As a therapist, i have helped those with burnout and been affected by it myself. I have read a lot of books on a variety of mental health topics and approaches. What sets this book apart is its no-nonsense approach to tackling stress. Sampson cuts through the fluff and delivers straightforward strategies that are easy to implement and highly effective. From mindfulness techniques to cognitive-behavioural strategies, the book covers a wide range of methods designed to help readers recognize stress triggers and manage anxiety in healthy ways. It is also one of the best psycho-educational resources on stress that I have seen. understanding stress and how it works goes along way to managing it.

One of the book's strengths is its emphasis on empowerment. Sampson encourages readers to take an active role in managing their stress, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to regain control over their lives. This empowering approach is both refreshing and inspiring, reminding readers that they have the power to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

Overall, "STRESSED OUT" is a valuable resource for anyone looking to gain control over their stress and anxiety. While it may not have all the answers, it provides a solid foundation for building resilience and finding peace in the midst of life's challenges. Highly recommended.

Stressed Out - Max Sampson

A good fluff free read, that gets straight to the points that we all need. Max Sampson talks a lot of common sense that I think we all need to learn to apply to our everyday lives, and through his book this would make it easier to implement. This book could not have come at a better time, as anxiety seems to creep up on you when you least expect it. Very good! I like how the author articulated concepts and how everything was explained in simple terms to grasp the concepts.

This was great!
Max Sampson talks a lot of sense. There were some 'common sense' stuff there (it's always good to me reminded, eh?) but there was a lot of other useful info too.
I like the way Sampson included some humour - but not too much that it undermined the whole theme of the book.
I think this book will take multiple readings/listens before the info 'goes-in my brain' as I'm stuck in some pretty bad habits, but really helpful and not at all dense or overwhelming!

This book is a fantastic resource for anyone who has anxiety or stress. As a grandparent raising 3 grandchildren ages 12, 10 and 3 I see that my patience is not as good as it used to be. This book has shone me ways to help lessen the stress and everyone is better for it. I am also using some of the tips and tricks with the grandchildren to help them throughout their school days. I was fortunate to get a copy of this book through Netgalley.

This is a timely book, as most people I know have been dealing with extra stress the past few years. This book outlines what stress is, its impacts, and steps to help combat it. The author shares his personal story, which makes it even more relatable. Numerous strategies are included, and they're easy to implement. (And I really enjoyed his two acronyms to help remember things.) This is a quick read that gets right to the point. This book could be useful to anyone struggling with anxiety.
