A beautifully deep and meaningful novel about more than just love but lost communication reconnection. So much more than a surface read I loved it.

"1993. When Kit meets Summer on the backpacking trip of lifetime, he falls head over heels in love, certain that what they have is much more than just a holiday romance."

This was a lovely soft gentle summer read about Kit and Summer meeting for just under a week and then spending the next seven months (in fact the sum total of the book) trying to find each other again. Through lots of misunderstandings, things not said or explained, happenchance and a sprinkle of bad luck we follow Summer and Kit's journey. I guess the ending was a little predictable, but I enjoyed it nevertheless, and I found the inclusion of the hares in various parts of the book endearing.

A heartfelt and bittersweet love story that takes readers on a journey of romance, deception, and the enduring power of connections made during a memorable backpacking trip. Kit's infatuation with Summer is palpable, and the initial stages of their relationship feel genuine and full of promise. However, the story takes a twist when Kit discovers that Summer might not be who she claimed to be. As Kit and Summer go their separate ways, each believing the other has disappeared from their lives forever.

A tale of missed opportunities and second chances, leaving readers pondering the question of whether fate can bring two people back together after a series of missteps. It's a novel that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a warm, hopeful feeling by the end.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book.

I really liked the blurb of the book and was immediately drawn to the inevitable tension due to the fact that the characters go months without seeing each other. I thought it had the potential to be a beautiful love story about reconnecting with a lost lover.
Although the premise is very intriguing, I unfortunately did not connect with the narrative and the characters. The writing style is easy however, at times I felt like the plot was too simple but was getting overcomplicated for no reason.
It was also hard to get past the various misunderstandings in the book that would have been avoided if the characters were honest with each other.
I will say that Summer and Kit are two amazing characters that are definitely meant to be. I loved that they had their sweet, happy ending. I just wish there wasn’t all the drama in between (which I know is the whole plot of the book).

Don’t be discouraged to pick up this book, I have seen countless of good reviews about this book, but I just think it was not for me

An ethereal and magical relationship that is abruptly halted by circumstances beyond the control of both Kit and Summer. I read this opening chapter with an impending sense of doom… Which was how I felt throughout. Both Kit and Summer Feel helpless, and somehow seem to give up despite the special nature of their time together in India.

I felt saddened by the turn of events, But even with the choices that they both made, I was praying for them to come back together…

Did it happen? you need to read the book to find out! Suffice to say, I had leaky eyes and enjoyed this somewhat meandering, yet absorbing tale of summer and Kit.

Thought this sounded like an interesting take on the classic tragic love story, but unfortunately I couldn't connect to either narrative and couldn't particularly find myself rooting for them.

A wonderful and adorable love story. That is beautifully weaved throughout the book. Telling the story from the first meeting, carrying through being thrown apart and then coming back together, picking up the pieces of what has happened. Moving on after you have met the love of your life and finding who you truly are. I really liked the fact that it was set in two places India and Britain. I also really liked the character and their love story. .

Seven Months of Summer is a beautifully weaved love story that captures the magic of love at first meeting thrown apart by unfortunate circumstances. The well written story, focussed on picking up the pieces of a lost connection and dealing with moving on after meeting someone you can’t forget. The story captured my interest quickly from the first chapter with the hustle and bustle of Indian life. A contrast with the beautiful descriptive writing of the British coastal setting. Saskia’s passion for nature shines through her writing. I loved the element of near misses between Kit and Summer despite being so close. A brilliant story.

I adored this read from Sarginson, the plot is quite simple but it very effective. We start with Summer and Kit meeting and falling for each other. Then dramatic events happen in their lives that pull them apart and we follow them as they learn whether they can get back together or not.
The plot is effective and kept my interest whilst also being a very emotional one. There are some very sad aspects to this, as well as happiness and laughter, Sarginson captures all the emotion perfectly and I felt everything the characters were going through.
Summer and Kit are two wonderful characters to get to know and follow on their journey. I adored both of them and seeing them together made them all the more special.
'Seven Months of Summer' is the perfect, feel good read and I loved every page of it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for an advance copy.

Seven Months of Summer appears to be the love story of the summer! I love a good love story and I know our readers do as well! I cannot wait to meet Kit and Summer. I always love that will they won’t they meet again vibe throughout a story. What makes this one even more interesting is just how close they are too one another even if they don’t know it yet! This novel is perfect to drum up summer weather vibes, romance, and how important it is to seize each day which I am so here for. I think I will be making this our book club selection for August. Very excited to share more soon.
