Disney Villains Happily never after- Vanessa is a reimaginging/retelling I never knew I needed. Many Thanks to NetGalley and Igloo Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

So the story follows Vanessa aka Ursula from the little mermaid as a human. I loved that the author went down the route of showing the life of Vanessa as a human on land as it shows a whole different side to her and gives her more depth. The overall story was well written and paced, even if some of her decisions stressed me out and made me slightly frustrated with her as a character.

Pacing and world building were well done throughout.

I’m extremely curious to see more from both this author and in the Disney series as I assume other villains will also get moments to shine!

I have really enjoyed reading the "grown up" disney series, and so when I saw this on Netgally I was super excited and even more so that it was Ursulas story as she is my favourite villan. Of course its light hearted and nothing serious but that is what I read for, to escape into a totally fictious world and this book was perfect for that.

I had fun, loved the character development and the storytelling. An entertaining and well written story.

I love all things Disney and I love these twisted tales. Ursula is such a great villain. This is another great original tale in these storyline retellings. This book tells the story of Ursula via Vanessa her on land self. It was really clever and a great storyline. It is a fantastic read for us Disney and Little mermaid fans.

Absolutely fantastic and original , the idea of telling Ursula’s story via her on land self was really clever and no spoilers but it’s a fantastic story. It will delight fans of Disney and the little mermaid of all ages, fans of Ursula will definitely be excited just like me.

Very excited to acquire this title! As a huge TLM fan and with the live action movie coming our way it will be fantastic to get a perspective from Vanessa point of view. Can’t wait! Our readers of all ages are going to love this one!
