This is a book about taking a trip to someplace new, in this case Aruba. The book is about the things that our character sees while they’re in this new location. The book is straightforward, and the artwork is amazing. It’s bright, it’s colorful, it’s vibrant, and it really puts the emotion on the page. The story isn’t bad; however, the authors rhymes are incredibly harsh. Sometimes they work well sometimes they don’t. It breaks up the cadence, which makes this it a tongue twister. Overall, I like the book, but I hope the next ones are better.
This book felt like it was translated. The rhyming was off and some of the pages didn't make sense. Cute pictures but not one I'd add to our collection.
Kayan Goes to Aruba by Rohit Loomba is a cute book about a young girl’s travel adventure. I liked the illustrations. This book would be perfect for any type of story time. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.
This is a cute book. The lines don't actually rhyme, but have similar sounds at the end of words. The book is cleverly written and there are things common to Aruba mentioned throughout it.
Kayan Goes to Aruba by Rohit Loomba, Illustrated by Margherita Passerini
The book Kayan goes to Aruba, is from Kayan’s travel series. Kayan loves to travel, and he lands in Aruba where he discovers a different land with colorful homes, pristine beaches and a rich variety of animals and plants. Kayan also explores going on a walk. He takes a dip in the water to explore the wondrous sea life.
The book introduces Kayan’s love for travel which is noteworthy especially in today’s digital age. Kayan inspires its readers to look for the beauty in nature and to enjoy adventure as one travels to a distant land. The book comes with colorful illustrations, and rhyming words. The book would have been more impressive with engaging text, and more relatable characters along with Kayan.
Also, readers can keep looking for upcoming travel book where Kayan ventures in yet another land.

Hit - I came across a lovely get ready for vacation book. The author shows the entire process of traveling, adventures, sightseeing, and food. While Kayan went to Aruba, the book could be used to teach a child regardless of the destination what to anticipate when traveling.
The illustrations pop, and I particularly liked the underwater graphics.
A nice gift for an anxious child or one that needs a visual aid.
Thank you NetGalley and Arashi Publishing for accepting my request to read and review Kayan Goes to Aruba.

I love that this book encourages kids to be excited about all aspects of traveling and exploring the world. I liked that the book had a bit of a sneak peak and introduction too about what you can see if you travelled to Aruba and we can’t wait to see where Kayan goes to next.
I love travel books for kids and if we are going away anywhere I always made sure that I get something for my daughter to read before we go and to take with us – I loved how excited she gets. This is a perfect story for a little one getting ready for a vacation to Aruba and I hope that the series expands to further locations.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, highly recommended!

Thank you, Netgalley and Arashi Publishing, for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I rarely review children's books, but as a lover of Aruba, I couldn't resist this one!
This was a cute, short introduction to the island of Aruba for small children. I can see this being read to kids at night as they are preparing for their first trip. The illustrations are well drawn, although a few things are inconsistent with Aruba, such as clumps of dune grasses, rarely seen on island, but overall representative.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
