All the Little Raindrops is a captivating romantic suspense. This story hooked me from start to finish with all of its twists and turns. The story is about two abducted teenagers, Noelle and Evan. Mia Sheridan grabs you right off the bat with her writing and characters. This is a story that is better to go in blind. Enjoy!!!

4 Dark and Devious Stars!!

As soon as I heard this book was coming I immediately added it to my TBR. I’m a lover of all things Mia Sheridan and this book set in the same world, sort of, of her Where series grabbed my attention from the very first page.

Noelle wakes up in a dark room that turns out to be a cell and she has no idea how or why she’s there. Evan, who’s father shot and killed Noelle’s mom, joins her in this cell and you’d think because of their “connection” they’d want nothing to do with each other. But alas, in this situation and with what happens to them in this proverbial hell, they form a bond and are determined to escape and leave behind their trauma the best they can.

But their past comes calling when Evan, now a PI reconnects with Noelle to solve the mystery of what happened to them and possibly others. This book is dark and gritty and filled with moments that were alluded to quite well without all the shocking details leaving it to our imagination. Which for me was genius on Ms. Sheridan’s part. We’re given clues as to who “The Collector” is but he’s cunning and devious and does a really good job of alluding being outed.

That doesn’t stop this pair from their mission and they start a journey of discovery, filled with moments so intense that I was gasping. Secrets are revealed, a passion for each other neither was expecting to be rekindled and revelations so horrifying it can boggle the mind.

I don’t want to give too much away because this is a book you need to read. If you’re like me, you’ll be as captivated as I was wanting to find out what happens next!

To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

I'm so pissed. The beginning gave me chills. Had me quickly turning the page. The first 20-25% or so had me on the edge of my seat. The chills I felt from "the game" kept me glued with anticipation of what's to come. The feelings and tension from the characters amped up that anticipation even more. I was in heaven.

To go from that to…nothing… was a huge let down. Dark readers are going to go into this thinking they are getting a treat. A mind fuck. Nope. Around 25% all the thrill went away and it got BORING. It turned TAME in comparison. And it stayed PG for the rest of the book, except for a few spots later into it. But by those parts, I didn't really give two craps. I was no longer on the edge of my seat waiting with high anticipation for the twists and turns.

The characters left no lasting impression. Hell I can't even remember the chick's name. The only reason I remember the dude is because he shared a name with one of my boys. They no longer had chemistry or tension. The story became all about the tell and absolutely no show. To top it off, the author wanted us to believe that these two were madly, deeply in love with minimal interaction over the last 7 years. They went 7 years without seeing each other...and before that they spent VERY LITTLE time together, outside of the time they were in the cages. Sorry not believing it.

Anyway, you are welcome to read it but it isn't one I would recommend. And if you do, hopefully you like it better than I did. I couldn't wait for the ending.

