What a triangle of... friends??? I was hooked, loved it!
Thanks to NetGalley, the editor and the author for the opportunity to access this copy.
This was a slow burn, but once it took off - it really took off! I really enjoyed all of the dark twists and turns throughout the story, and how it was told via now/then POVs. Definitely recommend this book!
Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wow what a page turner, full of twists, turns and suspense. Recommended.

I had high hopes for this book, and while it started off strong, certain elements of the storyline were tired and overdone.
Overall, it was a decent read about betrayal, deceit, and lies, and it reminded me why I have very few female friends.
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this copy. This book is out now.
First, let me say that this would make an amazing movie and I really hope that comes to fruition! I love books that keep you guessing, and this certainly did that. The character development and plot is set up nicely, nothing drags with this book. Once the story really gets going, itโs edge of your seat reading. It also had a satisfying ending. Thanks for the opportunity to read and I look forward to more from this author (and, hopefully, the movie!!)
A really interesting thriller. Many twists and turns that leave you dizzy, wondering what will happen next. The characters are really well written and come alive on the page. The author writes so well that you feel as though you are watching a film, rather than reading.
I look forward to reading much more from this talented author.
This book was so gripping I read it in one day. I was hooked from the get-go and wanting to find more about the characters. I enjoyed the dual POV, giving the reader further insight into what was really going on but I would NEVER have guessed the twist at the end.
Evie and Alice have been friends since school but fell away from each other over the years. They reconnected when Evie sent her a friend request on social mediaโฆ and from there, we have our story.
The author goes into quite a bit of detail regarding IVF, fertility and miscarriages (so be warned) as this story is quite focussed around these themes. She captures the emotion well (not that I have been through any of that) but it seemed very personal the way it was written.
Evie is definitely a troubled girl and that is evident from the beginning of the book - she is in it for revenge. She very much shows her colours from the start with how she acts and speaks.
Alice, sheโs a very iffy character. She made the hairs on my neck stand. There was something very off with her and she gave me an uneasy feel. Both Evie and Alice used each other.
But, the ending, what a twist - excellent and I never saw it coming! What a read.
Thank you to @netgalley, @rebeccadwinter and @stormbooks_co for allowing me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book had me hooked and didnโt know what was going to happen next. Really enjoyed this and will recommend it to others
First of all thank you to NetGalley and storm publishing for the ARC. Iโm sorry I didnโt get a chance to read this prior to publication date. I enjoyed this book about two friends but some of it I felt like was a little far fetched and the characters a little underdeveloped. I would give this author another shot though.
Thank you Storm Publishing, Rebecca de Winter, and Netgalley for this book in exchange for a review. This book gripped my straight away. I love it when books have short chapters, go back in time and then to the present, separated by chapters. The writing was good and there was a nice twist at the end. ๐๐๐1/2 rounded up to 4 for goodreads. Definitely would add this to it tbr list.
Really enjoyed this. Its quite dark and twisty. You really feel bad for Evie. Her life was turned upside down when she was a tween, and again as a teen and then, she went off and rebuilt herself into what she thought she should be. A successful professional, married to a man she 'loves' and trying for a baby. Its all going ok until she sees Alice, her old frenemy and then, things really go awry. I loved this book. I was rooting for Evie so much. Even when its all going a bit crazy, it was hard not to root for her. Some great twists.....really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC. This book captured my attention from the start and kept me wanting to read into the late hours of the night. Evie, Alice and Jake are all friends growing up together and Jake and Evie fall for each other. Alice likes to be in control of everything and she always gets what she wants. When Alice uses Evie in a revengeful plan against another student, Evie is suddenly whisked off out of town and doesn't have time to say goodbye to her love, Jake. Fast forward 25 years and Evie is going through a divorce in Boston and has an opportunity to go back home to London for a work opportunity. Alice, Jake and Evie reconnect and enter back into each others lives. As they relive the past and catch up; with other, Alice and Evie learn some very interesting things about each other. Well how does that saying go? With best friends like this who needs enemies!!!!
Twisty, gripping revenge thriller about friendship, love and envy. Absolutely devoured this one. 5 stars!
Fantastic, immersive story with lots of twists and turns. Characters that are deliciously repellant. The story moves quickly, and turns into something dark.
Highly recommended.
I enjoyed it but kept waiting for something but is a fairly standar revenge story and standard unsure who to belive
I think the authour wasnโt sure either as we kept switching back and forth over who was culpable
Doesnโt matter they both weโre complicit really and I did like the ending
Was ok bit brilliant but ok
Ty advanced copy netgalley and publishers
Doesnโt link to goodreads but have added review there too
4 stars. The storyline is exciting, a story of friendship between 2 women that is quite complicated. A past that still overshadows their lives. Plus a triangular love story. But the plot twist, I didn't think it would come to that.
I finished reading this book in 2 days. I couldn't take my eyes off of this book.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the ARC <3
Oh a revenge book! Slow start, about %30 into the book I started to get hooked!
Dialogue was a bit confusing between characters a few times throughout the book!
A really good twist at the end!
Then and now perspective, kept the book interesting! I was glad I stuck through and finished the book.

I really enjoyed this book and the Rebecca de Winterโs writing style! I was hooked from the beginning and couldnโt wait to finish it. There were some parts close to the end that felt a bit muddy and rushed, but overall such a great read. I look forward to more books from this author!
A really gutsy thriller which centres around an incredibly toxic friendship spanning decades. An enjoyable read but did seem to be a bit confusing at times.
