First, I want to start by saying that the dedication is so cute! I love when the dedications have some sugar and spice in them; this one was definitely a sweet one!

This book was a combination of two of my favorite tropes; enemies to lovers and grumpy x sunshine. Sometimes it was reverse grumpy sunshine and I loved every second of it because I rarely see books like that these days.

The fact that I have a dog myself makes me relate to this book so much more. The romance between the two characters and the story revolving around their love for animals is so captivating! Also, the diversity in their approach towards the animals in their clinics was very appealing!

I work in the healthcare field so I liked that there's somewhat of a medical aspect.

I love the fact that we got to see the two characters' families and the fact that they come from different backgrounds and cultures and traditions was very interesting!

This is the first book I read by Elise Eliot and hopefully it won't be my last because I really liked her style in writing!

This was an beautiful story with a really fun and sweet veterinary setting. Something I didn't realize I needed and ultimately launched a two-pronged attack at my heartstrings.

I'm a huge fan of the enemies fo lovers trope so Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot drew me in from the get go. What more can one ask for? Sniping, banter, tension AND cute animals?!

The chemistry between Parisa and Malakai had me unable to put this book down, I mean wow it was really sizzling. The care and respect and love for animals that Parisa and Malakai demonstrated of adorableness for me!

"Love Unleashed" by Elise Eliot offers a charming romance with its heart in the right place, but falls a bit short of its potential. While the story's premise is promising, there are elements that prevent it from fully blossoming into a truly unforgettable read.

Eliot presents a cute and relatable romance that revolves around the interactions of its endearing characters. The concept of finding love in unexpected places is engaging, and the playful banter between the protagonists adds a lighthearted touch. However, the plot occasionally lacks the depth needed to fully captivate the reader.

The writing style is approachable, making it an easy book to pick up and enjoy. The pacing, however, fluctuates, leading to moments where the story's momentum falters. Some scenes that could have been emotionally impactful are glossed over, leaving readers craving more connection with the characters.

While the characters themselves have potential, they occasionally feel one-dimensional. Delving deeper into their backgrounds and motivations could have added layers of complexity to the story. Additionally, the chemistry between the main characters, while present, could have been developed further to enhance the emotional resonance.

Despite these shortcomings, "Love Unleashed" does manage to convey themes of self-discovery and the unexpected nature of love. It serves as a light and enjoyable read, perfect for those seeking a straightforward romance with a sprinkle of humor.

In conclusion, "Love Unleashed" delivers a heartwarming romance, but it doesn't fully unleash its potential. While the story is sweet and has its moments, missed opportunities in character development and emotional depth prevent it from soaring to greater heights. If you're in the mood for a breezy romance that doesn't demand too much, this might be the book for you. Three stars for its heartwarming intentions and relatable characters. ⭐⭐⭐ #LoveUnleashed #EliseEliot #BookReview

Parisa runs a holistic pet wellness practice and is beloved by her clients but not so beloved by Malakai, the traditional veterinarian across the way. Parisa and Malakai constantly raise each other's hackles when they aren't resource-guarding their clients like a peanut butter-filled Kong, but maybe they only fight like cats and dogs because they aren't ready to admit how they really feel, at least not to themselves.

I love it when MCs fight so much that you yell at the book, "JUST KISS ALREADY!" Especially when the side characters are so loveable and constantly ask the MCs, "Are you sure you hate each other?"

Professional rivals, enemies-to-lovers, and opposites attract come together in the super fun romcom Love Unleashed. When I tell you all that, this book had me giggling the entire time I read it! I especially like how Parisa is carving her path, not just in veterinary medicine but also through her parents' expectations. The relationship between Parisa and her sister (aka the parents' favorite) was also refreshing; because her sister supported her wholeheartedly and didn't play into the "why don't you just try harder and do what they want" perfect sister archetype. I think my favorite part was that they didn't just go from hating to loving each other; they also learned to respect each other along the way.

This was an enjoyable read. I found the characters were likeable, the plot well paced and I'm a sucker for anyone who loves animals and these two are definitely animal lovers.

I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh how I love a good enemies-to-lovers BOOK. This was everything I needed. The hate, the angst, the friendship, the love. Every aspect of this story was immaculate. I loved it so much.

Ms. Eliot is a new-to-me author so I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up. It's a fun and quick, enemies to lovers story that takes place in the workplace. Parisa owns a pet wellness center and is still trying to prove to her parents she can make her business a success. But she keeps getting distracted by the constant quibbles with the handsome but infuriating veterinarian next door, Malakai. Malakai worked hard to get his practice to where it is, and he's not going to let Parisa ruin it for him. He won't let anything get in the way of getting her out of his way. But the chemistry that ignites between them has other ideas, and they better watch out before both of their plans gets burned. Then when an accident occurs and they are forced to work together, they are also forced to face the feelings they are feeling for each other.
The story was filled with fun, passion, and humor and kept me engaged till the end. I enjoyed the witty back and forth banter between the two, and really felt the strong chemistry between them. This was an entertaining and enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

Such an adorable book! I wish that there would have been more depth to the developing relationship throughout the book.

