I thoroughly enjoyed this book, a holiday read which ticked all the usual boxes, including some romantic (and at times sexy) scenes between Archie and Summer. They make a great couple, and their journey is full of the twists and turns I so enjoy in a romantic novel. The author shared well-written details about the setting which meant I could visualise the various scenes. I thought some of the relationship advice which the groom, Logan, gave Archie was excellent! The ending seemed a little incongrous; my preference would have been an update of 4 years time rather than 40. A great read overall.

If there is one thing about me, it's I LIVE for the pining between two characters. This book was so fun and actually LOL funny. I read it in one day and enjoyed the whole thing. I liked both characters and really enjoyed the authors writing style.

Good wrap-up story for the three best friends. Very insta-love, but cute. The thing I liked least is how Winter's personality didn't match the character we met in book 2. Quick romance read.

Finished this gem on the road today. This series has been great! I loved that Summer got her redemption and Archie got a woman. The wedding “date” premise was fun, especially all the glimpses of Winter/Logan and Lana/Christian. This was a great mix of sweet and spicy that I didn’t want to put down!

Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Camilla Isley for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this next story in the series where it’s time for summer to find love! There were moments I laughed, there were moments I felt emotional and overall I enjoyed it. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other two books by Camilla but maybe because this was more of a continuation of Love Quest as opposed to a completely separate book but overall I still really enjoyed it and finished it in less than 2 days!

I really wanted to like The Love Proposal but in truth, I didn't finish this one. I found little connection to or reason to like either Summer or Archie, and their chemistry wasn't really evident to me. I also hadn't realized when I started this one that it was well into a series. It would have been nice for it to work as a standalone but there were too many confusing references to the previous books (which I have not read) for that to really work. I like the concept of this one and really wanted to love it but it just fell really flat for me.

💫3.5/5 |🌶️ 2/5 | Friends with Benefits | Best Man x Bridesmaid | Dual POV | Redemption Story | Set in Napa

** I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley. My review and opinions are solely my own and given freely. ** This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

This was a fun read! The is a redemption story for our FMC Summer who became a social pariah after having an affair with her best friend’s boyfriend. Summer’s twin Winter is getting married in Napa and unfortunately, they used to run in the same social circle – which means she dreads the weeklong festivities leading up to the wedding and is doing what she can to fly under the radar and go unnoticed as much as possible. As she arrives at the hotel, Summer meets best man Archie who is known to be a playboy and they have a great conversation over burgers and beer. Summer ends up agreeing to be with Archie for the week, no strings attached, to help get through the events and awkwardness (secretly) until they start to form a deeper connection.

Summer’s journey was very interesting! She had to learn a lot about accepting what she had done in the past and stop punishing herself for her actions. She learned how to speak up for herself and express her guilt to Lana (her best friend) for what she had done. I liked how she was in some ways very self-aware of her standing within her former social circles and how she didn’t make excuses for her actions.

I loved Archie’s character in this book. He was deemed to be the playboy who never thought he would want to settle down or have kids. But as they say, it only takes 1 person – the right one to come into your life to change perspectives. Despite his bad boy reputation, Archie was VERY attentive, a great listener, upfront and a gentleman. He never gave Summer any judgement for her past just friendship.

The chemistry between the MCs was palpable. It was instant. The flirting was hilarious since they were only secretly seeing each other. The Acro-Yoga sessions were hilarious and sexy! The part I loved the most was the easiness of them being together, like they were meant to be. The epilogue, which was years and years later, was the most adorable thing I’ve ever read! This is a great read to get you out of a slump!

After being introduced to Summer in The Love Theorem and The Love Quest, I was a little hesitant about this one. But I'm a firm believer that everyone deserves a second chance and took the plunge...

Let me say, when it's mentioned that Winter turned into a Bridezilla, that's an absolute understatement! She essentially becomes Bridezilla and Monster-in-Law all in one, and I was completely appalled by her behavior. And to add the cherry on top, their mother is the hyper critical "supportive" parent.

I actually felt sorry for Summer and desperately wanted to put her foot down and pack her bags.

In the end, Summer finds her voice with the help of Archie, though Archie has his own struggles too, but I'm happy for them!

I did not realize this book was part of a series before reading. By reading previous books, I might have had a stronger connection to some of the characters and their back stories, but I still enjoyed it even reading as a stand alone. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching their week transpire. It was refreshing to see Summer deal with a fall out from the past as she worked to deal with a mistake previously made. I imagine I would have learned more about her past in previous books, but thought it was an interesting take to see things from her side. Archie was a fun character to help build her confidence. The Love Proposal was a quick, easy, entertaining read - a good choice for fans of insta-love!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for an ARC in exchange for a review!

The Love Proposal was a fast-paced romance that left the readers wanting more. I really liked this romance! It features Winter and Archie at Summer and Logan's wedding as Winter tries to grapple with her exemplary past and Archie is trying to have a quick wedding fling. Both characters confront how their past is holding them back and grow in the book. I think that Winter is a more nuanced female main character than many romances allow, and I appreciate that fact. It is stated up front she wants kids and discusses men taking a break from work to help raise kids instead of just the woman. Not always how it goes in the romance world!

While, I am not a fan of Winter's past, I think we excuse everything for a male lead and like to see a female lead that is not perfect. I think the end was a little rushed and we could've had a little more there. The epilogue was cute but honestly I wanted to see more of the couple right after the wedding.

I did not know there were more books to this series when I started, but I am definitely interested in reading them.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood books for the ARC for my honest opinion. I hate to do this, but it was a DNF halfway through. I didn't realize this was book 6 in a series (which I hadn't read any of the other books), so it was really hard for me to connect with the characters or feel swoony.

