Book #1 in the Hooked series by Marni Mann, Mr Hook-Up is a contemporary romance that can be read as a standalone. If you are a reader who enjoys a bit of smut, some dirty talk, office romance, forced proximity and a sexy billionaire, then you definitely need to check out this book.
In this story the main characters are Easton and Drake (Love). Easton and his two college friends have created an online dating app called Hooked. Easton has a 100% match up with someone called Love and these two have some heated texts exchanged between them. Their chemistry was undeniable and after a while they give into their urge to meet up but at a masked ball where they can hold onto some of their anonymity. After a night of passion, Love goes incognito and disappears.
5 years later she ends up working for Hooked and guess who her new boss is. There are some familiar traits that these two have but are they able to put two and two together and figure out who the other is and the bond that they once had? Will they both get their HEA?
Mr Hook-Up was a fantastic introduction into the Hooked series. Marni did an amazing job with the storyline and introducing us to the other characters who will be a part of the series. I also loved how she brought characters in from her other books. Now bring on the next two books as I need the stories of Easton's business partners.

This was my first Marni Mann title. While I see the reasons that other people adore these books, and I did enjoy this one, overall I don't think that I'll continue with the series. I set this book down for three months accidentally and forgot that it existed. When I did pick it back up, it was a fun read. But, I was able to walk away and not feel inclined to pick it back up.

The blurb for this book was great and what pulled me in. I enjoyed the spice but felt it was a little too instant love for my liking but did enjoy the story overall.

I look forward to reading Mr. Wicked next.

I really enjoyed this book! I flew threw this and this is my second book by this author. It was spicy which was great! Though at the end I felt like it could've been shorter. That camping trip kinda seemed outta nowhere lol but other than that I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Marni Mann has an incredible writing style that captivates you from the start. Mr Hook-Up was a clever and unique Office Romance that had a modern You’ve Got Mail vibe, with incredible chemistry, steam and sweetness. A phenomenal start to the new Hooked series, I’m looking forward to reading both Grayson and Holden’s stories!

Mr. Hook Up is a beautiful start to to wonderful series. It's Easton and Drake story and it's going to win all readers hearts.
I Loved Easton. He is such a sweet, loving and caring alpha male who falls hard for Drake.
I Really enjoyed the story and Cannot wait to read his two Best friends stories next.

This wasn't the book for me. The insta love felt so unrealistic, and sometimes cringy with second hand embarrassment. This isn’t my first book by this author and I will continue to read her books this one just wasn’t it for me.

I absolutely loved this new release of Marni's. The concept behind a app designated for hooking up that leads two people into a such a good romance plot.

I can't wait for more in this series.

Finding love and the one who completes you will make all those hookups a thing of the past. Such a great story that will fall in love with Marni’s stories.

Easton and his best friends create an app designed to make it easy to hook-up. What he doesn't expect is to get a 100% match with Love.

Part one of this book is told completely from Eastons POV, and we see how he falls for Love through the app.

Nearly six years later, part two gives us the reconnection between Easton and Love, and this is told in both POV's, so we get to her side of the story and why she disappeared.

I'm an absolute sucker for anonymous messages, so I knew I was going to absolutely devour this book, and I wasn't wrong.

I really liked that we only gor Easton's story at first as it added to the mystery of who love is.

I love Marni's writing.
The spice is so good, and the chemistry between the characters is fantastic.

I can't wait to read more from this series.
His best friends totally deserve to find their HEA's too, especially Holden

I really enjoyed the story of Drake and Easton!

From the start, their relationship was so fun. I loved seeing how they instantly clicked with each other and was excited to see where it was going to go. Then suddenly Drake needed to leave town with no explanation and cut Easton off without much. They expect to never see each other again, but years later Drake ends up applying for the company that Easton owns without knowing that he was one of the owners. The one time they met in person was a masquerade ball, so they have no clue that they are directly working with the only person they felt such a deep connection with years ago.

I was rooting for Drake and Easton the whole time! You could really see how much they connected and how they were able to be themselves when they were together. I loved watching their story develop and they fall for each other all over again. Easton was such a gentleman even when Drake wasn't sure what she wanted.

In the end, it all works out and it was so worth it! I can't wait to see the stories of Easton's two business partners in the next books.

A good story that begins with a group of college friends who come up with a dating app, working through everything they are finally putting it out there for a test when Easton gets a 100% match with a person who goes by the name Love. they have a good connection and Easton is hooked with this person, then one day gone nothing no more Love nothing. Five years later the dating app is number one everything seems to be going well except for one person who had helped them get started left then out of the blue Love pops back up and wants to explain to Easton why she disconnected years ago. A truly interesting story with many different emotions and at times some funny moments. A very good book with good characters. And very much worth the read.

UM HELLO THIS WAS SO GOOD! this was my first marni mann book and it did not disappoint! if you’re looking for a good plot and some fantastic spice this is the book for you!!!! also the way it had no third act breakup was just amazing

Once you reach the second part, dual POV kicks right in giving full access to the headstrong FMC, Drake. That's when everything clicks into place and you'll fall in love with Easton, EVEN MORE!
The cover & the title, really give away the main theme of the story, so I don't want to give any spoilers to those who want to read! It's well worth it and I definitely recommend it!

The odds of Drake and Easton’s match was insane, but the chemistry and heat made it all make sense.

Their instant connection was undeniable, it was obvious that they were perfect for each other without even meeting! But their first meet up, wow! It was off the charts in the spice level!

Then something happens and there is a time jump…! It was shocking and a little heartbreaking for them both.

They may have not known their connection to each other, but the rules between employer and employee, it was a little funny all things considering the obvious!

It was so beautiful that they could both can feel their connection when they meet again, without realising it. I guess the heat between them was too hot to contain! Especially how Easton felt about present and past Drake!

Once the identities were revealed, they’ll literally ran to each other for the hottest smexy times!

The forbidden aspects of being boss x employee lead to some really close calls in the office, but it was so steamy!!

Obviously, the happiness and smexy times had to end with the third act drama! It was so heartbreaking, but Easton persevered and saved the day! His determination was admirable.

Their happy ending was so beautiful.

I can’t wait for Grayson and Holden’s stories! I can already tell they’re gonna be fantastic!!!
