An addictive read. Very well-written and deals with some challenging topics. The structure of the acts and switching between the perspectives of the two main characters works great - this certainly contributes to wanting to read on. I would have learned a lot reading this when in my teens.
This was a really unique story that I've not read before - where you get to see the perspective of the victim and the abuser - and I think it was incredibly well-written. I think this is quite a topical book, with many discussions about young relationships where one is much older and of legal age.
The characters could however sometimes fall a bit flat and therefore feel difficult to relate to but even disregarding this the novel was compelling and interesting.
A uniquely compelling coming of age story that captured the sheer confusion and pressure that comes with being a teenager, especially a teenager in love. I adored the 'acts' and theatrical theme parallel with with play. I found it a little hard to connect at times, finding the narration a bit distant but overall a very powerful and emotive story.
