I’ve never wanted a fictional couple to stay together as much as these two.
The fact I can’t even give the characters’ names in my review should tell you how twisted the plot gets. 😅
Just go check out this second chance, boss/employee romance with hilarious Main characters.

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...
Ever since reading When Ashes Fall, I've developed some sort of book ₱T$D for every book that Marni releases... it one was such a memorable read that it still haunts me to this day.
Fast forward to Mr. Hook-Up... I don't know why but I kept on waiting for the other shoe to drop. For real... haha
But seriously speaking, it's lighter than I've anticipated... very riveting, very swoon-worthy. It's something that would leave you inspired and happy.
I recommend this book!

I enjoyed this first book in the new series. I think this book encompasses some big ideas that resonate in our current society, such as online dating, finding that special connection, and focusing on yourself and your career. But it does also address how sometimes love is about finding the right person at the right time. Drake and Easton met through an online dating app, but after one encounter together, they go their separate ways. When they do come back together, time has passed, and they’ve both had the opportunity to grow and mature. I really like how sweet Easton is, and his totally all in attitude. He knows Drake’s had a tough few years, but his willing to work for their relationship. Looking forward to the other books in the series!

Easton and his friends make a dating app in college and on the first day he gets matched with Drake, they have an instant connection and great banter so they "meet" up in a unique way and at the end of the night they don't exchange names and they lose contact for some years. Reconnecting they meet again when she is the new hire at the company. I really enjoyed the plot twist on how they figured out who one another was.

Easton, Easton.....my favorite to date!! My heart was hurting, but Marni put everything together beautifully. The steam...🔥🔥🔥!!! It's definitely a instalove/insta connection, but I'd say, they're soulmates. The right person at the wrong time.
Easton and Drake met on the Hook app, and they were a perfect match. They decided to hook up the night the app have a masquerade party. With the mask on, they never knew how each other looks like and have no idea what their real names were. After so many tries of seeing if they'll be able to hang out again, the timing was just never right. 5 Years later, Drake got hired for the Hook app, and she didn't know that Easton was one of the creator of it. What's going to happen now since they are boss and employee now? Will they know who each other are?
I totally love Easton and Drake. The way Easton loves Drake had me swooning so much. I'm already obsessed with this world that Marni created. I can't wait for more.
If you love a steamy billionaire romance, you need this book.

Mr Hook-Up was my first read by Marni Mann, and I have to say I absolutely enjoyed the book and will continue to read the rest of the books in the series!
The story line was a unique one, and I loved how the author has brought dating around to current times to something we can totally relate to in present day. It had plenty of heat, and the connection between Easton and Drake was undeniable from the get go. I loved when they reconnected and how they came to figure things about between them. Well done!

We start getting to know Easton, using his app to 100% match and meet up (with masks) and hook up with someone. They keep tough here and there but it fades, until years later and they have no clue they are each other in their lives.
A whole new look at a social media/workplace romance. With NO 3rd act break up, written by Marni Mann - yes please!
There’s a lot built around Easton and his friends to set up the series well and have us expecting the best yet to come. I always know with diving into a Marni book that I’m going to get a fun and spicy romance that is going to be playful and have me turning the page for more.

Marni Mann is back with another powerful alpha hero and the heroines that knock them off their feet. Easton Jones creates an app with his friends in college that changes his life more than he expected. He meets a stranger on said app that flips his world upside down and changes his way of viewing relationships, all without even knowing her name. When she suddenly ghosts him, he feels lost.
Five years later, he has found himself again- this time as a hotshot CEO. His newest employee, Drake Madden, has had his attention from the very beginning and although it’s forbidden, their connection feels extremely special and maybe like fate. The only problem? His college app romance has just come back into his life.
Drake was such a fun character to read. I loved her independence and dedication to her career. She is very driven and has worked hard to earn her accomplishments. She fears her reputation may be at risk if she pursues her attraction to her new boss, but she knows immediately after seeing him she has to explore their connection. Drake knows this is her chance to create a future with Easton, but isn’t sure how he will handle her past.
Marni knows how to write a steamy, powerful romance story between two headstrong characters. Both Easton and Drake have driven personalities that make them feel larger than life. I love how they support each other and balance the other out. Their dynamic is fun to see and I liked seeing their trust/relationship develop.

