This was the next instalment of
This cosy sweet shop series and could be read as a standalone but I highly recommend starting from
The beginning for the full series and enjoyment.
This chapter focused on hollies continuing relationship between Ben and Giles and kept the reader on their toes as to where her loyalties lied and also focused on the other aspects of her life and how things were progressing since she took over
The sweet shop and focused on the highs and lows she faced in her loved life and in running her own business.
Look forward to the next instalment to see where her life takes her next
This is a light and fun read with interesting and relatable characters. Would recommend.
Thank you to Hannah Lynn, NetGalley, and Boldwood Books for the arc of this book.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I loved reading this book.
Pregnant Holly in two minds, regarding the baby’s father Ben and Giles.
With Ben she attends sessions with a relationship guidance counsellor, and whilst doing the shopping she meets Giles.
I felt that those at the baby group weren’t a friendly bunch with Holly.
It was lovely to see her being there for the staff at the sweet shop she owns.
I recommend this book.
3.5 stars.
I didn’t *love* this novel. I enjoyed the others in the series but I feel that maybe the story is at its end because I didn’t like the storyline between Holly, Ben and Giles.
The storyline just seemed a little pointless.
Another story of Hollys candy shop finds Holly about to have a baby with Ben. Can she overcome all their differences and will they stay together?
Another great follow up from Hannah Lynn about Holly Berry and her sweet shop. An easy to read story, I can't wait for the next installment!
Thank you NetGalley and publishers for the Arc of high hopes at the second chances sweet shop, by Hannah Lynn.
It’s part of a series but can be read as a stand alone, I don’t recommend you do that though. Read them all and be fully immersed.
Holly Berry is having a tough time with being pregnant, running her sweet shop and juggling two men in her life.
She learns to be independent in thus third book in the series, full of ups and downs. A good summer read with many hidden surprises and lots of love.
Another solid, endearing, lovely story at the sweet shop. This installment isn't nearly as fantastical or dreamy, but it's real, just like life. It had many more downs than the others, but I enjoyed it every bit as much. All of the favorite friends are back, and the ending threw me for a loop in a good way. I can't wait for the final book to see how it ends. Hope wins in this story! Highly recommended!
High Hopes at the Second Chances Sweet Shop - Hannah Lynn
This book is part of a series but I read it as a stand alone and this was perfectly fine, in fact this was my first book from this author and I would very much like to read more from her in the future. This book was more based around Holly's incoming family member rather than her Sweet shop, which I wasn't expecting and I felt I personally would have like more of this ( maybe I should go back and read some of the previous books!) I enjoyed the back and forth between Holly Giles and Ben. Thank you Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Hannah Lynn for the E-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions.
There are more in this series but I read as a stand alone . Holly is pregnant and torn between the father Ben and Giles. Very interesting. She goes to relationship guidance with Ben then slips off to food shop with Giles . Loved that. Her baby group were not friendly as they should have been. Loved the sweet shop she owned and how she supported her staff. A good ending . A mothers love comes first.
After enjoying the original story of Holly and the sweet shop this disappointed. Holly and Ben both came off as untruthful and even unkind, which seemed so changed from the first story.
