There was a lot happening in this book and I'm not sure it's completely sorted yet. I was lucky enough to receive a digital copy of this book as an Advanced Readers Copy, so I do have hope that some of these issues will be sorted out before it is released, but as of right now it is a bit all over the place. There is just so many side quests and sub plots and quickly forgotten characters, that had so much potential but felt rushed or irrelevant in the current draft. Our protagonist was pretty loveable though and I see how this book could be great.

Le sigh. My first DNF of 2023. I made it to chapter four but had to call it quits. I found the typos and layout to be confusing and it really took me out of the story. I really enjoyed the cover and the blurb, but unfortunately for this reader, the book did not deliver. My suggestion to the author is to hire an editor who could help to shape the story and make it more engaging. There is a winner buried somewhere in here, you just need some help finding it!

I have no words... I went into this arc with such high anticipation, Between the cover and the description, however this book lack luster for me. There are several inaccurate names, and punctuation and also the comments said about races, seems very sketchy to me personally. This book I thought was gonna preach girl power and it DID NOT.

I thought… well, that is on me. Anyway.

Reading this was a lot, like so many stuff didn’t make sense. Changing POV too many times without it being Chapter XX and name of the person.

This could be so good, but let’s go with it’s me, not the book.

"Love on Blast" by Teddy Blaire promises an exciting premise but unfortunately falls short in delivering a fully engaging and well-constructed narrative.

The cover of the book is undeniably attractive, drawing readers in with the promise of an enticing tale of friendship and competition in the realm of relationships. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes evident that more meticulous editing could have significantly enhanced the overall reading experience.

The central plot revolves around two best friends, Sami and Jewel, both finding themselves single at the same time. The concept of competition for a life-altering prize adds an intriguing layer to the story. However, the execution of the plot leaves much to be desired. The pacing is rushed, hindering character development and relationship building, making the characters feel one-dimensional and lacking depth.

Moreover, the frequent and abrupt point-of-view changes within chapters contribute to the disjointed narrative. The promise of exploring the complexities of friendship and relationships in the face of competition is overshadowed by these structural issues, making it challenging to fully immerse oneself in the story.

The book attempts to touch on themes of racism, but the execution of this aspect is questionable and may not resonate well with readers. Additionally, the presence of a third character depicted on the cover, seemingly significant, remains largely detached from the core storyline, contributing to a sense of inconsistency.

In summary, while "Love on Blast" holds promise with its intriguing premise and eye-catching cover, it falls short due to issues related to pacing, character development, editing, and point-of-view transitions. With a more carefully crafted narrative, enriched characterizations, and a more focused exploration of its themes, this book could reach its potential and offer readers a more engaging and satisfying reading experience.

Unfortunately this wasn’t a book for me, however just the beautiful cover alone will be suitable for the right person out there waiting to discover this one!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I really wanted to love this book as the cover and description were so appealing but overall, it just wasn't for me. There is still a relatively high level of editing left to be done for typos, and I did spot some character name confusion.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this advanced reader copy of Love On Blast.

The cover of this book is beautiful and creative and highlights the rom-com genre of the novel. This initially drew me in and the premise of three, starkly different women trying to find love sounded like a fun, lighthearted read.

After three chapters, I couldn’t bring myself to finish the story. The three main women are described on a very superficial level and didn’t demonstrate any depth to their characters. It felt one dimensional to me. The pacing of the plot was too fast and didn’t allow for any relationship building or development. I also found it hard to follow as the character perspective changes multiple times within each chapter, rather than a whole chapter focusing more on just one character’s story. I didn’t find anything standout about this story and as a result, didn’t want to keep reading.

The story has the potential to be good, but some more in-depth plot building and character building needs to happen to draw me in as a reader.

I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to NetGalley and Teddy Baire for granting me the opportunity to read this book. The cover of the book is exquisitely designed, and I initially approached this story with great enthusiasm, drawn in by its summery vibes. However, I couldn't help but feel that certain elements were omitted. At times, the book compelled me to pause and take a step back from my reading, but overall, it was a compelling and enjoyable experience.

this book is going to be on blast. oof its a bit of a mess. there's a lot to the bones of it. i can see it the spark in through it all. it needs some editing. this reads like a rough cut that should not be put out for consumption yet. i feel really bad for teddy baire because i can tell they really put their whole self into this, it has a lot of personality in there. it's just hodgepodges a bit due to a lack of self editing. i see what's there! i like the idea!

I laughed so hard while reading this. This was a romance but it was also about friendship. Two friends are competing for the same position at work. They are writing articles about dating and all the things women go through to find the 'one' using their own experiences. Along the way they find love but they also almost lose their friendship. I just loved the story and the growth of these characters. I cannot wait to read more by this author, Thank you to NetGalley and Indie, Teddy Baire Inc. for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Wanted to like this book. I really did! However, I struggled to care about the characters or the whole reason for this storyline to start. The author warns about several things, and the racism starts early and aggressively. It put me off.

This could have been a good book but unfortunately there were a lot of mistakes in this copy, including a mix up in the names of the characters relating to the story which made it hard to follow.

To me this could have been really good but it felt rather mundane and lacked a lot of plot lines.

I'm sorry, but I found some takes about race a little too weird and I couldn't quite get the vibe. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review!

I really love the artwork for the cover and the blurb about this book. Those two things are what drew me to wanting to read this story! My favorite things from this book was the relationships between the best friends. I do think that that pacing can be worked on and I did find some parts cringey but over all it’s a good story.

I absolutely loved the cover and the blurb about this book. I went into it with high hopes of a good rom-com.
The best friends and their well-developed characters were my favorite aspects of the book. Though I wasn't rooting for one over another. I enjoyed The Great Date Off's concept; it had some excellent ideas. Now comes the part where I say there were too many side characters to follow. There were a lot of typos and inconsistencies in this book that made it difficult for me to follow the storyline. I also found the book cringeworthy times, but that might have just been me. A good editor would definitely make this book a winner.

Thanks #netgalley for this ARC for review.

My god was this terrible. First off it needs way more editing. There are so many times where andrew and jamals names are mixed up. How do you even do that, they are very different characters. There are also really weird things said about different races that seem really sketch. The whole plot is just weird and they keep talking about how they are best friends but it's never really shown. There are also three girls on the cover but becca isn't really that relevant and doesn't even have a pov.

I received an arc through netgalley.
