What a fabulous twist to a familiar nursery rhyme, we loved this sing a long story and the illustrations were great too. In the words of my five year “that was really, really, really funny.” I know my nursery class would love this too!
Is a catchy twist on the old McDonald’s farm song. The silly crocodile and fun action sounds kept the attention of both my 3 and 5-year-old boys. The words were not difficult, and the familiarity was charming. Both laughed and it was a good time.
This is such a cute take on old McDonald! This would be great for a story time or a bedtime read! I can’t wait to add it to our collection!
Fun illustrations and a story kids will enjoy. Thank you to NetGalley & Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books, Happy Yak, for providing me the opportunity to review "Croc-a-doodle-doo!” I leave my sincerity review voluntarily.
This books was so fun to read and sing along to with my three year old. The art work is beautiful and eye catching. It got such good giggles with the change in the song. Now she walks around going Snap-snap like she's a crocodile.
This book is such a fun, lighthearted twist on the "Old McDonald" children's tune. We have other farm animal books that include this song, but not quite like this! The illustrations are adorable and eye-catching and my children thought this book was funny and silly. I will definitely be making this book a normal part of our nightly bed-time routine. I look forward to buying a physical copy of this book!
This book is adorable and hilarious! I think this will be a favorite for me and my family. The illustrations are gorgeous. I love the funny twist on a children's classic. I'm excited for when my son is older and he will be able to interact more with it. This is a great book for kids of all ages! I just love this silly book.
My kids LOVED this book! A perfect mix of farm animals, a classic nursery rhym favourite AND of course... without giving to much away - that special treat at the end! I'm sure this will be a very well requested book in the future for bedtimes! Perfect!
This hilarious take on the classic song will have you laughing the whole way through!
Children and adults alike will have a blast singing Old MacDonald, only to be interrupted by a hungry crocodile!
The illustrations were bright and fun and added so much fun to the story.
My child was giggling from start to finish, and the ending was perfect! We will definitely be adding this one to our collection of storybooks!
The biggest croc in the world takes a little trip to Old MacDonald's farm because he is hungry. He wants you to sing with him. He sings the old Macdonald's farm song but adds a snap snap at the end. The animals are not happy with him. But this farm also has doughnuts! Now everyone is happy and Croc gets his fill of doughnuts.
This is a cute twist on an old classic. Even for older littles there is a funny bit that got a few laughs. Fun to read for smaller littles as they can really get into the sounds and make it silly.
This reminds me of another children’s book (Wendy the Wide Mouthed Frog by Sam Lloyd) and it was just as much fun as this one! The fun colors and familiar children’s song make this a fun read along book. The ending will make your kids smile and hungry.I’m
This is a silly and well-drawn storybook for little ones. A chance for lots of extra fun and silliness at bedtime as they are invited to sing along with the book’s humorous take on such a well-known song. Very cute!
This book is delightful. The illustrations are colorful and silly, sure to engage any child. It's a funny take on a song nearly everyone knows. This would make my kids 'read a long' until the little twist of the crocodile's "Snap! Snap!". As a children's librarian, I know that if I read this in story-time I would get a lot of giggles from kids and grown-ups alike. In fact, I'm looking forward to adding this to our collection. Thank you Net Galley and Huw Lewis Jones for the DRC of this charming book.
A different twist on Old McDonald Had a Farm that involves a crocodile. My daughter loved this book with the change in the song. Her favorite part was how the crocodile ran away from the rooster at the end of the book!. The colorful pages and how the words floated around the pages made it a magical book to read.
Such a fun book. We really loved the different take on Old McDonald. My daughter wanted to read it again and again and she even tried reading it herself as it was easy for her to remember.
Definitely a new book to add to our collection.
This is a great way to get children to interact with the book. This will have everyone singing along to the tune of Old McDonald and laughing. I read this with my five year old granddaughter and we both loved it. We sang and laughed that a Crocodile was on the farm. The illustrations are colorful and eye-catching, but the story feels pointless. It's silly just for the sake of being silly, not in a clever way. However, I can see it appealing to some very young children.
As a teacher, I might pull this book to read just for fun at the end of the day. It could also be used to introduce the /sn/ blend.
Very cute! Perfect for young readers, the colors are so fun and the art is really exciting. This would be a great book to read at bedtime, it’s a fun one!
This book was so much fun to read with my daughter! The familiar Old MacDonald Song lulls you in with the sudden snap snap of a gator breaking the familiarity and giving us a ton to laugh about. This is sure to be a family favorite!