Very cute enemies to lovers! Bit of a slow pace to start but overall a cute read! I really enjoyed the dual narrative, it worked well in this book.

If you're looking for a sweet and funny romance novel, you might want to check out Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot. It's the story of Parisa Hadid, a new-age veterinarian whose passion for animal care techniques conflicts with traditional veterinarian, Malakai Dixon.
When the conflict between Parisa and Malakai reaches boiling point outside their vet practices, they feel frustration and annoyance, but is it all a misunderstanding? Will they be able to overcome their differences and find their happily ever after?

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was light-hearted and charming, with witty but average dialogue and an animal story weaved through. The characters were likable and relatable, and I liked how they both had their own struggles and growth, albeit immature at times. The chemistry between Parisa and Malakai was clear and sweet, and I enjoyed how they supported each other. The plot was engaging and had some twists and turns that kept me hooked. The writing style was smooth and easy to read, with a good balance of humor and emotion.

Love Unleashed is a perfect read for fans of romantic comedies and dog lovers. It's a heartwarming story that will make you grin like a fool and swoon. I recommend it for a lazy afternoon read!

I really enjoyed the vet setting and the enemies to lovers plot line of this book. In that aspect, I got what I was asking for. However, there were a couple of issues that drop this a bit for me: the MMC was not incredibly likable for a chunk of the book. I was also not a fan of the love triangle aspect. I felt like it was a bit of an unnecessary plot and Dane was very toxic! Overall, I enjoyed the book though.

Cute sort of enemies to lovers romcom. Like Malakai, it took the first 20% of the book to not think that Parisa was completely annoying. Then she made more sense as a character, and I enjoyed her more. They were sweet and funny together. I enjoyed the side characters. There were a few plot points that I didn't love, but they happen to be things I don't love in general, so it's more of a me thing than a book thing.

This book was a massive miss for me. I picked this up because of the dog on the cover and the intriguing synopsis promising an enemies-to-lovers romance between two rival vets. Unfortunately, this book did not deliver. I found the rivalry between the leads to be toxic, the MMC insufferable, and both characters acted super immature, even going so far as arguing in front of their clients. There was also a love triangle thrown in halfway through, which almost made me DNF this book multiple times.

La verdad, este fue un libro muy bonito. Con una cosilla innecesaria porque se desvió de todo el tema de enemies to lovers, pero en general estuvo muy lindo. Si me quedo debiendo.

Actually, this was a very nice book. With one unnecessary little thing because it deviated from the whole enemies to lovers theme, but overall it was very nice. At the end everything happened too fast and the couple didn't relate more (hence the unnecessary little thing).

I did enjoy it a bit. And I liked the characters a little bit. But it did lack a little more development, remove certain little things and develop their interactions more. The main couple was very cute and deserved more moments together.

Also, the secondary characters made the reading bearable.

It was a simple and easy read.

Thank you NatGalley for the ARC.
i wanna start with all the things i loved. parisa & malakai’s chemistry and the fact they were vets who didn’t get along and had these different beliefs and how that influenced their relationship (and anything including dogs bc i love them). their dynamic was truly so interesting to get into. i was so hooked and convinced this would get at least 4 stars UNTIL the dane storyline started. at first i was intrigued because who doesn’t love a good old jealousy storyline. then suddenly parisa and dane started going on dates and it never seemed to stop and i was like… okay i didn’t ask for this but OKAY. BUT WHY WOULD THEY NEVER BREAK UP. DANE WAS THE MOST ANNOYING EVERRR. i absolutely get being a people pleaser I DO but even i was ready to break up with this guy in any way possible. ANY WAY. and don’t even let me talk about the fact that dane was the one to end it in the end… this whole storyline took me out im so sorry but it was just getting DRAGGED. that’s why it’s getting 3 stars.

Love Unleashed is about 2 rivals vets (ie animal doctors). Featured tropes include enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, rom-com, and work rivals.

It was an entertaining read with plenty of banter between the main characters. It is definitely a slow burn with the tension building slowly and definite chemistry. I am a sucker for animals so this book was a delight for me.

If you like vet stories and/or enemies to lovers I would recommend taking a look at this read. It really is a cute, charming and wee-paced romance.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review and the best of luck to the author in their future career.

Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher & Elise Eliot for an ARC copy of Love Unleashed in exchange for my honest review.

Love Unleashed is a cute enemies-to-lovers story between 2 competing vets who have neighboring practices in Capitola, CA. Those who read my reviews know I very much appreciate representation in romance - the female MC, Parisa, is of Persian descent, and the male MC, Malakai, is Italian-American & Scottish-American. (Shout-out to the food descriptions in this book - I was craving everything they mentioned!)

With the exception of some kisses and going slightly further than that, I'd give it .5/5 if you like to grade books on the pepper scale and 3/5 stars over-all for the book.

[SPOILER BELOW}

I personally think that the book didn't need to go into Autumn & Ren's characters and wedding as deeply, despite the fact that it was being used as the catalyst for Malakai's proposal to Parisa. This appears to be the 1st book in a series of books called the Capitola Crushes, so the wedding + the chapter from Gigi's POV seemed misplaced to me in this particular book.
