It’s purely unapologetic in its unadulterated steam but as always this insta lust story leads to something else!
Smart, well paced with yummy funny characters, this story had me wondering about the many facets of app “dating”.
How it all ends is the fun of reading this story and not only am I hooked but I can’t wait for more!

This was my first book by this author and I was impressed! I’m going to have to check out her back list now because that wasn’t enough.

They meet on a hook up app and attend a masquerade party. They had an amazing connection that night and then she ghosts him. Five years later.. he’s her boss! I love a good workplace romance..with the close proximity and forbiddeness of a boss/employee relationship.

And the spice? Yes, please. It was great.

This was a really fun, short, spicy read.

I'm not the biggest fan of insta love, but I actually enjoyed how this one went. You could feel the chemistry between Drake and Easton from the get go. I loved the aspect of the dating app and finding your person. I love seeing a power house woman being the center of the business world. It is really refreshing to remember that it isn't just men that try to run the world. The way that Marni write her spicy scenes are out of this world. I would say the this book was mostly spice with a side plot. However, I am on board with it!

This is my first Marni Mann read and I honestly have mixed reviews. I'm still giving this 3 stars. It is setting itself up for a decent series. I didn't love the first part - I know it was setting us up for the rest of the book, but Easton came across as a real f*ckboy and really one dimensional.

Once we hit part 2 - and got into dual POV, I thought it got stronger and less one-dimensional. Drake and Easton together were cute - supportive, loads of chemistry and there was SPICE (this is identified as one of Marni Mann's contemporary romance - and some of her other books are identified as erotic -- This one is SPICY - so I can't imagine what those would be like). We have no third act break-up (which fits with how Easton feels about Drake). This reminded me a little of old school Christina Lauren (their "Beautiful" series).

This is the first in a new series and this is Easton and Drake’s story. Easton and a couple of his friends designed a dating app, which is successful, and he connects with “Love”, until she disappears. Now 5-years later Drake comes into his life, and they embark on a no strings attached hook-up, but their hearts know differently.
This is a well written story which is easy to read, with undeniable chemistry, friendships, romance, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and fun addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Hooked is an interesting take on the forbidden office romance trope.

Easton and his two best friends develop a one night stand app called Hooked, it matches you on percentage and he never expected to find someone a 100% match to him but he does with Drake, however all he knows is her username!

He starts chatting to his match, Love, and they hit it off and decide to meet at a masquerade ball and they continue to hit it off straight away with an instant connection, at least he thought so until she disappears and he has no way of finding her.

Flash forward, Drake is hired at Hooked, now one of the most successful dating apps, making Easton her new boss, but they don’t realise they’ve met before straight away.

Easton and Drake are hot together, this is a faced paced book with instant connection and spicy scenes. I’m not a big fan of Insta love but if you’re looking for a fun read with light angst then this is the book for you.

A quick meet that turns into someone you constantly crave but are unsure why. That won’t leave your head. When your body has a physical reaction just by hearing their voice. Combustible chemistry. And then they’re gone. Years later and opportunity for the ultimate second chance.

Mr. Boston & Love meet on the Hooked platform, and the mystery behind Love’s character was done so well. Like, you have to wait to find out who she was. Especially because of I was either of them I could never wait and keep the mystery up for that long. And then when theirs reunited, you get a saucy forbidden romance until a possible betrayal tests their relationship, as well as their job. This book was really fun to read, and the spice was definitely up to Marni’s standard!

If there is one thing you can count on in a Marni Mann book, that is spice. And let me tell you this one did not disappoint! There was also a great story that was told too! If you like second chance romances make sure to check this one out! I loved Easton and Drake! I was hooked from the very moment I started this one! I couldn’t put it down! It was a true one sit read! I will also say that this was a great start to a new series. You got great world building without taking away from Drake and Easton’s story! I loved all the side characters and can’t wait for their stories! Overall a great read that I definitely recommend!

Mr Hook-Up is the beginning of a new series by Marni Mann and it's started with a bang.

Easton and Love are clearly meant to be together but can't make it work for one reason or another resulting in the parting of ways.

Years later, enter Drake and whatever you thought you knew ? You'd best forget that!

Their journey to HEA begins smoothly enough but there are some bumps along the way that need manoeuvring around.

This offers the opportunity for some cameo appearances from characters of another Marni Mann series...its nice to see old friends again and the link is seamless!

The story of Easton and Drake is beautifully crafted with the skill you'd associate with this author.

