, as Archer provides enough background information to events from other books although these become mild spoilers if you read the books out of order.

While the story may be a little far-fetched in the way it was written and the plot line, if you suspend your belief you are able to have an enjoyable time while reading Traitors Gate.

What really worked for me was the way that the book interwoven the story of how the crown jewels were stolen during the late 17th Century by Captain Blood with the two children doing it as a school project, rather than a separate story set during these events,

Which to me allowed the story to flow a lot better than what would have been if the writer had gone by the other route.

i didn't finish this one as I didn't realise it was a series and I felt i needed to have read the others before it.

#TraitorsGate #NetGalley Another great read in this series. Not a violent crime or police procedural but a great edge of your seat thriller. At one point I was willing Miles to pull it off but loved how it turned out in the end. look forward to reading more in this series.

Another good read from Archer with a smattering of a history lesson included. His parliamentary experience gives him the inside knowledge of procedures regarding the use of the crown jewels and their transportation that made the beginning of the story believable. From my point of view I wished I had read the other books in the series so that I knew the history behind the two main players, however, it was readable as a stand alone story. Some of the story maybe stretched belief but who cares when it adds to a good page turner and storyline
