Dylan Coughlan takes an unexpected turn in her life when she impulsively enters a radio competition and finds herself winning a round-the-world trip. The twist? Her travel partner is a random contact from her phone, and fate pairs her with Jack 'the Posho,' the man she unintentionally ghosted.

As Dylan embarks on this global adventure, she faces the challenge of creating a hit column documenting her travels and, more specifically, her love life, all in the pursuit of a promotion. Despite the initial awkwardness between Dylan and Jack, the column gains popularity, paralleling the growth of a genuine bond between them.

Caught in the whirlwind of her romantic narrative, Dylan contemplates whether to let her heart soar or if she and Jack are destined for a reality check upon their return to Earth. "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?" is a delightful and comedic journey exploring the unpredictable twists and turns of love and adventure.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

A really great story that had me hooked from the start! The contest prize was such a great way to force Dylan and Jack together on the trip around the world. I loved the awkward tension between the two characters in the early part of the book and the whole ‘will they/won’t they’ trope was excellently done. It was also great reading about their adventures in the different countries and the things they saw/did on each part of the trip. I really liked ‘Wanderlust’ and would recommend it!

I'm an absolute sucker for any travel related stories so the premise of this one was a win for me.
Dylan is feeling underappreciated in her role as a writer for a magazine and enters a radio competition on a whim, only to win a round the world trip of a lifetime. The twist? The radio station gets to choose her travel companion - anyone in her phone contacts list. The pick is... "Jack the Posho" - a random Dylan ghosted after a night out.

Despite my enthusiasm for this plot, I almost gave up early on due to the formatting issues. There were letters missing all over the shop which made it borderline unreadable to be honest, but I'm glad I persevered. It did however negatively affect my view of the book.

There were some heavy subject matters addressed within the story (e.g cyberbullying, abortion, parental estrangement) which I wasn't expecting. I do have to say that one in particular was entirely a box ticking exercise. Dylan's bisexuality didn't feature in or add to the story at all so was an odd choice.
I also really wanted way more descriptions of the stunning destinations they visited (Australia, Mexico and Morocco, to name a few) - this would have balanced out the more somber plot points.
Overall, I did enjoy this book, it just made me work a bit harder than I wanted to!

This book is so clever the way it connects travelling, with potential romance (following a nightclub make out!) and work drama.

Jack was obviously my favourite character as he is just such a cutie and his personal growth was great to read about in this book. I have no clue which trope this book most represents because there are so many.

This is the first book in this month for the romance readathon but I think we are going to struggle to top this and I need to read more by Elle Everhart asap!

Holy moly, Dylan was one lucky lady to win the incredible trip around the world. I was very envious when reading about the destinations and all the fun they got up to, never mind the fact that she did it in the company of hot Jack the posho. It was a fun premise for the book and it was great seeing them get to know each other slowly. I liked jack’s character- calm and measured, everything Dylan wasn’t!

I loved this book, second chance romance enemies to lovers navigating the world together after one wins a radio contest and has to take a random contact from their phone. Not only does it have a plot but it also has the cutest dates and excursions. The characters have such good development, both within themselves and their own confidence but also with each other and the trust between them.

I wanted to be there exploring and experiencing the whole story alongside them

3.5 stars rounded up because while I have issues with it, I enjoyed the reading experience.

After winning a round-the-world trip in a radio contest, struggling magazine writer Dylan is forced to travel with Jack 'the posho', a man she met at a club. Polar opposites, Dylan is chaotic and free-spirited, while Jack is more of a planner and contained in personality.

There's a lot of wit, banter and heart to Dylan, whose boss is pressuring her to write up their trip as a potential 'second chance romance', in order to get a promotion writing more meatier articles. Meanwhile Jack is nursing his own reasons for leaping on the opportunity to go on the trip.

Refreshingly, Everhart doesn't drag out the drama regarding Dylan's bosses demands involving Jack with no predictable and cliche third act breakup. However I would've really liked more character development time for Jack and his family issues. Also Dylan's issues was handled a bit clunkily with missed opportunities for the emotinal beats to really land. It just felt like Dylan's life, being queer, writing about her abortion, etc and her family's reaction thrown in with a resolution that fizzled. I would've also preferred the bond to develop between Jack and Dylan slowly over each destination instead of it happening fairly early on on their first stop and then breezing through other destinations. Perhaps what was needed was less stops or really worked those stops in more as the backdrop to their personal and joint growth?

A promising debut that made me instantly jump onto a travel website to see what round-the-world ticket deals I could find. I look forward to Everhart's next book.

Thanks to Michael Joseph, Random House and NetGalley for the ARC.

Unreadable! I didn’t even get to finish the first chapter, as each sentence contains several words which are missing several letters, thus leaving the reader the responsibility of trying to work out what the word was supposed to be. I don’t understand how this can be put into the world like this, as you don’t even need a proof reader to see these colossal errors

Beyond excited for this beautiful Wanderlust read by Elle Everhart! I will be sharing my full review and thoughts very soon due to an unexpected illness but I just wanted to share how happy I am to acquire this and share with readers. Alot of us are unable to travel due to different circumstances health or financial or whatever but it is so nice to know that we can always travel in the world of books. I also love that it is a love story as well.

Elle brings us a lighthearted yet thought provoking read.

Dylan enters a competition which with a catch has to include someone from her contacts list, enter Jack her ‘one night stand’ this to met felt like a really unique set up which I think played out well, yes it may be predictable but I still was hanging on to the will they won’t they moments.

The other aspect of the book was some underlying topics that I think was handled well to not feel too heavy but enough to make me step back think. I am a cryer and there was some moments I was a little teary eyed.

The let down for me on this one was the traveling part of the story, although some places were mentioned but to me it felt like they wizzed thought destinations and I wasn’t able to get a feel of those places. I felt that this was meant to have been a big part of the storyline however may have just missed it a little.

I really did enjoy the relationship between Dylan and Jack, both entering in to the situation with their own ‘issues’ and discovering things about each other.

Thank you to NetGalley for the download.

A perfect travelling companion!
Such a fun holiday read, the perfect companion whether you're off on a round-the-world adventure
or just to the lounger in the backyard. A great cast of characters take you on a fabulous trip to some
of the most glamorous destinations, yet the real highlight of the journey is the chemistry between
Jack and Dylan and how they navigate both familial expectations and disappointments, and what it
means to live well and authentically amidst the pressures of social media. At turns romantic, witty,
sensitive and thought-provoking, this is a great read to escape in to.

I found Wanderlust to be a pleasant enough tale with nice characters. I was intrigued by the synopsis but can’t say the book really captured my imagination. I wanted to see how the plot played out but found some parts predictable. Thank you to NetGalley, Michael Joseph Penguin Random House and the author for the chance to review.
