I enjoyed this book very much. It is very much Swan's style of writing and I know if history repeats, itself there will be at least two more book about other characters in here. I am so there for it. She takes you on a roller coaster of emotions so you can feel all the feels. I laughed at some parts because this author can be hilarious. I cried at some parts because again, this author can make you do that. Henley definitely is working through some things and Juliet is so patient that my goal is to try and be more like her. Another great story from Swan! Is and will always be one of my auto buy authors.
I am so obsessed with all t l swan’s books and this one is no different. I ate this up. I absolutely fell in love with all the characters and I can’t wait for the rest of the series. Literally the on thing rough about the ARCs is now I want it now! The characters grow so much from beginning to end, and let’s me honest. T l swan always has the best twists to her books!
My Temptation by T. L Swan is the first in her newest series- Kingston Lane.
Henley James is hot.. hotter than hot. He’s gorgeous, he’s suave, he’s charming.. He’s got his sights set on Juliette. She’s sunshine and margaritas. She’s sassy with a sweet side and these two together brought all the feels.
This book was.. chaos. Pure, sexy chaos.. In the best ways. It felt like Tee was like “I wanna write all the tropes in one book,” and she delivered. I can’t tell you how many times I thought I was getting close to the book being done, only to be delightfully surprised there was still a long ways to go! Nothing ever seemed to go the way I thought it would go and I loved every moment, even when it was driving me insane.
I laughed. I got teary eyed. I fell in love and got angry and fell in love again. Tee always brings the spice, the angst and the HEA and is one of my go to comfort authors for a read. I’m super excited to see who on Kingston Lane gets a book next and how their story plays out!
5🌟 2.5🌶️
I absolutely adored this! As I do with every TL Swan story. 🥰
I loved how different this was from anything that’s been written before. And I was not expecting Henley to have as much depth as he did. He was such an intriguing character. You were given just enough about him to keep you going, never being able to see the full picture of Henley until the end. I loved that! It was like putting a puzzle together.
I also really enjoyed Juliette. She was strong-willed and really just did not put up with Henley’s crap. She dished it right back! But she also took the time to get to know Henley and see things from a different perspective, his perspective. I loved that about her. She always took a step back and really thought things through. She was definitely not a meek fmc!
The chemistry between these two was explosive! Like atom 💣 explosive!! They literally could not keep their hands off of each other.
Also, throughout more than several moments of the book, I found myself cackling. Like having to take a second because I was laughing too hard. I love that TL throws humor into her stories!
The side characters were all great and intriguing, and I’m excited to see them all get their own HEA.
Henley and Juliette’s HEA was hard earned, and I adored the ending!
I can’t wait for the next installment in the Kingston Lane series, and it will definitely be interesting to see whose story we see next!
MY TEMPTATION - T.L SWAN ✨️
ARC Review - Releases 29th August.
Everyone knows by now Tee is one of my favourite authors & Mr Masters was the book that got me back into reading and into this craziness, so whatever she writes, I'll read it. This book was like going home. I take such comfort in her writing style and love how now having met her can see her personal humour shining throughout. Some bits (mainly Henley & Barry's interactions and inner monologues) had me howling 😂😂.
Juliet & Henley after having the perfect date three years ago become neighbours, problem being that perfect date doesn't end too well.. so when Juliet moves in the animosity in this close-knit lane runs high.
Juliet is determined & driven. She knows what she wants and is sure Henley is the one. She's known it all along & it's very much an insta-lust/love situation. Henley, not so much. Whilst I didn't LOVE either of these characters as much as previous Tee books & in my opinion this one is quite a different vibe to her previous stories I enjoyed it all the same and already can't wait to go back to Kingston Lane as the supporting characters personalities all shone through. Did I want more from these two characters once she'd made them work for their HEA? Absolutely, so I'm praying we see a lot more of them in future Kingston Lane stories! I need some more Dr Blake Greyson please 😏🤌🏻
Thank you @tlswanauthor & the team for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. We all know my love for Tee so I was beyond excited to get my hands on this early!
This book screams classic TL Swan in the best way, I laughed and fell in love. Not only did I love Henley and Juliet but I loved their neighborhood and all their friends. I can’t wait for the rest of the series so we get to see more of everybody.
Henley is a bit of an asshole, it was almost hard to love him at some points! But you know he’s hurting so it makes sense that he doesn’t know how to cope. He goes through a lot of growing and Juliet was so patient and loving with him. Juliet is an independent queen, who gives Henley a run for his money (as she should) but also has such a sweet soul. If you were a fan of The Stopover I think you’ll absolutely love Henley and Juliet.
