This was an ok read but misses a major twist. It centers on Flo, who leaves the UK for Ireland after her husband Ryan cheats on her. She meets a new friends, Ciara, and they make a plan for Ciara to go stay with Ryan while Flo figures out her next move. But turns out Ciara may have ulterior motives.
I didn’t read the synopsis before starting the book and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. Once I did, the story plodded along a bit and I wasn’t really surprised by anything I read. None of the characters were likable- I found Flo annoying even when she was making good decisions. I also thought Ciara’s plan was overly complicated and unnecessary. The ending was ok, but again didn’t really shock me.
Overall, I wanted more to happen in the book but it was a decent read that kept me going with short chapters. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
It’s well written and the short chapters read easily but the plot is missing a ‘WOW’ .. The story starts slowly and develops. I kept waiting for it to pick up but it really just plugged along. This one was a miss for me.
Thank You to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this ARC.
This was a quick read, filled with characters that are self absorbed, unlikable and full of personal flaws. However, that helped the story, which would have fallen flat if any of the characters were portrayed as really good people. The events were fairly transparent from the start (I felt the opening chapter gave away too much by the time you got through half of the book) but I kept reading for the little details. The way the chapters were set up was distracting and my one real complaint - we didn't need a new chapter every couple of pages for the same character in the same setting.
A wonderful thriller from Diana Wilkinson which has many twists and turns, with a very unexpected ending. Flo has discovered that her husband, Ryan, has cheated on her with their neighbour. To think where she wants her relationship to go she escapes to Bangor in Northern Ireland where she befriends Ciara. Between them they hatch out a plan for Ciara to stay at her home to get her own back on Ryan and see if he would cheat with Ciara. She however has her own agenda and it very soon becomes abundantly clear to Flo that she has possibly been hoodwinked.
With plans and counter plans this quickly becomes a very intriguing storyline, the outcome of which leaves you in suspense and then amazed at the outcome.
A wonderfully crafted storyline by this author which is very hard to put down when you get into it. Thanks to Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. A very easy and thoroughly deserved 5*
This is one hell of a twisted book it's payback time, all girls together, enjoying themselves, can a friend be trusted.
Flo Bartlam has no idea what her friend Ciara is up too as she swaps phones, takes her house keys and flies out to England from Ireland. Left with just a burner phone she finds a very disturbing video, her husband might be a cheater with their neighbour Olivia but he was no murderer this takes their marriage break up to another level. Panic buttons are pressed when Ciara doesn't pick up, with all her belongings and promises, on the other side Ciara is ready to rattle Ryan's cage big time and its not pretty as she waits for him to arrive from work he's in for a big almighty shock.
Oh wow the woman in my home was not what I expected it to be throughout reading but found I just could not put it down, superbly written right to the end.
Another great addition to her collection of books, it was amazing it had me from the first page, the storyline was brilliant and I loved it until the very end
Another fantastic read from Ms Wilkinson! The story is well written and the characters so believable they practically jump right off the page. I love the style of writing and look forward to Diana's next book.

Flo is crushed when she learns that her husband cheated on her. She flees to Ireland where she meets Ciara and they instantly hit it off. Ciara has a plan to get the life she has always wanted. Ciara thinks she is the one calling the shots but Flo has a plan of her own.
I like how Flo finally took charge of her life and how she manipulated her husband. The ending was just brilliant. I like that this was one short, fun, engaging read with a unpredictable ending.
The mystery starts from the very beginning.
A very intriguing story line with well written characters.
Flo the main character has been let down by everyone and i loved how she finally deals with every thing.
Twist and turns galore in this really dynamic read.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
The Woman in My Home by Diana Wilkinson is a thriller which is very good. Flo has gone to Ireland on a break after she finds out her husband, Ryan, has cheated on her. While there, she meets Ciara and they take an instant like to each other and become friends. Ciara comes up with a plan to switch homes, with Ciara going to live in Flo's home with Ryan in England, while Flo remains in Ireland. Flo still isn't sure if she will take Ryan back or not. A few days after Ciara leaves, Flo is having second thoughts about this plan Ciara has come up with. Before Ciara flew off to England, she sent Flo some very disturbing videos, and now Flo has an additional issue with Ryan. The book is very well written and is very suspenseful. Lots of twists and the author has the ability to bring the characters to life. This isn't a long read, but it's very good and the plot twist at the end is perfect. I highly recomend it. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC I greatly appreciate it.
I really enjoyed this read. It was a page turner so once I started I finished it in a days sitting. The character development and world building was phenomenal and I felt like I was really there
This was one of those books that just flies in! There were some really good twists that I didn't see coming and literally had my jaw on the floor! The characters were well written and human and the plot was actually quite original and something I hadn't come across before. I did spend a lot of time trying to work out what was going in and what the "agreement" between the women was and why but that just made me even more invested. A perfect summer read
An interesting book with engaging characters, an atmospheric setting and a pacy, energetic plot.
Thank you to Diana Wilkinson, NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the arc of this book.
