This is a cute new version of Old MacDonald that my daughter loved! Great illustrations and I love an interactive book that the kids can jump in and "read along". This is definitely a book I will be buying for home and for a few classrooms at my preschool! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

Youngsters will enjoy the retelling of Old McDonald if this book is read aloud to them. The story is funny and the illustrations are engaging.

At first, I was confused why it's a sing along book. But then, I understood as the hungry crocodile came to Old McDonald's farm. As he counted the animals and getting more hungry each time, then he found something else. It's a funny interpretation of the nursery rhymes song and it sticks better when there's a story behind.

Books that play with familiar song lyrics general go over well with young kids, especially if you subvert their expectations. The joke may not fully land with quite small children but its still a pretty fun read.

Super cute! My toddler and preschooler had a great time "singing" this book with me. The pictures were great and everything ended with a wonderfully silly ending.

Croc-a-doodle-doo! was my youngest grandson's pick for a story before bed. He has a habit of picking books that ramp him up, not settle him down. This is a fun story that is a spin off the song, "Old MacDonald Had a Farm". In this book there is a crocodile on the farm, so every time we sing about an animal, the croc is there with a snap, snap, here. Of course we sang the story and my grandson had his arms going with the snapping jaws of the crocodile. Fortunately, the animals are not eaten in this one. It is a simple book with humour and fun. The illustrations were wonderful. They were large, whimsical and full of emotion. I know that we will be reading this one again. It is just a fun, silly, story and sometimes that is all you need.

Join a hungry crocodile in a hilarious retelling of "Old MacDonald" that features bright, eye-catching artwork by Sebastien Braun. This would make a terrific read/sing-a-long as it encourages listener participation. Snap-snap . . .

This is a really fun, silly and entertaining take on 'Old McDonald Had a Farm'. When a crocodile stumbles across the farm, the hungry animal is quick to mess up the song. But the unexpected discovery of doughnuts saves the day.
All children that are familiar with the traditional song are bound to find this hugely funny but it's also written in a way that anyone not familiar with the song will cotton on quickly and still throughly enjoy the text. The doughnut ending is a genius move, appealing to parents and children alike and even encouraging them to make up their own versions with their own favourite foods. I felt the story should have ended with the doughnut song, rather than the slightly confusing twist at the end. I felt like I wanted the crocodile to stay on the farm and was slightly sad he was driven out as he was such a strong and comic character. Nevertheless, it was great fun and we really enjoyed reading a book that was just silly.

This cute little rendition of Old McDonald Had A Farm with a crocodile instead was super fun and an easy read.

I read it with my daughter, who is 7.5, and she thought all the different voices I used were funny and she thoroughly enjoyed the illustrations too!

Thank you netgalley for the e-ARC.
I read this with my 2 and 3 year old. They thought it was great and kept telling the naughty crocodile off! I will definitely have to get a physical copy of this book for them when it comes out.
This is a re-telling of the Old Macdonald Had a Farm song with a naughty crocodile that wants to eat all the animals.
My two thought it was hilarious that the rooster scared the doughnut away from the crocodile in the end.
I now have to go and this to them another 3 or 4 times - mark of a good book for my kids is how many times they want you to read it before they move on to another one.

The book is visually appealing with beautiful artwork. This is a fun book where kids can sing-a-long to the tune of Old MacDonald Had a Farm with some interruptions by the crocodile. This would be a good book for library story time or a children’s music group where the kids could easily join in to sing part of the story. The book has a cute ending that will make many kids laugh. This book is best suited for children five and under.

Thank you to Quatro Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children’s Books and NetGalley for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley along with the publisher for the eARC! This is a cute remix of Old MacDonald had a Farm with an alligator who is looking for a snack. The crocodile is silly and I think young readers will love seeing the animals, and singing Old MacDonald. There are very cute illustrations in this book as well that makes it very appealing for young readers!

Old McDonald's Farm, but with Crocagators! I wish this book existed when my kids were smaller because they decided telling the difference between crocodiles and alligators was too much so they should all be crocagators so this book!! hahahaha!!! The art was cute my kids would have loved this.

5 stars

This is the perfect book to read with young children in a sing-along to the tune of Old MacDonald Had a Farm - but with a decidedly different spin on the lyrics!

Instead, we have a very mischievous and very hungry crocodile doing the farm tour, and a ton of fun ensues...

A physical copy of this book would probably be best for sharing with kids, but the digital version could also be used for the singing session, at a pinch. 😉

This book is a new spin on a classic, Old McDonald's Farm, that has been combined perfectly with a hungry crocodile that's more interested in eating all the animals on the farm than the song!

I loved the illustrations and the way that the author combined text, fonts, and illustrations together in this beautifully illustrated children's book.

When Crocodile visits Old Macdonald's Farm for a snack, and the farm animals realize they are the snack, the farm animals are not happy. Bright artwork enhances the familiar sing-a-long and will definitely encourage storytime participation, especially the refrain “Snap Snap”, until it becomes something else. I foresee lots of giggles with this one.
