thank you netgalley for an advanced reader copy of this book! I really really enjoyed this book and will definitely be picking up other books by this author! ✨
This was a quick, easy to read, enjoyable, suspenseful romance. I really love the fact that Christian was actually so sweet instead of the stereotype of the grumpy, asshat boss you usually get in books like this. I didn’t love the whole premise of the revenge porn from the ex but the fake dating that came out of it was something I liked (although they weren’t really faking it for long at all). The conflict seemed out of place and like it just was there for the sake of conflict but beside those point I did like it. Was a helpful book to have while in the midst of a major book slump because of the quickness.
Pretty good book overall... An employee /employer fake relationship, kind of book... Don't worry there is plenty of hot scenes through out the book... A great book to curl up and read...
I loved this book! It was easy to read, funny, cute and predictable but in a good way. The spicy scenes were quite good and I loved that even though the book is rather short, it doesn't feel like it. I thought the pace was good, it was well described and the characters were lovely (apart from Jared obviously).
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. Unfortunately, this was not for me. It was VERY smutty and overall just not for me. I DNF at 40%.
Alison was well aware that her attractive boss, Christopher was off-limits, she couldn't help but develop a crush on him, making it challenging to remain professional in her role as his assistant.
To make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend blackmailed her, insisting that she leak exclusive photos from a well-known couple's wedding who had close ties to Christopher, or else he would expose her.
With a fast-moving story full of romantic suspense, I never lost interest. The plot's seamless pacing, infused with love, flirtatious exchanges, and heartwarming moments, was truly enjoyable.
Who would have guessed that the kind and caring Christopher would be a dirty talker? The spicy scenes were scorching hot, leading up to an action-packed climax before the characters found their happily ever after.
Thank you Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book and it is my voluntary review.
This was my first time read of Jade's book and one of the interconnected book of the series but could be read as Standalone.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
I almost gave up on this book. and i would have done so prematurely because i actually really enjoyed it.
I think i was going to give up on it because my brain thought it knew where this book was going to go and I wasn't feeling it. but I'm so glad i stuck with it because m brain was wrong.
The revenge porn plot was fantastic to read because it happens in real life and you cold feel the fear and stress and trauma it caused. the hatred i felt for Jared was palpable.
The thing I loved most about this book was that both Mc's knew what was going on with the whole 'i need to seduce you and im being blackmailed' scenario and it made for a fantastic crime fighting duo element. And they both actually liked each other and both actually discovered this early on and they didn't beat around the bush. breath of fresh air.
I liked this book and feel that i will definitely be reading more from this author. Saying that, i also think that having this book be a duel pov would make this book 5 stars. I got lost a little throughout the book, so I think if we had Christians' view, i wouldn't have gotten as lost. I wish the pacing was a bit slower, but u still really did enjoy this book and their story. I always love a workplace romance, and this one was beautiful. It did bring up some dark things from a terrifying ex, but I read dark romance, so the presence of these topics didn't make me uncomfortable, so check the tw on this. I am so grateful that I was able to read this ARC and will be recommending more of Jade Church!!
Thank you NetGalley!!
This book was a fast paced, captivating read! I was sucked in from the first chapter. I loved the story, the tension and the characters.
Knocking off 2 stars as it felt more like someone telling me a story vs experiencing a story.
After Ali's ex-boyfriend blackmails her with a video of them she enlists the help of her boss Christopher to prevent the leak of the video.
This was a fun and easy read. I was unaware this was part of a series. I was still able to enjoy this book. So it can be read as a standalone. Overall an okay read.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the E-ARC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Ali is being blackmailed by her paparazzo ex-boyfriend, Jared. He is threatening her unless she gets him photos of an exclusive wedding. The wedding which her boss, Christopher, is is best friends with the groom. Jared tells her to seduce her boss, but Ali loves her job and had become close with Christopher.
I really enjoyed this book! It was fast paced, easy to read, and a little bit spicy! I love a good fake dating and workplace romance trope, and this book did not disappoint!
I thought Ali and Christopher had great chemistry, and I couldn’t wait to find out how this was going to end!
I definitely recommend reading this book!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*Reviewed on NetGalley and Goodreads.
I received this book as an arc. I did not read the first one yet but this story drew me in. It started a bit slow but after a couple chapters I just wanted to keep reading. Will likely be reading more from this author. Definitely want to go back and read the first book. I loved the characters and the way the story was set up. 4.5 stars
this was such a quick read and was superrrrr smutty. definitely a good pic if you need a fun romance with a little drama!
thank you to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy. all thoughts are my own.
This was cute, if a little unrealistic. Plus the revenge porn/blackmail storyline was a lot. Otherwise this was a cute fast paced read.
Fake dating, billionaire CEO x employee (PA), light to medium spice, soft d/s dynamic that switches
Ali has a crush on her boss Christopher, but until now she has never made a move. What changed? Her paparazzo ex has given her an ultimatum; she has sixty days to either stop him or be forced to leak this year's most exclusive wedding, neither of which she can do without her boss's help.
The story starts in media res which I wasn't expecting, so it threw me a little at first, but it made sense a few pages in. I thought the premise was interesting, the story was objectively well-written, and the characters were likeable and worked well together. Unfortunately, the book just didn't click for me, I think it's because I found it too fast-paced and plot-driven as I tend to prefer books with significant character development. Overall it was a good book that I enjoyed reading, and whilst it was not quite my cup of tea, I do think it's worth a read for people who enjoy the tropes, pacing, and focus of this book.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers, and the author for the Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tempt My Heart is a drama and suspense fuelled romance from the start. I found it difficult to absorb the plot, characters and setting due to the drama picking up immediately.
Ali is being blackmailed by her journalist ex, who holds a sexually exploitative video from her time with him and demands information on her boss, Christopher, and his colleague/friend. The two already have an established friendship, as she is his assistant and appears to hover on the boundary on flirting, but very mildly. Chris definitely has some feelings for her.
Ali eventually cracks after Jared, her horrible blackmailer, becomes more violent and threatening and reveals to Chris what's going on. It does take a while, but once she tells him, he agrees to go along with the plan and they fake date. It doesn't go on without the odd hiccup, but it's the type of book you read in one sitting to enjoy the rollercoaster of plot points and emotion.
I haven't rated it higher as I didn't feel a connection to the characters. I think Ali could have resolved things sooner by communicating with Chris and his colleagues sooner and speaking to authorities. The beginning of the book starts very abruptly too. I honestly thought I had missed a chapter when I started because it jumped right into blackmail without any prior context.
Thank you for the ARC!
First off, I didn't realize this book was part of a series, so therefore I have not read it's prequel. However, this can be easily read and enjoyed as a standalone.
Now with that said... Onto the review and I gotta say I am here for (most of) the tropes!
✔️ Fake Dating
✔️ Workplace romance (boss/assistant)
✔️ Touch her and die
Yes. Yes and more yes. I absolutely loved Chris, Ali and their story. I just wish we had more!
Unfortunately the beginning of the book dragged for me with the ex blackmail drama (sorry not sorry but Jared was an awful character). I would have liked to see alittle less repetition on that and more Chris and Ali backstory. It was noted that they (C+A) were coworkers and friends first and I would have liked to see more of that dynamic. Don't get me wrong I still LOVED them and that dress scene 🥵 iykyk. BUT I wasn't completely vibing with the insta love (not my favourite trope).
Overall this was a quick and enjoyable read.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me access to this book for my honest review.
