I loved how this book started off quick and kept me on my toes. The heroine leaving without a word was not what I expected with the lead up to it. I love the second chance concept and fate brought them to the same company. The spice was great. My one drawback that really had me off was that they barely knew each other from the one encounter. I know they had masks on for the party but I don’t know how covered up they were that they didn’t recognize each other. It bothered me and left me feeling disconnected to the story.

This is a steamy, second chance, workplace romance! The beginning was easy to get into and I loved the concept of the dating app, and the messages. I’m a sucker for a second chance romance, and could definitely feel the chemistry between Easton & Drake here and enjoyed that! I did feel that the pacing was a bit off in the second half, but overall this was a good read!

This book was amazing! Being a high match on a dating app is unheard of but after seeing these two's chemistry, I could definitely see how it was possible! They hit it off so well, even without really knowing each other and that's hard to come by. It's definitely one of those when you know, you know moments! Chemistry, banter, spice all of it was on point. I loved that he had no idea who she really was until after she started working for his company. I think it made the attraction to each other that much sweeter. All around a great read!

Easton is one of the founders of Hooked, a new dating app. Drake’s friend makes a profile for her to have some no strings attached fun. What happens when you have a 100% match and a connection like no other.
But when life gets in the way, and those special feelings don’t die but stay inside your heart, and your worlds collide again you take a chance.
I loved their connection and pull towards one another. You could feel the sprinkles that Marni Mann was leaving the reader.
And in true Mann fashion there is some angst thrown in.
Mr. Hook-Up is one of those books you can’t put down. A definite must read!

This is book one in The Hooked series and it is Easton and Drake’s story and omg what a great start to a new series and definitely a must read. Easton and his two best friends designed a app for hooking up , when Easton decides to create his own profile he gets a 100% match by a woman called Love and when they start to chat and then meet to hook up they both wear masks so that there identity is not revealed but the attraction, chemistry and connection between them is so off the charts that sparks fly and they feel like they have known each other for a long time and just when Easton start to have feelings for her she suddenly disappears and deletes her app leaving Easton hurt, bewildered and confused. Now five years later and the hooked app is the most popular one in the country and even though Easton is pleased with its success he still feels like something is missing from his life. When Easton get a new recruit named Drake once again the attraction, chemistry and connection is so strong and intense that sparks fly all around them and he wants to see where it can lead but just when things are starting to hot up between them Love appears back on the app wanting to explain what had happened but all this does is confuse him even more and he now realised that he is at a crossroads and knows that if he takes the wrong one he could make the biggest mistake of his life and lose everything. Wow this is only the first book in this series and I am already Hooked and I couldn’t put it down as it was a real page turner and so addictive but also had a bit of mystery along with a whole lot of spice and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Let me preface this by saying this was my first Marni Mann book. While the synopsis of 'Mr. Hook-up' seemed right up my alley, something about this story just wasn't for me. By no means is this review a reflection of Mann's writing - I really enjoyed her style of writing and more specifically, I LOVED the fluidity! This book may not have been my favorite, in terms of plot, but I will 100% be reading more from this author.

Easton and his two best friends created an app called “Hooked” their senior year of college. Easton matched with someone right off the bat with 100% match. They have a text/call relationship until they finally meet at a masquerade ball. The attraction just rolls off the pages.

Something happens, five years go by.

Easton gets a surprise of a lifetime. The characters are great. I couldn’t put this book down. Can’t wait to read their stories. Thank you NetGalley, Valentine PR.

This book was wonderful. It stayed in the undergrad/graduate section longer than I expected but UT was necessary for the storyline (and Marni Mann has never steered me wrong).
I read this story quickly and it was spicy. Lots of spice is always promised by Mann, so I'm glad to report that this series is going to be just as hot as her others.
Small nods to her past series were 10/10 appropriate and perfect. This book is a must read and I can't wait for more in the series.

This was a fun, steamy read! Tropes include second chance romance, billionaire boyfriend, and there was no third act break up, which is my favorite!! Drake and Easton were well developed and likable. I enjoyed some of the "girl power" aspects of the story without there being too much of it. Drake was relatable, and I can't want to see if there will be more to this story!

3.5 stars rounded up! I liked it!

Hot in a cerebral way...

When grad student Easton gets a 100% match on the hook up app he created with his two buddies to hook up, he's immediately Hooked. He is a one night stand guy and built his future on not wining and dining, but instead getting P. But he's all in for Love, his match on Hooked. Love is complicated, finishing her under grad and needing to just hook up, understand men and test her boundaries. They have smart and foxy texts and a hot fifteen minute hook up.

Fast forward some years and Easton and Hooked;s newest employee is Drake. Easton is all in. and Love is back. It doesn't take long for him to figure stuff out. Smoking hot foxy times ensure with a slow, long build to love and a future with Drake. They are more mature, definitely a sexual match for each other but also an emotional match as well.
Nice job of mixing the hook ups with emotion and brains.
Recommend.

This was a good read.

Easton and his friends founded a new app called Hooked and when he finds his perfect match with 100% compatibility he thinks there is a mistake. Until he gets to know his mysterious match. However, things end suddenly. Five years pass by and the woman he never thought he would hear from again is back.
Easton and Drake have a strong connection, a connection that neither of them can really deny. Their chemistry is off the charts from the start and the more time they spend together and the more time they truly get to know each other its evident at how perfect they are for each other.
I love Drake. She’s a BA, hardworking woman in the tech field and she can handle her own like its no ones business. She’s worked hard to get where she is in her career and I love that she isn’t going to let anyone stop her. I love Easton, I love that his is an alpha, but he also is sweet and will do anything for people he cares about, especially Drake.

This app ended up finding Easton a 100% match. They meet and Easton feels a connection. They hook up but then Drake deletes her account and change her number. Now 5 years or so later she ends up working for him. This starts their second chance at love.

Mr Hook Up was fast paced and easy to sink into. It's the story of a hook up app and it's creators. When one of the three best friends who build the app gets a 100% match, he needs to know this girl. She is everything he didn't know he wanted and more. But when she ghosts him before they get to meet IRL, he is heart broken. Fast forward 5 years and things start up again.

The premise was so good. I loved this idea, but ended up feeling like something was missing. I wanted this to have the page turning feelings of investment in their relationship that I expected. The steam was good, but the depth that makes us love these longing filled books just wasn't there. Even the conflict at the end seemed to be a little too rushed and easy to clean up.

I really loved this story! It’s steamy, it’s angsty, it’s happy! All the things I love in a romance! Marni is a fantastic writer- I’ve been working on her backlist of books and loved all the Dalton books! Can’t wait to see more from this series- wonder if Holden or Grayson will be next!
