This book is from a series called Little People, Big Dreams where the author selects a famous person and writes a brief biography, suitable for a young child. These are picture books. I think this is a wonderful idea for opening up the eyes of a child to the rest of the world.

The Royal Family of England has always been prominent in the news. While I never have made a point of keeping up with everything, I always liked Diana and was sad that her life ended just as she was finding herself.

The story is factual. It uses simple language to give a light overview to Diana's life. The illustrations are appropriate.

I think many children would be happy with this story about a real princess. There are enough details to satisfy a youngster.

Most of us know the famous princess that captivated everyone's attention. Her grace and her kindness that always be her trademark. But for once, the author talked about her divorce that led to bulimia. And Diana overcame her sickness, then be the inspiring princess we all know. At first, I was skeptic to this information for young ones, but apparently the author can always finished it beautifully.

I grabbed "Princess Diana" because, like the rest of the world, I grew up hearing about the "People's Princess" and was in awe of her prior to her death in 1997. I was curious how a children's story would address her life. I feel as though it addressed her life well, though I worry that some of it might be above a child's understanding. Conversations regarding eating disorders, for example, absolutely have their place, but a board book, whose audience is typically under the age of 4 or 5, is probably not the place. Of course, children are capable of understanding much more than we sometimes give them credit for, and certainly children deal with deep issues such as divorce, which is also mentioned. I appreciated the pictures and blurb at the end of the book as well, going into further detail about Princess Diana. The book was interesting and probably something I would read to my children, but I definitely wouldn't recommend reading this blind to your children as there may be conversations that come out of it which you may or may not be prepared for.

This captivating biography delves into the life of Princess Diana, the beloved princess who touched the hearts of millions worldwide.

One of the strengths of this book is its ability to showcase Diana's kind-hearted nature from a young age. It portrays her journey, starting as a primary school teacher and eventually marrying Prince Charles, capturing the attention of the world. Diana's sudden fame became a platform for her to raise awareness about various charitable causes, all while nurturing her two sons and instilling in them a connection to the world beyond the palace walls.

The book successfully highlights Diana's iconic status as a style and grace icon, but more importantly, as the princess of the people. It reminds readers of her unwavering commitment to making the world a kinder place and encourages us all to stand for what we believe in.

I particularly enjoyed the stylish and quirky illustrations throughout the book, which brought the story to life and engaged young readers. The Little People, BIG DREAMS series continues to impress me with its empowering messages and accessibility to children of all ages. This series effectively showcases outstanding individuals who achieved incredible things, reminding us that everyone starts as a child with a dream.

"Princess Diana" is a great addition to the Little People, BIG DREAMS series. It beautifully portrays Diana's story of resilience and her commitment to kindness and compassion. Although some important events may have been omitted, the book provides a solid introduction to Diana's life. However, due to the inclusion of certain sensitive topics, like her eating disorder, I would exercise caution in recommending this book for very young children. Nonetheless, it serves as an excellent resource to inspire children to make a positive impact in the world.

I love all of these books! The illustrations are lovely. Diana’s story is a great one of both highs and lows, the book does emphasize her kindness and show her accolades and work that was important to her. Although the darker and more difficult subjects are mentioned in a simple and straightforward way, they would need further explanation if reading to a young child. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

Diana, known as the 'People's Princess,' became a global figure and used her fame to aid people worldwide. She imparted cultural understanding and empathy to her sons. Despite personal hurdles like an eating disorder and public divorce, Diana persevered with her humanitarian work, aiming to improve the world.

Princess Diana's commitment to kindness and compassion demonstrates resilience and highlights the importance of mental well-being while emphasising the potential for positive change through our actions.

I received an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

As always with this author and series I loved it. I love learning about important people in this simple way. As a soon to be teacher I love reading and finding books to bring into the classroom and this is definitely one of them!

I love the Little People, Big Dreams series and was so excited to see Princess Diana added.
The illustrations are mostly enjoyable- I liked them very much except for the way Diana was drawn. This little book is a great way to learn about the life of Diana even though many major things were left out. I don’t think including her eating disorder was appropriate for a young children’s book and I would be unlikely to purchase this for my children’s bookshelves for this reason.

This is such a welcome addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series. It doesn’t shy away from the Royal divorce or Diana’s struggles with bulimia, but tackles these topics with age appropriate language and care. It focuses on so much more than just her marriage and highlights the wonderful and cari g person Diana was, and how her selfless legacy is ever lasting. I cannot wait to add the physical edition of this book to our home library!

This was so cute. Despite it being a children's book, I found that I still learned quite a bit about Princess Diana. It was simple but still held information for the reader to learn, no matter the age. I highly recommend this book and any other book in this series, for you and your little ones to read together.

I am a big sucker for anything Princess Diana related, so this book was a no-brainer. I was curious how her death would be handled, but alas it really wasn't. Trigger/content warning: it does talk about her bulimia which is likely a topic being introduced to young readers at this age. So as a parent be sure to have a conversation with your child during or after reading it. I will say, it is not romanticized and does talk about the harm it did to her body. I would have loved even more from the book overall, but the it was a good children's introduction to the wonderful princess.

I have never really been hugely interested in the Royal Family, but I have always had a soft spot for Princess Diana.
Was interesting reading about her life - and not from all the Rosey points of view either.
Great book, from a great series .

My entire family loves the "Little People, Big Dreams" books, and I was thrilled to see one about Princess Diana. This book highlights prominent moments through her life, giving the readers an insight into the life of "The People's Princess".

I enjoyed the illustrations in the book, and the easy-to-understand milestones about Princess Diana. It went just in-depth enough for younger readers, but still mentioned the serious aspects of her life. At the end of the book was a timeline of her life, as well as a little more detail about some of her life events.

This is a great book to help learn about famous people who have helped change the world, and I highly recommend books in this series.

Such a lovely, short, compact read! It was a short biography of Princess Diana's life with stunning illustrations. The art style was wonderful, really diverse and unique. I really appreciated the detailed mention of bulimia in the book, I think it's very important to start educating on eating disorders from an early age. I also loved the ending and how tastefully it handled the tragic accident in which Diana lost her life. I would definitely give this book to my children, especially that I am a huge enthusiast of everything English.

I am a big fan of this particular series of books. I appreciate the level of detail and research that is always put into the books. However, I would be hesitant to use this in my classroom of 8/9 year olds due to the pages included on bulimia. If this book was marketed toward a children a little older I would habe no qualms, but it does give me pause for younger children.

This children’s biography is part of the Little People Big Dreams series. This book presents a very simple and inspiring overview of Princess Diana’s life. The illustrations and text are appropriate for a very young audience with photographs shown at the end.

Ian always looking for children’s books about strong females to give to my nieces and nephews. This one caught my eye for this very reason. The illustrations are colorful, simple, and well-suited to the story. Big issues are tackled in a very to-the-point fashion (divorce, eating disorder, infidelity). This leaves room for (and, honestly, probably a NEED for) follow-up discussion on these big topics, especially with more curious children. I think that this book does what it intends to do… describe the life of Princess Diana in a way that’s easy to understand.

A good introduction to children of a major figure. Many details were missing and other heavy issues were included which I thought was surprising for a children’s book. Princess Diana is a fascinating royal figure and it is always good to see her passion to help others be shared. The illustrations were sweet and fit the book.
