Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this e-arc.
This book was really well written and I enjoyed the overall story and plot line. I was immersed in the book the full time!

This book had me gripped from the beginning. It opens with three different women phoning the emergency services to report a hit and run accident with Damon being the victim. He is left seriously ill in hospital with his wife Marla by his bedside. We soon realise that their marriage was far from perfect as he had had many affairs and Marla had been going to finally leave him. Sonya is a therapist and has got rather close to one of her patients and wonders why he hasn’t turned up for his appointment. Anthea was hoping her baby’s father would turn up for her ultrasound as she knows he was unhappy about the pregnancy. All of these women were connected to Damon and tell the story from their points of view. This book was so addictive that I couldn’t put it down. So many secrets and lies are revealed as the story unravels with many surprises. An excellent read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I really did not enjoy this story, it was hard to get into.

One of her best ones yet!! Thank you for the opportunity to read this fast paced book I couldn't put it down!

This was originally billed under the mystery and thriller genre but then was re-categorised as a family drama which in my opinion was the right thing to do. Had I read this expecting a thriller I would have been terribly disappointed. As it was I found the story enjoyable if a bit slow paced. Certainly the author writes a great psychological thriller and will, I fervently hope, continue to do so in the future.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

A good book, and a fast paced read! Not my favourite but I’m definitely going to pick up this author again!

This a cleverly written fast paced domestic thriller which is told from three points of view and an unknown narrator.
Starting with a hit and run and the phone calls to the emergency services from people with differing accounts, it pulled me straight into the story. The chapters are short and to the point and the characters well drawn. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you engrossed, and I recommend it to readers of this genre.

With a past and present timeline, the way the book started with the accident grabbed me. To tell you the truth I wasnt overly susprised with the twists so it affected my rating.

Cute story that picks up a few years after Unhoneymooners ends. This is the story of Olive and Ethan's wedding preparation, where her sister Amy is taking on the planning of the island nuptials. It's an audiobook, the narrators are good and the story is a novella that keeps you listening.

A lot of unexpected twists and turns in this story. It definitely kept me interested and intrigued. I did not expect the ending or the relationships that were formed. Definitely recommend this.

Shame on you, Damon Kennedy! This is the story of a man that is completely addicted to women. Damon ends up hit by a car in the middle of traffic on a rainy day. What Damon does not know is that his wife is onto his never ending game of collecting women and he needs to pay.
Told in 4 POV's - wife, girlfriend, therapist and one anonymous person, we learn about Damon's transgressions and how they have impacted each women's life.
This was fast paced with nicely developed characters - I felt bad for all of them but at the same time thought they were all so desperate and naive. Very satisfying ending, you will be guessing all along!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. I really struggled with this one!! The premise sounded great but it fell flat. I couldn't relate to the characters and almost didn't finish the book.

It takes most of the book to find out what really is The Truth About the Accident, but Nicole Trope makes the journey so worthwhile in her new psych thriller.
The prologue introduces us to a pivotal character – without letting us know exactly who that is and who is speaking about them. That becomes important later in the book, as chapters from this person are interspersed throughout the plot.
The first chapter is also a grabber, as it consists of calls to 911 following an accident in an intersection during a torrential rainstorm. If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice something striking right from the beginning.
(No spoilers, just pay attention to what the callers are saying).
The rest of the story unfolds from the perspectives of three women: Marla, Sonya, and Athena. Each of them has a tie to the victim of the accident. And each of them has deep secrets – also tied to the victim.
The author does a good job of keeping the reader guessing as to ulterior motives of each, while also building each of the women’s characters. Are they more similar than they (and we as readers) think? Is there something they know that the reader doesn’t?
And that “speaker” in the prologue…is that one of the women or someone else? Not telling.
In time, the twists really start to hit, and the reader realizes how the stories of the three women intertwine. It’s just excellent pacing all around.
One of the things I liked was the authenticity of each of the women. Their attitudes, reasonings, and motivations are organic, and each character is fully realized.
The resolution is a little bit far-fetched, but by that time, the reader is so invested that it doesn’t matter. I actually celebrated that each of the women got their “turn” in the resolution. And the last part? It makes a terrific bookend to the prologue.
I am a huge fan of Nicole Trope. The Truth About the Accident is one of her best, and I look forward to her next psych thriller.

The Truth About the Accident was an interesting read but unfortunately it just didn't keep my attention. By the books description, I was looking for something that was a little more thriller/mystery and less family drama so I ended up not finishing the book. I may end up coming back when I am in the mood for this type of book, but as of right now I am not going to be finishing.
Thank you, Bookouture, for the gifted copy!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

If you're a fan of fast paced thrillers with lots of twists, then you should definitely check this one out. Thanks to Netgalley for an ARC of this book!