I don’t know how Marni does it but my goodness Easton is something else 😍 the story between Easton and Drake is one that will stay with me for a long time… to find someone who you were meant to be with and how relationships can go through so much even when they are perfect. I absolutely loved this book!
Fav Quote: “Some men were fortunate enough to find a partner. Some found their best friend. I found both, a talented, stunning woman who was everything I wanted.”

Have you checked out this total Five Star Steamy Read by USA Bestseller Marni Mann yet? I was thrilled to be part of this release as an advanced reader and share my thoughts with you here. I can't tell you how much fun this was to read. Using the app text in the book to mirror how these two connect with the unheard of 100% compatibility match, our two lovers meet looking just for a Hook Up, but the numbers just don't lie and these two hit off a romance that goes from 0 to 60 in literally three text messages. But there is more than meets the eye and the woman is looking to escape heartache and the man is looking for just a fling to get him through the day. But the numbers for these two don't lie and quickly SaaraLove brings out a softer side of MrBoston and, much to the ribbing and delight of his friends, he starts thinking that she could be His One. But fate intervenes and one day she disappears and so ends the flirty, sexy texts and fun filled banter leaving Easton aka Easton lost and yearning to recapture that connection. So what happens when, years later, he meets an applicant for his company's directorship that gives him all these feels? He begins to investigate it and when Drake, aka SaarasLove, believes this is her Mr. Boston? Well that's where everything takes a turn and it's not only elevators that tumblining on their cables.
If you like your books HOT and SEXY and banter filled, not just between the MMC and the FMC but with the secondary characters as well check this one out. If you like a second chance romance that has a good mystery to it, don't miss this book. And, if you want to believe that there is a guy out there who can truly see you, who will rally to you on your darkest day, who will stand right by you when the going is tough. Then you just find your next book boyfriend right here... or maybe one of his friends will be that one for you! When is book two? Don't care, I'll be here because in a phrase, these books did HOOK ME!

This review is my personal opinion and has no bearing on the author’s writing.
I had wanted to read a book by this author for so long and my first foray into her world was disappointing. I couldn’t get into the story
I had trouble connecting with the plot. The book started off boring. There was no connection between the characters other than via an app.
They communicated mostly via text (which isn’t unusual), catch feelings and then the book fast forwards.
The second part of the book tried but its redeeming qualities were far and in between. The climactic event was totally unnecessary and the events after its resolution were simply not needed.
I felt the book lacked that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you are reading a good romance.
The book would have benefited from being a bit shorter than it is. I received an advanced copy of this book and the review is mine and voluntary.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Easton Jones and his two best friends have created a new type of app. I wouldn't call it a dating app but more like a one night stand app. Unique for sure. However, you can't create something and then not try it out to make sure it works right. So Easton creates a Hooked profile and on the first try gets a one hundred percent perfect match. His perfect match is Love and they have some off the charts chemistry. Just as he is beginning to have the feels she disconnects from the app and disappears. Now five years have passed and Hooked in the number one dating app in the country and he has jsut hired a smoking hot new recruit Drake. Easton hasn't felt desire like this in five years. They are super compatible and smoking hot and just work both professionally and personally. What he never expects to happen is for Love to show back up wanting a chance to explain what happened. This really messes with Easton as he has the perfect girl for him in the flesh but Love captured his heart all those years ago and his the ultimate fantasy. What's a guy to do? You have to read to find that out. I really fell so hard for Easton. He is just pure perfection in every sense of the word. He is certainly all alpha but has the sweet, caring side to him that you just can't help to fall for. Drake, while i really ended up like her is one of those characters that have a story to reveal layer by layer and I really loved uncovering the story of her. This was a really great book that I loved every single second of.

Easton and some friends from college created an app for “hooking” up. You match with someone for a one night stand and then go your separate ways. No names are given to help keep one’s identity a secret.
When he meets his hook up he matched with their connection is instant. He wasn’t expecting to want it to be more. With no way of finding her because he doesn’t know her real name.
Years later she up and appears and things get interesting. Will these two still have that instant connection?
Looking forward to the next book!

