Wow, what a read! I love a book that features a character you’re not supposed to like, but you end up liking them anyway. This book has so many fleshed out characters with their own unique personalities that evolve as they try to navigate an infidelity. If you like suspense, twists and turns up until the very end, and old cat ladies (yes, I’m serious), give this one a go.
The clue is in the title……Revenge…..this book is all about it….
A good psychological thriller that got more intense the more you read
Great characters, for me they were believable too which always makes the story more appealing
All round a great read from this author who I look forward to reading more from
A story full of affairs, betrayal, and revenge. The beginning starts out slow, but stick with it! The story picks up about half way through. There are many twists and turns along the way. The relationship between Tessa and Fran was palpable and the story sucked me right in to the pages. A great read for those who enjoy psychological thrillers/suspense.
Thanks to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for a digital ARC.
This book narrates the situation between two couples from changing perspectives, with the main two characters being wives who live in the same village in Sussex.
This is definitely a book where the anticipation builds throughout. The characters all have their own faults like most people, but the wronged wife is not one to let things go without adequate resolution! I would not want to cross paths with her!
I would definitely read more books by this author.
This book starts off a little slow but don’t give up it gets better. I normally dislike a dual narrative but it works well in this book. Tessa wants revenge and who can blame her. Fran had an affair with her husband. I really like the writing style of this author she makes it feel like you’re watching everything unfold.
Thank you netgalley for this advanced copy. This book was hard to get into. I read to about 15% and nothing had happened to grab my attention. Tried skipping ahead and just couldn’t get anything out of it. I gave up. Just very slow and not interesting to me.
A gripping thriller that will keep you guessing. The basic premise of the book is given away in the title but it is far more complicated. There is no hiding in a small village! Definitely one to enjoy!
The Wife's Revenge by Deirdre Palmer was an amazing story!
I couldn't figure out the ending no matter how much i tried to. I was totally wrong!
Such a good story
Thank you to NetGalley for letting me have an advanced copy
A good psychological thriller following the lives of Fran and Tessa who live in a village in Sussex where everyone knows each other.
Fran had an affair with Tessa's husband, Ben, a few years earlier and dreads her husband, Hector, and her three daughters finding out about it.
As the title suggests, Tessa is aware of the affair and is not going to let Fran off lightly.
I did enjoy the bookand there were a few twists and turns to get your teeth into. Fran is an ordinary wife and mother, who many will resonate with. I didn't really feel as much sympathy for her as I possibly should have, nor did I feel sorry for Tessa. What transpires at the end of the book I felt should have had more discussion throughout the story but nevertheless an enjoyable read. 4🌟

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I found this book difficult to get into. It ended up being a story of revenge and of course twists.
Being a thriller seeker I wanted more twists right from the beginning.

Seductive and twisted. Highly recommended! Readers, find some quiet alone time to settle in with this one because you won't stop reading until you've turned the final page. Highly recommended to fans of mysteries, suspense and thrillers.