This new novel by Mia Sheridan takes us into a dark world from which we cannot emerge unscathed. It is impossible to remain impassive with so much horror and inhumanity. The heroine is looking for the exact word to define what happened to her, she uses the word "Evil" and this word perfectly represents all the darkness of the story. This novel is not for everyone, you have to be able to bear reading brutal scenes, but if you are a fan of suspense, twisted minds, dark investigations... you will find what you are looking for! Mia is a master of detailed scenarios and puzzles, but above all she has an incredible talent for taking us by the hand and taking us to the heart of her story. We are voyeurs, we are participants, we bet on the courage of the protagonists. We live every word, every scene, until we forget everything that is around us. Our heart rate accelerates, our mind spins at rapid speed, we become anxious, we also breathe with relief sometimes, we admire enormously.
The author seems to have an immeasurable passion for human psychology, especially for its extremes. The absolute evil that rots the souls of heartless people, as well as the goodness of the hearts of beautiful souls. She often offers us a range of nuances, but in this novel, I find that she works mainly on the extremes. Some people are just unforgivable, too rotten to the core. Our protagonists are inherently good and resilient. Mia shows us, on the other hand, that good can be born from evil, that the circle can be broken. Which gives hope. In a way, she doesn't invent anything, she even compares her story to History with a capital H. She doesn't invent absolute evil in certain beings. Her historical example is truly judicious.
Evan Sinclair is young, handsome, very rich and with a bright future when he is kidnapped. Noelle is young, beautiful, poor, but determined to succeed when she is kidnapped. The book begins when they find themselves in the same place, without knowing who kidnapped them and why. We immediately learn the link that binds them and we guess that this link is not trivial. I won't tell you more about what they experience, what they survive. But I can tell you that you will inevitably be in awe of their resilience. There is even something superhuman in this courage. Later, the heroine explains that sometimes without knowing it, we are born with this force which pushes us towards the light.
It would have been easy to end this novel on their release but the author had a much more complicated plan in mind, a Machiavellian plan, incredibly well thought out. Our protagonists are looking for answers, they go from discovery to discovery, we turn the pages with eagerness... Everything is perfectly controlled, measured, logical. Intense. Brutal. Captivating. The love story between Noelle and Evan is unusual, tortuous, complicated, heavy with their past. Quite realistically, it takes time for them to heal. But these two were meant to be together.
The evil that surrounded them, that hurt them deeply, had no impact on their souls. I say it again, I infinitely admire their resilience.
The ending is perfect in every way. Out of the question to give you details but another ending would have disappointed me.
In short, a breathtaking novel, mastered to perfection by the queen of the genre.

Little did I know the dedication serves a strong message for Evan and Noelle.

Heartbreaking. Brutal. Beautiful. A raw combination of all three that will leave you in such a surreal state.

My heart weeped for Evan and Noelle, so deeply. But, what I love most about Mia’s writing is just how unique and brutally powerful her stories are. Evan and Noelle are wounded warriors, coming through their most heartbreaking and unspeakable battles with more than their emotional and physical traumas, with a connection to each other that nothing can break.

After reading this, I’m left raw. Full of all the emotions. I’m awe of Mia’s writing, or Evan and Noelle.

All the Little Raindrops is stunning and brutal story of survival, connection, refuge. A standout read for this year.

As soon as this book popped up on my kindle, I dove in. This a page turning highly addicting story. A perfect 6 star master piece.

It’s a very twisted tale that kept me hooked from the very beginning to the end. I never knew what was going to happen next. It was full of twists and turns. Bottomline this is a must read.

Mia Sheridan kicks off the story with a bang, plunging readers right into the action. I was totally invested in the characters and the plot, eager to unravel the mystery of Noelle and Evan's kidnapping.

“He craved her. He needed the solace only she offered. But she also triggered him in a way no one else could.”

As a fan of Mia Sheridan, I must say she knows how to create suspense, although I did feel that the romantic side could've been fleshed out more. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was excited to join the characters in their journey of discovery. Everything came together seamlessly in the end, a testament to the author's skill in crafting a well-rounded story.

The story board must've taken the entire wall on Mia sheridan's home cause it is ELABORATE. Complex deceitful lies are dotted in the perplexing web of schemes and Games.
It's heavy on sentiments. the dread builds up slowly, my pulse thrummed and my heart beat loud whenever the door opened and red shoes appeared.

“Torturous material. Handle with care.”

The stuff that's done to the captives, rests like a boulder on your chest and Mia isn't holding back on those scenes. They're plenty and necessary to prove the gruesomeness of the dire situations that characters are in. I lost hope at a point, to be very honest.
Generally dark thrillers start with a buildup, situations leading up to the main crime and the victims are introduced beforehand.

"They’d won some sick, twisted game. Just like the gladiators of old, who won their freedom when they won the battle. "

Mia drops us in a raging shit storm, without a paddle and the torture and ordeal is in full swing. It hits you like a blowback from an explosion where at first you can't believe what your mind is seeing.
A dark basement with cages and two children - Noelle and Evan Sinclair, held prisoners. Both are supposedly victims of kidnapping and R@pe by people upstairs who Rent them.
Their relationship, much like Cedar and Grim, is so intricately woven, when do strangers cross the thin line to ward, it boggles the mind. Noelle and Evan are on opposite sides of the social and friendship spectrum, still their trauma bond drives them to depend on each other.

