I loved this sweet, romance book! I didn't realize this was #7 in a series. I will be going back and reading the others. I would definitely recommend this series!
I just returned from a delightful stay at The Beach House Hotel, courtesy of NetGalley. This charming women's fiction novel is the latest installment in the series, and I'm thrilled to report that it did not disappoint.
The story revolves around the lives of Anne and Rhonda, the owners of the hotel, as they navigate the ups and downs of running a high-end getaway. With its luxurious setting and high-profile guests, this book is a departure from the typical seaside inn fare. The author does an excellent job of balancing the glitz and glamour of the hotel's clientele with the down-to-earth personalities of its owners.
The introduction of Bobby "Bugs" Bailey, an NFL star in need of an attitude adjustment, adds a fresh dynamic to the story. His presence provides a nice contrast to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel, and I found myself enjoying his character despite his initial arrogance.
The plot unfolds at a leisurely pace, focusing on the daily routines and challenges faced by Anne and Rhonda as they manage their business and relationships. While some readers may find the slow burn storyline a bit slow going, I appreciated the opportunity to get to know the characters and their quirks.
One aspect that didn't quite resonate with me was Rhonda's reaction to her biopsy. As someone who has experienced a similar situation, I couldn't quite understand why she would be fearful given her tough-as-nails personality.
Despite this minor quibble, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Beach House Hotel. The author has a knack for crafting relatable characters and scenarios that make you feel like you're right there with them. The book is a great summer read, perfect for anyone looking for a lighthearted and engaging story.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit to The Beach House Hotel and hope that future installments will explore more of Bobby's story, perhaps in a sports romance that would be simply divine.
I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.
The next book in The Beach House Hotel series continues the story of Ann & Rhonda - 2 women of a certain age who are determined to run a high-end, but reasonable resort.
Another favor has been called in by the Vice President - can they help an up-and-coming young football star with his attitude? Bobby "Bugs" Bailey comes to the resort full of swagger and attitude. His first job - helping Manny with the landscaping. Bugs cannot believe he has to, but his position on the team is in jeopardy. Come down to earth or get cut.
Tina Marks returns as a guest and her young nanny, Sydney, is in need of attention and reassurance. After a tough childhood, Tina wants to help build her confidence and show her that life is not always the worst. Slowly Bugs and Sydney form a friendship and when something terrible happens to Tina's family, Bugs shows he has a bigger heart than they thought.
I love this series!!!!!
This is a good book. The two main characters are Annie an and Rhonda. Together they co-own The Beach House Hotel. They known each other since college. They have watched each of their families grow. They have been through sickness together. They are a family. They have employees that feel like family, even customers that stay at the hotel. It is a story about love.
This installment is the newest addition to the Beach House Hotel series. Although starting from the beginning is ideal for newcomers, the author skillfully recaps earlier characters and events in the initial chapters. The Beach House Hotel, though small, has garnered a noteworthy reputation for its excellent service, cuisine, and events, thanks to owners Ann and Rhonda. Renowned for assisting troubled individuals, they embark on helping an NFL player struggling with fame. The narrative weaves themes of love for family, business, and community, while the protagonists, Ann and Rhonda, navigate challenges posed by antagonists. A delightful summer read suitable for teens and beyond.
A charming story and highly entertaining.
Many thanks to Wild Quail Press and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
One of my favorite books this year. I love books where the setting is at the beach. Love the characters and the storyline.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the seventh book in the series but can be read as a stand alone book. I’m not really sure why but I wasn’t able to connect with the characters. I made through most of the book but it ended up being a DNF for me. #CoffeeatTheBeachHouseHotel #NetGalley
This was such a lovely read about a great friendship that has lasted the test of time. The Beach House Hotel is a great setting and has a gripping twist.
My heart felt the story, and I was addicted to the characters. I can not wait for the next book
as usual I loved the latest installment of Ann and Rhonda’s adventures. I hope there are lots more to come.
Another good book in the series. Have not read them all, but was not lost. Liked this one and the characters overall, although the kidnapping I could have done without. Still though, enjoyed this one, and would be a good one for a fun summer read. Highly recommend.
I really liked this book and I loved the strong female characters that are portrayed in this book. It was a very good book and I look forward to reading more in this series.

What a wonderful book! This book is set on a coastal setting and focuses on many friendships the main focus is one an NFL player sent to get straightened out. Perfect setting with the beach! Love the characters and the friendships in this book. This book is #7 in a series but is fine to read as stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an ARC of the book
Once again we return to an old favorite stomping ground in Coffee At The Beach House Hotel by Judity Keim. Ann and Rhonda have worked hard for years to make their hotel a happy and inviting place for all their guests. In this book we are introduced to Bobby an NFL football player with a attitude, that is sent there to help him realize that the world doesn't revolve around him. And we also are reintroduced to many people that we have met over the years. As with all this author's book we fall in love with the characters. I would recommend this book to everyone.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and I am leaving my review voluntarily and all opinions expressed here are my own.
Loved this story. Rhonda and Ann have been through a lot together. Now they are grandma's and want to slow down a little. Rhonda had such a scare in this story and made them both realize they wanted to spend time with their family. Liz and the twins. Brock always bothering them. And Rhonda with her matchmaking. . Looking forward to the next one.
A great book to take along to the beach and wile away the hours on the sand since it’s about a beach hotel.
Hotel guests can be challenging and they keep the proprietors on their toes.
It’s an easy read and pleasant.
Give it a go.
It's a nice story and I loved the setting but somehow it didn't work for me and it fell flat.
Not my cup of tea
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
There was a lot going on in Coffee at the Beach House. A breast cancer scare, an arrogant pro football player, a stressful wedding and a kidnapping was all resolved within a few pages of being introduced. One of those situations could have been written about in detail to create the entire novel. It was too superficial for my liking.
Thank you NetGalley, Judith Keim and Wild Quail Publishing for the ARC of Coffee At The Beach House Hotel. This is my personal review.
Ann and Rhonda run The Beach House Hotel on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They cater to many different types of guests and each one is always given the treatment as every guest that stays there.
This is another amazing book by the author. She writes so the characters all feel like someone I want to meet. The stories revolve around friends and family and each book in the series has a bit of everything in it. The connection the main women Ann and Rhonda has with the other characters is perfect.
Every time I start reading a book by Judith Keim the rest of the world drifts away until I have finished reading the last word in the book.
I love to read Judith Keim's books. She writes the most powerful female characters in a calming, accessible way. No wonder the Vice President keeps sending problem cases to Rhonda and Ann! This time it's a young football player who needs an attitude adjustment. In addition, there are weddings to deal with, an old nemesis return, some matchmaking, and personal dilemmas that the ladies must work through. Reading Coffee at The Beach House Hotel helped me remember that self-care is essential and left me glad I read it.
