From Now Until Forever by Rowan Coleman is an unforgettable novel about living life to the fullest and loving forever. The story follows Ben Church, an ordinary man who realizes he is running out of time to fulfill his dreams. He decides to take a chance and pursue his passions, including visiting his favorite painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It's there that he meets Vita Ambrose, a woman who appears to have everything but is searching for meaning in her life. Together, Ben and Vita embark on a journey to make every moment count, to make time stand still, and to find a way to make their love last forever.
Coleman's writing is beautiful and evocative, painting vivid images of the characters and settings. She explores the themes of time, love, and mortality with sensitivity and depth, creating a story that is both heartwarming and heart-wrenching. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making it easy to empathize with their struggles and root for their happiness.
The audiobook version of From Now Until Forever, narrated by a talented voice actor, adds another layer of emotion to the story. The pacing is perfect, allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves in the story and experience the joys and sorrows of the characters.
Overall, From Now Until Forever is a touching and uplifting novel that reminds us to cherish every moment and to never give up on our dreams. It is a perfect read for anyone who loves a good love story or who wants to be inspired to live life to the fullest. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heartwarming and poignant read.
I was sent this audiobook from Hodder & Stoughton Audio and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I went into this book completely blind and I'm so glad I did, I was very pleasantly surprised. I suggest it's a great way to go into this book.
I felt really pulled in by the writing and found the storyline very intriguing.
The characters had depth and I enjoyed following them as the story progressed.
The interactions and chemistry were written in a way that really resonated with myself. So much that I found that I actually cried reading the end.
I really enjoyed experiencing the different layers to this story and so I highly recommend this book!
This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book. It took me a bit to connect with the characters, but once I did, they had me by the heartstrings. I think the less you know going in, the better, but let’s just say this isn’t the standard romance novel you might be expecting
This book is an unusual read for me. I hadn’t appreciated at the start that it is a type of time travel romance; a style of writing which I had given up on some years ago. However, I kept going with this very unusual and unrealistic tale and rather enjoyed the change. Ben is such a likeable character that you cannot help but cheer him on all the way. I’m not sure really what he saw in Vita but then I’m not sure any of us have ever met anyone like her anyway! I think this might be a love it or hate it book for many, but in the meantime, I’d suggest you give it a go and just go with the flow and enjoy the way it makes you mind explore the possibilities of life outside our normal dimension of living!
This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book. It took me a bit to connect with the characters, but once I did, they had me by the heartstrings. As an artist myself, I loved how the author weaved not only the artworks of Leonardo Da Vinci into the story, but also the history surrounding the creation of the works, how those past events shaped the characters, and the affect they had into present day. This book was heartbreaking at times, but overall very hopeful.
This was a truly enjoyable read, and I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more books by Rowan Coleman in the future.
This is a general fiction/romance book, which I loved. It was so well written, and the story about Ben and Vita was just amazing, heartwarming, emotional and touching. Ben has a brain problem which means he doesn't have much time left on the earth, and he meets Vita, who is an art curator. Together they have the perfect romance, which is so deep and loving. As we go through their story, there are many sad and uplifting moments which will make you feel emotional and perhaps cry, but you will really enjoy it. With many layers and beautiful writing, this book will open your heart and touch your soul. The audiobook narrators were both fantastic, and they did a great job. I especially liked the female narrator's different accents. Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.
It took me some time to get connected to the story and the characters. But boy, once I did, it gave it all. At first, I had trouble getting attached to Vita, and I think her voice was to blame. But now that I've finished reading, her voice makes perfect sense. Throughout the book, I felt touched and moved by Vita and Ben's story. Their love story may be a little fast-paced, but given the situation, that wasn't a problem for me and I really enjoyed it.
Funnily enough, I was doing a jigsaw puzzle as I listened to it, and it felt like each chapter added a few more pieces to the story, just like my puzzle was being revealed, and I really enjoyed that.
The context of art, paintings and Leonardo da Vinci was really nice and interesting.
And then, can we talk about Maria? Dear Maria, I don't know if I've ever liked a secondary character so much, she really touched me!
First, I would like to thank the author & NetGalley for the eARC opportunity. Like always, this review is voluntary & honest
I struggled a bit with this book from the start but decided to give it at least until I had read it all before making a decision.
Unfortunately, from Now Until Forever was not my cup of tea. It has a beautiful storyline, but I struggled to connect with this book.
I wanted to love this one, but I just couldn't connect. 😞
From Now Until Forever is an interesting read -or listen, in my case to the audiobook - one that makes you think you're taking one kind of journey and you very quickly realise it's something different altogether.
Vita and Ben live completely separate lives - Ben, only just 30, has suffered from a syndrome that means his early death is quickly approaching, and Vita wise and mature beyond the appearance of her years. When a chance meeting means their worlds collide, they immediately sense the spark between them despite the odds of them ever being properly together.
The audio book was easy to listen to, with interesting voices portraying both Vita and Ben (complete with his Northern accent!) however, it did take a slight deviation from the traditional romantic will they/won't they tale. I'm not sure it was necessarily for me but I did listen to the end, and felt quite moved by the events of the characters lives.
