Croc-a-doodle-doo! is a fun new take on a Classic kids song that everyone is sure to love. Filled with colorful, engaging imagery, funny side characters, and ending with a yummy treat, this is the perfect book for Circle time for kids aged 2-6.
I really like this take on Old McDonald had a Farm. The illustrations were good and colorful great for younger children. I would recommend this book to my local library, family and friends with small children.
Even though I prefer cute stories when it comes to children's illustrated books, I do enjoy the quirkiness sometimes. Unfortunately, this one didn't cut it. Visually, the images are too garish, the text is mostly songs and noises. So the adult reader is expected to perform instead of just telling. It's an interactive concept that requires a lot more theatrical qualities than a regular children's book. If you enjoy putting on a big show with your kids, I'm sure you'll have a blast acting this one out.

Ah...where to start. I chose to read this because I thought it might be cute, but I just don't think this is it. This was weird, like you just inserted a crocodile into the Old McDonald Song to have it there. Having lived on a farm a lot of my life, this feels like it was created by someone who hasn't lived on, or spent much time on, a farm. The constant song interruptions were annoying -- IDK. Cute illustrations, but that's it.

This book was a fun play on the song "Old MacDonald". The Crocodile is hungry for a snack, as he looks around the farm to see what he might want to eat he sings the song with the readers, starting with a cow. First there's a "moo moo here" but it ends with a SNAP SNAP. the farm animals have to remind Crocodile that snapping is not a part of the song and they are not a snack.
This book is good for bringing forward a book and song children are already familiar with and adding a twist, this typically inspires easy engagement and much fun to keep going past the book itself. Lyrically easy to follow along, and promotes recognition of familiar lyrics as well as animals. A fun and easy read for kids and reading groups. would recommend to library programs and daycare settings in which circle time takes part.
What I loved about this book was the interactive and silly animal and crocodile moments and the words of sounds of each animal in the pages and it was bright and colorful and inviting illustrations this book would a be a great book to read to a group of kids in setting at school , church or library.
The things that I felt made it come across more less appealing was the not as original feel of Old Mac Donald’s song and it felt like too many animals and too many snap snap reactions of the crocodile
I read this book with my daughter.
I did enjoy the illustrations and the bright colors.
Personally, I feel like there wasn’t much to it. It basically consisted of the Old McDonald song with slight twists (croc going “snap-snap”). It doesn’t bring anything that is super original. Just a crocodile that wants to ruin the song because he’s hungry.
This one was just okay.