I didn’t realize how much I needed to read this until I finished it! What a great book!
Loved the story of Henley and Juliet- I stayed up waaaaayyyyyy too late because I just couldn’t put this book down. I laughed out loud at parts, teared up at parts and loved every page. The chemistry between the couple was 👌, the spice was 🌶️🌶️🌶️, and now the book hangover begins!
My only small complaint is that the fmc is way too much when she's in love. I found myself shaking my head at her OTT comments/thoughts.
All in all, I loved this book and can’t wait to see how the rest of the series goes!!
My beautiful, tortured king, so messed up. So, fucking lovable. An ocean of vulnerability swimming between us.”

This is a classic TL Swan book. She cooks up the perfect amount of spice, witty humor, heartfelt moments, and margaritas. Then she throws in her classic flavor of feisty FMC and rich alfahole. This story will leave you laughing, crying, and wiggling in your seat. The chemistry was just so perfect.
Henley James is a walking red flag. The vibe he gives is a combination of Stanton, Masters, and Miles High. The more you get to know him, the more you start to understand him and his brokenness. He can be charming, annoying, loving, sexy, and hot af. Juliet Drinkwater is strong, feisty, beautiful, humble, and hilarious. I love the way she handles Henley. Her shenanigans will give you LOL moments. Juliet in combination with Henley and his friends who all live in the same cul de sac are going to make great books for this series.
When I was accepted to receive this ARC I was ecstatic . TL Swan is one of my favorite authors. Her book the Stopover was one of my first spicy romance reads. I have been hooked ever since. Her writing style is mesmerizing and emotionally captivating.
Tropes: Grumpy/Sunshine, Forced Proximity, Second Chance, Alfahole, Trauma/Loss, Feisty FMC, Great Side Characters .
TL you rocked this book. 🫶🏼🤌🏼. Thank TL Swan and NetGalley for the ARC.
I loved Henley and Juliet's story! The love hate relationship that these two had was amazing. The push and pull, the angst, the banter was /chefs kiss 🤌. I laughed, cried, and wholeheartedly enjoyed all of the characters in this book. The lengths that these two went through to try and fight what was inevitable was hilarious. There were also some bumps in the road that hit hard and endeared you to them that much more. I can't wait to visit the residents of Kingston Lane and see what shenanigans they get up to in the next book of this series!
If you love enemies to lovers, lots of laughs, amazing side characters, and an incredible love story with heat, then you don't want to miss out on this exceptional book.
Henley and Juliet. Wow such a beautiful story. I know some will disagree about Henley, as he is intense, but my heart bled for him from the beginning. Henley is the alpha male, always in control, and you just feel he’s hiding apart of himself. Therefore, it will take a lot for him to fall, and when he does, he will fall hard.
Juliet is the beautiful soul and the light that someone like Henley needs…and deserves. The ups, the downs, the heartache, the growth, the love..all of it was beautiful. I cannot wait to see if we get the story of the friends later on. Great read. Highly recommend!
T L Swan does it again! Each time I finish one of her books, I think that couple is my favorite until I read the next one. I love how relatable Juliet and Henley are. Juliet is a smart, capable woman who loves taking care of others and doesn't need a man to take care of her. But there's nothing wrong with wanting him too, right? I also really enjoyed the bromance between the "boys" and the true girl friendships between the woman. I can't wait to read the rest of the Kingston Lane series!
💗 ARC Review 💗
Five out of five stars!!
I can't say enough good things about this book! That and I really want to live on Juliet's street!!
Juliet's Drinkwater and Henley James have an amazing first date full of margaritas, great conversation and are even better between she sheets- with completely off the charts chemistry, but then he ghosted her. Years later Juliet buys her dream renovation home, totally unaware that Henley James lives next door.
Juliet is convinced Henley is a complete jerk, but he's never quite gotten over the one night they spent together. He's convinced she's some sort of she devil that has changed his DNA and vows to never hook up with her again.
You see, Henley has some baggage that cause him to run hot and cold so much that I'm surprised Juliet didn't get whiplash. The arguments between the two, their internal monologues and screaming matches throughout the book had me rolling laughing. The book is written with dual pov which makes it all the more better.
I laughed more times that I can count, wanted to throw the book a couple times at the MMC's stupidity sometimes, felt my eyes well up with tears, and had a couple of hard realization moments because Henley's life related a lot to my own.
