This YA book was a great read that raced through and kept you guessing on its development arc…. I’m still reeling at such a cliffhanger ending, without any real closure there must be a book 2 coming our way and I can’t wait!
Rosalyn is our young thief from a cutthroat infamous family of thieves and her whole life has been about the business until she decides it’s time for change but is it?
Kind of a young persons oceans 11 challenge crossed with The inheritance games series

Thank you Netgalley for gifting me a copy of this book.
I didn't have a lot of expectations going into this book and I was pleasantly surprised! This book was very easy to get into and I felt like it was something new. Yes, it made me think of other books like Portrait of a Thief, but I couldn't predict what was going to happen, which is a very good thing.
I loved following Ross, her growth throughout this book, and the relationships she made along the way. I did NOT expect the end and would love to have another book because I want to know more!!!
Would definitely recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for the advance reader copy.
I was very intrigued by the premise of this story and am glad to say it delivered.
We follow Ross a young woman who is in a thief family and is trying to go live her life. On the way, there are some hijinks from the get go and she has to enter a competition to win a wish.
This is all in the first quarter of the book. It only gets better from there.
The book is full of schemes, plots, and of course things being stolen.
Overall a great book and I imagine a great start to a series.
Wow this was a rollercoaster!!
We follow a girl called Rosalyn who is a thief with her mother, she wants more from life but is trapped in her mums shadow.
She finds out she’s been entered into the worlds biggest thieving competition and we follow her journey through this competition.
It was amazing to read how the other competitors had different talents and strengths and whether they would trust one another or use each other just to get through the task at hand.
The twists and turns were brilliant and I really hope there will be a second book!
I have never read anything with this plot idea before, I loved how unique it was.
Oh my god, what a ride! I dont think my eyes have ever flown across the pages of a book so fast before, my eyes have got whiplash! I was that on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t stop reading. Especially towards the end of the book, I don’t think I could have put it down if world war three started outside my window.
Everything about this book was just geared towards capturing my attention and making sure it was kept there. On each phase of the Gambit, I was enraptured and eager to find out how it was going to play. The whole set up of the plot was just amazing and I can’t remember the last time I was that feverishly obsessed with a book and not being able to peg what was going to happen.
Sometimes you get a faint inkling about how things will end, but nope. Not with this one! I was completely bowled over by the twists and turns and like I said, I seriously couldn’t read it fast enough. It was entertainment personified from start to finish and I was so sad to finish it (but also relieved because I would not settle and resume life until the end of the book had been consumed). Safe to say I will very eagerly be awaiting the follow up for this one as gah, that ending! Wow and wow again.
Ross is from a family of thieves, and it's all she's ever known. When a heist goes wrong and her mother is in trouble, she is forced to join the Thieves' Gambit, a competition where the prize is a wish, and to get there she must lie, cheat and steal ...
Such a good book! Heist after heist and twist after twist (some I saw coming, plenty I did not!) it kept me guessing right from the off. Really enjoyed it, and am eagerly anticipating the sequel - you can't just leave it there?

This book was INSANELY good! I don’t know what i expected but it surpassed all my expectations. I ADORED it! The main character has my heart, and I think the relationships with the side characters developed beautifully. It was filled with heartwarming moments and heart pounding thrills, as-well as being soooo fast-paced and very quick and easy to read. I got hooked instantly, and read it in less than a day! On top of all that, the twists, turns and betrayals were the cherry on the cake, and are what pushed this book into the 5 star rating. This book is a must read, and I would 100% recommend picking this up when it’s released!
