This book sounded like it had the premise to be fantasic and intruging, Unfortunately it was not at all.
It was very boring and not engaging with the reader. The editing could use some work. It didnt feel like a memoir at all, but im also not to sure what genre id classify it either. there was little to no flow in the overall story.

Thank you to BooksGoSocial and Netgalley for the ARC

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I very much wanted to like this book, given the premise. That being said, I do think this book showed some promise. This was weighed down by some of the glaring issues of the book.

While I do see the aspects of a memoir in this book, it read more like creative nonfiction mixed with sci-fi. Maybe that is how this book should have been marketed, all things considered.

I also feel the author was let down by their editors, as this book desperately needed a few more washes through the editing phase. In addition, the e-book formatting was horrendous and made it difficult to read.

I think the premise and the content itself hold a lot of potential, but the mark was missed by quite a bit. I hope the author is able to take this criticism for future consideration, as I do feel they have some incredible ideas and concepts in this book!

I’m really disappointed that I couldn’t finished this memoir.

Based on the synopsis of the book it sounded a read that I would like, it seemed interesting and a unique memoir. It’s unfortunate that the book turned out the opposite.

I was bored while reading it, the story didn’t gripped me the way I wanted to, the storyline was confusing, it felt all over the place with so many time jumps.

I am really intrigued but books like this. I find them very interesting. This did not disappoint. It was a little confusing due to the jumping about and the many narrators but interesting non the less.

I honestly have no clue what this book is supposed to be about. It reads like science fiction, it jumps all over the place, and is difficult to understand and follow. I was really intrigued by the description but I feel like the book itself was just very oddly laid out. I expected the stories to be more about individuals, but then realized they all seemed to be one person. Or maybe multiple people within one person, that being someone with DID, which would make sense. But it still jumped around so much that I found it difficult to follow and understand the story. And I cannot figure out the role the old man played or even if he was a real person. He seemed like a made up character. It was very odd and hard to follow and get into it and I just didn’t enjoy as I had hoped I would.

As usual, since this is a memoir I won’t rate it but I will review it.

I received this from NetGalley as a read now and boy oh boy do I hope the final version is in better shape than this almost unreadable version I found myself sifting through. I first had it sent to my kindle because without the backlight it is easier on my eyes but the formatting what a complete mess and I found it hard to read. So I decided to just download it on the NetGalley app and see if the formatting was better. It was, but it’s clearly a PDF and the print is SO SMALL I was constantly zooming in and out to either read or turn the page. It just was reader friendly in either way I had access to it. My library doesn’t have a copy so I powered through these by reading one until I couldn’t take it anymore and then switching for the 400 pages of this book. So honestly, I don’t remember much else about it and that really isn’t fair. But as a warning to other NetGalley readers, unless you have a tablet or great eyesight maybe find this one elsewhere.

The rating I’m leaving on NetGalley is required and reflects the difficulty I had with the formatting rather than the content of the book.

Just not for me. I didn't understand it at all and DNF at about 20 percent. It was confusing and I just couldn't connect with it.

This is quite an interesting read and is written to keep you focused since there’s many different narrators and stories. It’s was weird to me since this is a first read with this type of structure, if your looking for linear plot you should look elsewhere but in terms of intriguing writing styles, this is definitely worth the time but make sure to pay attention or you can get really lost throughout the book. Not for me to be honest but fairly interesting.

I found this book really interesting!
I always like learning about places like these and reading fictional stories set in this type of place.
Definitely worth the read if it’s your type of thing.

Interesting memoir written in a way that actually feels different from all the other ones. Kind of reminded me of Operators and Things not sure if that's what they were going for but I really enjoyed it.

It’s kind of weird, though, so people expecting a structured, linear plot should look elsewhere. But in terms of interesting ideas and intriguing writing styles, this is definitely worth the time.