***4 estrelas***

Another good book by Marni Mann. The first book in a new series about 3 friends who develop a hook up app. Easton matches 100% with another app user and the talk through the app and finally get together. She ghosts him and leaves him devastated. Five years later they meet again and have a immediate attraction. It follows them as they navigate their romance and all the roadblocks in their way.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is a very good book, excellent story and characters.
They are well fleshed and interesting.
The story is pretty angsty, which I like, and it flow’s wonderfully.
I would definitely be persuaded to read more from the author at a later date.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Mr. Hook-up is the first book in Marni's new Hooked series. The series revolves around three friends: Easton, Holden and Grayson who founded a hook-up app together called Hooked, and its Easton and Drake's story.
I have read, and enjoyed, books by Mann in the past especially Dalton Brothers series and this book is right up there along with them. I loved how fast paced this book was. A classic second chance close proximity office romance and great lovable characters.
Thanks to Marni Mann, Valentine PR and NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Mr. Hook-Up by Marni Mann
This is the first book in the Hooked series by Marni Mann
This book opens with a young Easton trying to get a new dating app off and running. He matches with a mysterious woman and sparks fly. They lose touch with each other and randomly meet up in a most unlikely way.
I really enjoyed this one by Marni! She brought the steam and angst with this one. I loved where she took the plot in this book and she did an excellent job setting up the rest of the series. I also loved reading this and seeing characters from the Dalton family series!
Tropes: second chance, hidden identity, workplace romance
Favorite quotes:
“I was all about you, Drake. You were the one I wanted. The one I was going to change for.”
“Obsessed with your needs. That’s a better description.”
“he wouldn’t let me fall unless it was toward him, and then his arms would be there to catch me.”
“When it came to my body, Easton Jones owned every bit of my pleasure.”
Highly recommend this book if you love Marni Mann’s books and love the steam and drama in a good romance book!

A serious question, does Marni know what a slow burn is? If she doesn't....no one tell her 🤣 iykyk
Marni absolutely delivered, introducing us to the men of Hooked, a dating app created by three friends -Easton, Holden and Grayson. Easton never expected to have a 100% match one month into launching Hooked...but Love is everything he never knew he needed...and he's willing to change for her. But timing isn't on their side. Fast forward five years later and Hooked has become one of the most successful hook-up apps as well as dating apps, so much so that they will be rolling out to the international market and they need someone to help...enter Drake Madden. She's perfect for the job...and there is something about her that seems so familiar.
Drake is happy to be back in Boston...it's been too long and she finally feels like she is home. Getting the job at Hooked was exactly what she needed...what she didn't expect was Easton Jones...one of the founding partners...his eyes, his lips, his scent...it all seems so familiar.
And when these two figure it out... fireworks🎆
I love how Marni can take these powerful men and introduce us to the women who can bring them to their knees. Oh you're a playboy and absolutely don't want to settle down, or believe in love, she says hold my beer, I'll show you.
Read it, love it and get ready for the next masterpiece from Marni 💛

Easton is a successful tech entrepreneur. He and his best friends have been chasing their dreams for years but none of them have found the one. Drake has had a successful career as a coder and now wants to move back to Boston instead of living in California. She is excited to get a job at Hooked as the director of app development. Little did they know that they actually met years ago and Hooked Up. The chemistry is still there but can they find lasting love, or will it just end up being another hook up?
Easton is known as Mr. Hook-up because he has hooked up with so many women. He has thought about the one that got away years ago, but he hasn't tried to chase her down (he seriously knows almost nothing about her to even start a chase). What I will say about Easton is that his character doesn't really change during the course of the story. He starts out as a hook up artist and continues as a hook up artist. He is also a good and decent guy who is honest and forthright. He stays that way throughout the story. He is also a guy that stays once he is committed to something. The author laid out Easton pretty early on in the story and did not deviate. One of my notes calls him a unicorn because he is that unbelievable. Drake is a different story in my opinion. I understand that the reader is supposed to understand that she was young and grieving the loss of her mother the first time she met Easton but I thought that was pretty weak reasoning for how she treated him. In fact, at one point I made a note calling her a less than polite word. Generally, that would be enough to turn me off from the story but I thought the writing, pacing, order of events, the bad guy, etc. were all pretty good. I think the rest of the series might be pretty interesting to read because the author introduced some interesting side characters and situations.
What I didn't like about the story is the starting point. I really don't like the glorification of hook up culture. I knew that was a big part of this story so that's on me to reconcile my feelings. However, Easton has a VIP medal on the website because of how many women he has hooked over the years. That's just gross.
This is a contemporary romance set mostly in Boston but there are a couple of other settings. The story starts when the characters are still in college but quickly moves ahead in time to them being adults with important and demanding careers. I plan to read the rest of the series because I'm interested in what happens next. I would give this a solid 3.5 stars if I could but I'm going to give it a 4 star rating because I don't think it deserves 3 stars.