"We leave here whole. We leave here together."

Seriously gut sickening from the word go.
amidst all this sits The Collector
His persona was the most intriguing, like the puppet master, pulling strings and toying with the hapless prisoners.
The story progresses and a miraculous event changes the entire course of their fate.
But freedom comes with a heavy dark cloud of PTSD that hangs around both of them.

"I love you, and it’s why, when this is over, I’ll let you go.
Again."

The journey back for closure, is like going to a haunted ride in the dark. A ghost pops out at every turn, demons lurk within daylight.

“They say this is where the monsters are housed, but I know that’s not true. The true monsters? They’re out there.” He jerked his head toward the window.
“And they run in packs. They always run in packs.”

To say the book is interesting is the understatement of the year.
Written in most Unlike-Mia fashion, it's challenging, it's eviscerating, it's taxing on the soul.
An atmospheric pressure cooker that explodes in the end, annihilating everything in sight.
This is a really tightly crafted psychologicla/crime thriller, down to the final page and resolution. Mia's deeply developed characters and love angle elevate the story beyond others in the genre, but even without that, this would be among the better thrillers I've read in a while. When you layer in that depth, this rises to be something really special.

This was such an intense read, so well written and captivating from the first chapter. It was dark, and there are parts you just want to read through fast just to get to the outcome. The suspense, twists and secrets just keep coming. There was a need to see how it all tied together. I was so impressed with the way it all fit at the end.

Mia is absolute legend, I devour her books because she just makes each one of them a masterpiece.

Seven years ago Noelle's mom was shot by Evan's dad. The court ruled it an accident.
Now, 18 year olds Noelle and Evan find themselves kidnapped and held in a dark cage with no idea why, where, who, what? What is happening? It has to be connected with what happened to their parents, right?
They both go to the same highschool, but the do not run in the same circles. Evan is super rich and Noelle's dad had to work super hard these last years just to keep his business and to pay all those lawyer bills!
And now here they are in hell with no idea how to get out or if they even should keep on fighting through all the horrible things that are being done to them.
But - they can escape and years later they're back together to finally find out what happened back then and why and who and all the things!

Well... I liked reading this.
It might be very triggery for some readers. Horrible things are being done to our darlings in that place. And I kinda had the feeling that I've read the exact same kidnappy thing before from Mia? I suffer from Bookalzheimers, but wasn't that what happened in Where the Blame Lies? Well, obviously it's not the same story, but the same kind of kidnap vibe. But pff... I still loved reading this.
At first we get this very sad and dangerous and dark captivity part with Noelle and Evan trying to escape. Which they finally do. But we still don't know what happened and why?!
And then we jump a bit in time.
The haven't seen in each other in years.
But new things have come to light and now they're detectiving their way through the rest of the book.
I really enjoyed that. The second part a bit more than the first part - obviously - I didn't like to see them suffer!
I loved the detecting and mystery part and I loved the sweet private scenes.
Great story!

I wouldn't mind seeing this as a Netflix thing one day.

All the Little Raindrops starts off intense. There is no build up. The emotional climb begins and so does the suspense and the anxiety. Two people who should be enemies find themselves in the most unlikely and unimaginable circumstances. Noelle and Evan are held captive but don't know why. They are subjected to horrific acts and difficult choices. Finally they are somehow able to escape their captors. The end, right?

All the Little Raindrops is gut wrenching and suspenseful. Full of twists and “oh no!” moments. As the story builds, so does the complexity. It will keep you guessing until the end. The mood of this story is on the darker side – most likely Ms. Sheridan’s darkest, and may contain triggers for some. However, I felt that there was a balance of darkness. She takes us right up to the edge, but not over it. The story is layered and detailed in all of the right places.

“Beauty and violence. It was their ambrosia”

There are two very distinct sides of Mia Sheridan. There is the sweet, warm, hearts and flowers romance author side and then there is psychological thriller side. I kept thinking I knew, I just knew who the horrible person was that did these terrible things. But then did I really? All the Little Raindrops will take you out of your comfort zone. It is intense and continues to pack a punch up until the end. Well done Ms. Sheridan. Well done!