This was book #6 in Camilla Isley's series and honestly I think it was my favorite book! I finished book #5 feeling as though I absolutely needed more from Archie's character and that in some scenes he definitely stole the show, and Camilla 100% delivered! I loved the bad boy meets good girl romance, hiding from their family, and even the 3rd act break up! Their characters were written so well, and Summer's character was so well written! Summer dealt with the blow back from her poor mistake that she made in book #4 so well, and I feel like it showed such exponential growth for her emotionally. Seeing Archie picture his future with Summer was so touching, it's what every person wants to see happen and feel with their significant other. This book was wonderful all the way down tot he HEA, or should I say HFN.

i did not know this was part of a series, and perhaps i should have looked into that before reading but was simply too excited to begin that i didn't bother.

with that in mind, i can honestly say i enjoyed the book. it was a nice, quick read with a conflict that was quickly resolved (i personally hate when the third act breakups take up too much time).

i wish we had gotten to know summer and archie more as characters, but perhaps that happens in the previous books and i just missed out? either way, i do wish the book was a little longer. i feel like sinking our teeth more deeply into who they are alone would have made their connection more impactful to me as a reader.

all in all, it was a decent read and i will definitely be checking out the other books from the series to get a better picture of the universe these characters live in and hopefully gain more insight on them!

Dnf after 43 %. Unfortunately this book was not for me. I had a hard time to keep up reading this one and almost after half of the book I couldn't keep going. This wasn't my cup of tea, unfortunately.

I read Love Quest and A Love Proposal back-to-back. These were my first books by Camilla Isley, even though I’ve purchased a large number from Chirp audio sales (which, it turns out, includes these two under their original titles). I’m not sure how I kept those books in my library unlistened to for so long, because reading these two as ARCs - fantastic experiences and I plowed through them both in a single day! They were fantastic!

I really enjoyed the two completely different storylines but that they were so interconnected, featuring twins (identical) Winter and Summer, and best friends Logan and Archie. This book, A Love Proposal, is Winter and Logan’s wedding, when the other pair meets and fall into a week-long destination wedding no-strings fling. Summer has an interesting past, and Archie is a confirmed no-commitment bachelor, so it’s a good matchup so they can both get what they need.

I highly recommend picking these two up, and while I haven’t read any of her other books, these two should be read together (I would have been a bit lost reading this one without Love Quest first). I plan to go back to the rest of the series, which I discovered I do own, right away!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books, and this is my honest feedback.

The Love Proposal is the 6th book in the First Comes Love series. It is a fun addition to see Summer and Archie’s love story. If you like instant attraction this is for you.

Summer Knowles does not want a boyfriend. Relationships have caused enough problems in her life. As bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding, she’s going to avoid all things romantic – especially the brawny, hipster best-man who has commitment-phobe written all over him!

When Archie Hill meets Summer, he immediately thinks bridesmaid-and-best-man-with-benefits! They have one week together and may as well make the most of it. But what if one week just isn’t enough…

As wedding fever takes hold, can a sworn-off-men bridesmaid and a die-hard bachelor learn a thing or two about happy-ever-after?

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series (the first was my favorite) and wondered how they were going to redeem Summer, who had the affair with her best friend's boyfriend in book 1. This book doesn't really set out to redeem Summer, it just explains why it happened and doesn't give her any type of pass for what she did. That was really refreshing to me. Archie is just as great in this book as he was in Winter's book. I knew I was going to love a book about him and I really did - he is a great hero. While a solid addition to the series, it didn't hit me as well as the first two, so four stars. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced ARC.

Archie’s story!

Summer Knowles knows that going her twin sister’s wedding will be difficult after everything that has happened and needing to avoid some other guests. But her plans went out the window when the best man Archie Hill suggests a friends-with-benefits during the wedding celebrations to keep her mind off dealing with the fallout of her choices.

Archie Hill is going to be the best man for Logan and Winter’s wedding (Love Quest by Camilla Isley) but there was something about Summer that kept him coming back to her.

I think reading Love Quest first would help to understand the distance between Summer and some of the guests but then there is Archie who is a serial dater finding the one person he can’t get out of his mind.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3,5* Another lovely romance by Camilla Isley.
Please note, this book was previously published as "You May Kiss the Bridesmaid".

This book take place soon after the previous one left us: Winter and Logan are getting married and Summer, Winter twin sister is a bridesmade.
After struggling for Lana and Winter forgiveness, having stolen Lana's boyfriend in The love theorem, she has to stand in the spotlight with friends and family at her sister's week long wedding celebrations in Napa.
What's best than looking for some respite from reality in the arms of the handsome best man and Logan's best friend?

Having previously read The Love theorem and Love quest, Summer came with a lot of baggage and preconception, we do get her version of the facts, the how and the why, her sentimental history, etc... but I still really did struggle between seeing her point of view and what came from her previous actions. (Even if all's well what ends well)
I feel I like her in this book and I can empathize with her, but I still feel like something is off.
This is the main reason I'll not round my rating to four stars.
However she and Archie do make a good couple and there's plenty of nice and funny scene with a side of super chemical reaction betweek them.
I also like Archie, even if he seems a little too naive and his life decisions feel a little rushed.
Tucker and Penny side story is also lovely and I wished we did get more insight.
Last but not least, I love every time we get a bit of Mark(the airport bartender) and how the stories interwine when including him.

In conclusion: if you're familiar with Camilla Isley style and you like it this is a book for you, if are reading this story as a standalone without the previous one, you'll enjoy it, if you did read the previous one you might still be interested in reading this one because you get addicted to the characters!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing this book as and Arc in exchange of an honest review.

It's just okay. I enjoyed it, but not as much as Winter's or Lana's story. I'm intrigued with the next concept in the series though.