Overall i'd give it 3.5/5
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advance release copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have previously read and really enjoyed a book by Rowan Coleman and I keep hearing great stuff about her books so I have also been collecting them.
This story was said to be good for people who enjoyed The Time Traveller's Wife. I really loved that book, even if I could not fully believe it as anything sci-fi is generally not my cup of tea. Unfortunately From Now Until Forever was also not my cup of tea. There were some good parts to it and the writing and narration was really good, but it simply wasn't for me.
Had I known the story would be the way it was I would not have read it... unfortunately I cannot say anymore as it is not mentioned in the synopsis.
I’m currently suffering from that bookish disease known to many as finishing a fantastic book and nothing else is looking as good. This book was a slow start and i almost gave up but so glad I didn’t, it was worth ever moment and I needed to know what was going to happen but didn’t want it to end. An intriguing storyline ( no spoilers here), art, friendship, love and family. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you. The narrators on the audio brought it to life, especially when being Miria.
Wow! That was an emotional rollercoaster!!
A really gripping and moving story of heartbreak, love hope and making the most of your life.
Emotional to say three just, but makes you appreciate life.
Strong, lovable characters, I couldn't stop listening
From Now Until Forever was an unexpected listen - a love story with a time travelling twist ( I won’t give any other plot spoilers!). I haven’t read or listened to anything by the author before but I’ve always wanted to and was drawn to the cover of this.
I liked the character of Ben and his story was narrated beautifully by Nathaniel Priestley, The narrator portrayed Ben empathically and I had a real understanding of his character and what he had been through. However I found it hard to warm to Vita and to empathise with her. Vita was narrated by Helen McAlpine and she portrayed Vita as a miserable character- not someone I would expect Ben to fall in love with!
This was a slow paced listen that didn’t draw me in and overall I found the genre was not for me.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital audiobook.
From Now Until Forever by Rowan Coleman examines what happens when someone running out of time collides with someone who has nothing but time.
The book opens with Ben Church living the worst day of his life. He learns a previously dormant medical issue will now take his life in days, weeks, maybe months. Knowing this, he travels to London to make the most of the time he has left. Standing on a street corner, he meets a woman who will change the time he has remaining.
Vita Ambrose is a widow and art curator at a museum where she is trying to uncover the secrets of everlasting life she believes is hidden in a VanGogh painting. Taking a walk near the museum, she boldly steps into traffic to save a child from being hit. This is the moment where Ben and Vita’s life intersect, changing the two of them forever.
This was an excellent novel that merges life with death, friendship with love, strangers and lovers, and the past with the present and future. It allows the reader to travel through space and time pondering if everlasting life is worth the pain and loss of watching those around you die.
Do yourself a favor and settle in with this engaging story! The expected release date is August 3rd!
Thank you NetGalley, Rowan Coleman, and Hodder & Stoughton for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to net galley and Horder & Stoughton for this audio advanced copy.
I don’t want to say too much for this one, as I feel like I’d ruin it. It was completely unexpected and such a good listen. If you can go in blind, do it, as I found it was much better that way. It was such a lovely story, I loved the writing and the way the characters were built up. The ending was just beautiful.
The book starts with Ben receiving bad news at the hospital, he has not long to live so when he gets out of the hospital, he decides to go to London. There he bumps into Vita and falls for her fast. She’s an interesting woman with a take to tell.
I listened to this book and the narrators were both fabulous, they changed their voices so well I thought there was more than 2 narrators. They were both clear and dramatic at times. They made the story for me.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
I struggled a little to get into this novel but am so glad that I persevered.. An unusual story, I enjoyed how the main character’s relationship developed. Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy.
4.5⭐️
How much time does one need to live life well?
Ben and Vita have a chance meeting and instant connection just when one of them is running out of time, and the other has too much time. As the care they have for one another grows, they rush to try to solve a centuries-long mystery in hopes of bridging the gap between them.
This is a lovely story told lovingly, and I enjoyed every minute of its hope and devastation.
The audiobook was nicely narrated by Helen McAlpine and Nathaniel Priestley.
Thank you Rowan Coleman, Hodder & Stoughton Audio, and NetGalley for providing this ALC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
Thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for offering me the opportunity to listen to this book before being released in exchange for my honest review.
I requested the book as it seemed to be for me ( I love romance books) and because the plot sounded very interesting - He's running out of time, time is all she has.
Unfortunately, I cannot say more than this as I would spoil it but I can confirm if you love a romance, you would enjoy this book.
The narrators were really good too. I loved both of their voices and I was surprised to find out that Nathaniel Priestley is only living about 20 miles away from me. I know, totally out of the context but interesting fact for me.
From now until Forever by Rowan Coleman is very different.
I was kucky to receive an audiobook version which was very well voiced. It made it easy to track the characters just by sound.
Usually time slip type books tend to be light and frothy but this one is very dark.
One character has a terminal illness whilst another has an interminal life. One wants to live and the other wants to die.
Hearing that a contemporary of Da Vinci took out his mobile phone and rang seems quite novel.
Its usually pretty easy to see where the plot is going but this could have gone in any direction right to the very end.
It does emphasis the need to value whatever life you have now and wriing value from every minute