The author introduced so many new characters; I can't wait to read what she has planned for them in this new series. (Rebecca, Chloe, Blake and Antony to name a few).
If you are already a fan of TL Swan then you definitely don't want to miss this book. If you have not read the author, but enjoy a love story with a HEA, plenty of humor mixed in with plenty of spice wrapped up in a well thought-out worldbuilding way then please run and read this book when it is released.
Please note: The story does touch on mental health issues and grief.
Thank you for the amazing surprise of choosing me for this ARC. Thank you to TL Swan and her team for this opportunity. I was sent a free book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
To say I was excited for a new series from TL Swan would be an understatement.
This book knocked it out of the park, it was such a great book.
I loved the characters and their personalities. It was fun to have the map of the street to go back and reference when meeting the new neighbors.
This was the perfect spicy romance 🌶️. Can’t wait for the rest of the neighbors books 🥵.
I want to live on Kingston Lane! ❤️🥵
I rated this book a 4.5 ⭐️ and a 3🌶 level.

Henley and Juliet go on an amazing date then he ghosts her.
Fast forward a few years and they become unexpected neighbors, Henley is not happy.
They try to hate each other but slowly their walls break down and come up with an arrangement.
Can Juliet break down Henley's hard exterior and worm her way into his heart?
I loved the supporting characters and can not wait for their stories!
"Can you feel how badly I need you?"
It seems there’s a universal experience from all women about having the best date ever, thinking the guy is the one. There’s no way it can get better than that, and then all of a sudden you get ghosted.
Through this book I got to heal a little from that experience. It hurts, but reading about Juliet and Henley helped me heal that tiny wound. And it’s the best thing because I get to live vicariously through them and their happy ending.
It was a difficult story. Henley is a character who self sabotages when things start to get serious. We learn that this is because he’s trying to protect himself, but when is it protecting and when is it sabotaging yourself and those who love you?
It was hard to read how Juliet was treated when all she did was be there for him time and time again, but at the same time Juliet was the first person to stick with him even when it was really bad. So here’s where it gets difficult, how far will you let it go when you’re getting hurt but you know that person’s needs you?
It wasn’t a happy and perfect live story. It was one that needed a lot of communication, feelings getting hurt, and pushing yourself to the light even when the darkness is closer and easier to reach. I loved it, and I love how Swan portrayed these insecurities throughout the book.
This new series by TL swan felt very new and fresh almost like it wasn’t a Swan book, and now I’m very excited for this book. I love a next door neighbor trope and these two made it so comical and sexy. The back and forth whiplash of a relationship reminded me a lot of Jameson & Emily from The Stopover. This was so steamy, sexy & had so many swoony moments.
This is an amazing fake dating, enemies to lovers, grumpy/ sunshine, rom-com! There's a little bit of spice and everything nice! The push & pull between juliet & Henley is so swoon worthy! From laugh out loud to tears & heart break, this book will make you feel it!
There were a couple of scenes that I thought got chopped up/off, I had to go back & reread.
But I can't wait to see who stars in the next book of this series!

T.L. Swan was my first introduction into the world of spice (we don't count 50shades 🤣). I eventually made my way down her entire backlist and fell in love.
So to be accepted for this ARC 🥹 I feel blessed.
T always writes the perfect combination of plot + spice with a side of rich alphahole and strong but feisty FMC. You will laugh, you will cry and you will most definitely blush.
I loved this so much and cannot wait to see where this series goes 😍.
Thank you TL SWAN and netgalley for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
TL Swan created a new beautiful tortured hero. I love how she is always able to create complex characters with backgrounds that they to fight against to be happy. Her characters feel like real people, we can connect with them. A beautiful ending to a tormented story!
So like every single TL Swan book I’ve read, I FLEW through this. The premise was amazing. I LOVE a good meet cute romance where they see each other for the first time and it’s INSTANT attraction. Plus the fact that he came over to her and asked her on a date? Love a man who makes the first move.
Henley had me drawn in from the get go. He is so well written to capture the readers attention from the moment you meet him. He does take the whole brooding, angry “doesn’t want her but no one else can have her either” thing to another level.
I loved the forward progression of the plot. They leave on bad terms, hoping to never see each other again and then WAM BAM, she unknowingly moves in next door. BRILLIANT. Love this kind of trope.
I do think the ending was way too rushed. The resolution to the conflict just happened. Not really any groveling. Not a lot of explanation. Henley needed to do a LOT MORE groveling and character development for how asshole-y he was throughout the book.
But the jealousy trope was so yummy yum yum I ate that UP.
