Makeup artist Lane and wedding planner Helen have been in the same weddings for as often as they can remember and nothing good ever came out of their interactions. While on the surface they clash, underneath them all, they each harbour unresolved and unrealised feelings towards the other. All of the emotions they tried to contain came to a head when they had to collaborate for Lane’s best friend, Darcy’s wedding.

As the story gained pace, I felt like I was in on a secret; being privy to their attraction to each other. And knowing what they were going and have gone through, you can’t help but root for them because they are just good for each other. Lane has scars that are still raw that she can’t help picking and Helen held back some information that eventually backfired on her. Between the pair, they have so much to give and while there is passion, heat and drama, I felt the book ended a chapter short. I like the pairing and their romancing and would have gladly bumped it higher if the ending was a tad longer.

I just reviewed It’s All In the Details by Dena Blake. Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC.

An adorable story about happily ever afters! Lane and Helen run in the same professional circles - namely weddings. Lane thinks Helen is an ice queen, and Helen thinks too much about Lane. When the two have to band together to plan the wedding of Lane's best friend, there's an undeniable spark. If the two can get over their personal hang-up, that is.

I loved the way the relationship progressed and their issues felt believable. I wish it was longer and a little more developed - hardly saw any of Lane's family but got a lot of Helen's. Overall, very enjoyable and I'd absolutely read another from this author!

Thanks to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the opportunity to read and review!

Wedding planner Helen is clashing with make-up artist Lane. And to make matters worse, Helen is planing the wedding of Lane’s best friend so they have to spend ridiculous amount of time together. An angsty romance with the past weaving in an out and 2 very different backgrounds make for a pleasant read. An interesting read from this author.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

a book about a wedding planner and a makeup artist who helps the bride and bridesmaids with their makeup
not normally a book i would enjoy but have to admit the back story with their families made it more interesting and kept my attention

so i also have to admit then to being disappointed with the ending... but on the whole its a fun read with helen and lane clashing at all the weddings they have to do together