The dialogue between characters drives this story forward so well that you'll not want to put this book down.

I'm so looking forward to whatever or whoever comes along next in Hooked!

I knew Marni would not let us down with this one! The tension, the passion, the wayyyy I was giggling the whole time reading.

Drake and Easton were a match made for each other..literally. After Easton created a dating app with his buddies, Easton was the only one who matched 100% with someone..after one hot night without names or faces to recognize, they split. Now 5 years later they meet again only now Easton is Drake’s boss.

Easton stole my heart almost immediately. The way he fell so hard and so fast for Love despite himself was everything. Even with their anonymity their chemistry was palpable and even knowing things would fall apart I was still crushed for him. Drake was truly his perfect match. Their text banter had me swooning and their hook-ups had me sweating. Marni always brings the spice and this was no exception.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great second chance, workplace drama with soul mate vibes and a good heaping spoonful of spice.

I was introduced to Marni Mann when a friend of mine read The Lawyer over a year ago. To this day, that is one of my favorite books written by Marni. Mr. Hookup has many of the things I loved about The Lawyer.

The spice. The banter. The angst. This book is fast paced. I loved the interaction between Easton and Drake. Their connection kept me telling myself "Just one more page." into the wee hours of the morning. Their camping trip is so thoughtful and sweet. I love when the MC is just as invested in the relationship as the FMC is.

This has been my favorite Marni Mann book thus far and has hit the perfect balance of swoon and spice!

The boys behind Hooked have designed the perfect app for finding the ideal one night stand created with anonymity in mind and one of the creators has scored 100% compatibility with one of the app’s users. One hot night and a spicy memento from his secret CInderella on top of their ongoing virtual relationship are enough to keep Easton falling for his Love, until she disappears from the app and his life. Five years later Easton is stunned by the chemistry with the company’s new recruit, Drake, but is still holding onto his fantasy of his Love.

I am Hooked (😉) on this new series from Marni Mann! The spice never fails and works to enhance their relationship. I loved that Easton and Drake were an absolute powerhouse couple and that Drake was such a confident, capable woman in a male dominated field. I also really appreciated the other co-founders of Hooked stepping up to support their friend when he needed them. If you’ve been missing the Dalton brothers - look no further for their fun cameo in this story! This book was a great time, and I can’t wait for more in this world.

Marni Mann has done it again with a super spicy read that brings the drama along for the ride. This book is so easy to read. The chapters are short which is nice. There is a nice little plot line that follows Easton and Drake from a dating app hook up turned more (that unfortunately didn't last) through a chance meet up years later when Drake is interviewing for Easton and his partners. Thanks to the circumstances of the dating app, neither of the two MCs knew the identity of the other.

The premise is interesting and there is a nice little turn the story takes that adds enough drama to keep things interesting in the third act without needed a break up story line. The spice is off the charts which is par for the course with this author. I can't wait to experience this one on audio!!

This was a lot of fun. It's a very fast paced book and really liked that. They had such a strong connection and it happened so quickly. I appreciated the fact that they had good communication and didn't keep anything from each other. The one thing is that I would have liked to see more domestic moments between them. They were briefly described but I wanted more detail.

Drake is in grad school & is working for a company that requires her to travel all over & a lot. She is a very hard worker, dedicated, loyal, & professional. She is extremely smart & skilled at what she does, & she is very sought after in her line of work. So when she joins Hooked & finds she has matched 100% with someone, she is surprised & is hoping for some fun in her life while she is still in Boston. However, she has to move for work shortly after & leaves the app.

The Spice:
This book was SPICYYY. I loved how soon the spice started in the beginning, & Easton & Drake’s chemistry was explosive from the get-go so I was definitely hooked from the start. Even five years later when they reunite, it is like there was no time in between for them. I loved the tension, teasing, flirting, & banter - all of that made things much more hot. Also, I’m pretty sure Easton has a praise kink because damn... he just never stopped haha.

Final Thoughts:
I absolutely loved this book! It hooked me from the very start & I wish it never ended. Easton is THE sweetest MMC I’ve read in forever, & I just loved him so much! He is ALWAYS praising Drake. While he is sweet as can be, he is pretty mischievous & naughty, but Drake loves it. Drake’s character was so lovable, one of the most lovable FMCs I’ve read in a while, & I loved how fierce & determined she was in life. I just loved this book so much.

This is another phenomenal book from Marni Mann!! I absolutely love Marni Mann writing!! This book was a wonderful start to this series! The spice was so spicy! I can’t wait for more books in this series
