Summer Knowles wants to stay single forever after an extremely unpleasant experience in the past that almost cost her the affection of her best friend and sister. But then she meets Archie Hill at her sister's wedding and isn't sure if friends-with-benefits for a week is all she wants from him ... neither is he ... This is a cute Rom Com with lots of funny moments and lovable characters. A perfect summer read.

I only just discovered Camilla Isley and this series and I have devoured 3 books in 2 weeks. This one had a slightly slower start than The Love Theorem and Love Quest but once I got 1/3 the way in, I was wholly invested. I loved Summer's arc, how she handled facing the music, and I loved seeing Archie's truer self. All set in gorgeous Napa Valley (a vicarious return to a part of CA that I love).

Summer and Archie met as bridesmaid and best man. She doesn't want a romance and he doesn't want anything long-termed.

The characters are sassy and smart. I do not like Summer in The Love Theorem because she is the 'bad' character there but she redeems herself here. Love their chemistry together. Their banter is LOL. A fun and romantic read.. Made me laugh and swoon.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Summer is deemed as the evil twin following an affair with her beat friends husband. She now has to face the ghosts of her pasts along with judgemental looks and comments from ex friends and family, due to her twins wedding. Archie is a handsome modern day Indian Jones with no plans of settling down and is the best man. At least he has Summer to keep things interesting but will he leave another woman in the dust?
Whilst I enjoyed the writing and Summers story of self redemption, I did find it hard to relate to her due to her past indiscretions. Admittedly, I haven't read a romance book where this has occurred. I liked that Summer seeks redemption so she can love and having a HEA . The epilogue was a lovely touch and will look out for other books written by this author.

Oh Archie how I do love you! Once again I flew through this fab easy summer read and enjoyed every minute! It was great to see Summer from a different angle after her sordid past a well! This was such a fun read!

Two things that turned me off this book:
- MMC gives out douchebag vibes - he is adamant at letting readers know over and over that he has had lots of sex the night before.
- FMC has had an affair with one of her best friend's boyfriend. I don't know the circumstances, but major ick within the first three chapters is enough to make me stop reading this book.

Thank you to the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

A big thanks to author Camilla, publisher and netgally for letting me read and review this book. This was my 2nd read by Camilla.
I enjoyed every moment of the love propsel. The references to movies, TV shows and songs were a wonderful addition and I like how the author does this in her writing.
I loved all the characters. A great read and recommend to romance book lovers.

Summer has done the unthinkable and had an affair with her best friend's boyfriend. Because of that she has lost most of her friends, her relationship with her family has suffered and she has sworn off men. Now she has to face a week of wedding celebration with her family and ex-friends because her twin sister is getting married. And there is Archie, the best man, who offers to distract her from her problems...
I loved this book. It was entertaining, fast-paced and full of relatable characters. Since I haven't read any other books in the series (yet) I felt for Summer and found her twin to be a bit annoying at times. I guess if you have already read Winter's and Lana's stories you might feel otherwise. Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely check out the rest of the series.

The Love Proposal by Camilla Isley
This is part of the First Comes Love series. You can read it as a standalone, but there will be major spoilers for the previous books.

A week long fling. Healing from their pasts. Finding something real.

Summer has had rocky relationships and is certain she should swear off all men. That is, until she meets Archie at her sister’s wedding. She’s a bridesmaid, he’s the best man. Archie has never been into committed relationships and when he meets Summer, he immediately proposes a friends with benefits arrangement for the week while they endure wedding festivities neither of them are looking forward to. As the week progresses, so do their feelings. Will they get over their issues and want a real shot at a relationship? Or will this arrangement crash and burn?

I absolutely loved Archie in Love Quest and was so excited for his story. For obvious reasons, I was not the biggest Summer fan in the beginning, but I loved her character development and story. I am glad she was able to earn Lana’s forgiveness and become closer with Winter.

Also, Winter and Logan’s wedding was so dreamy! This is the best part about interconnected series, when we get to interact with previous characters and see their happiness and struggles.

I am not the biggest fan of insta-love tropes and a week feels like too little time for these two characters to fall in love, but the story was still enjoyable.

This was pretty cute! It was an interconnected standalone with the previous book I read called Love Quest. This one features the grooms best friend Archie and the brides twin sister Summer falling for each other over the course of the the weeklong wedding festivities. I’ve enjoyed all of the books I’ve read from this author! They are fun rom-coms and easy reads with likable characters. I will post a review on Amazon and my instagram on release day :)

Thank you NetGalley for gifting me a copy of this book.

I loved the premises of it but as soon as it started I knew it wouldn’t be for me. I don’t know if it’s the writing or the story in itself but I wasn’t really attached to the characters and I found that some elements of the story were not to my liking: I don’t understand the purpose of the first chapter for example. Yes it is mentioned throughout the book but as it was the first thing I knew when entering the book I thought there would be something more meaningful to it?

I would still rate it 2.5 stars as I found it average.

Quick easy rom com that takes some predictable plot points and adds a few different angles.
This is number 3 in the series and could be read as a stand alone but is much better in order so you understand the characters.
Our mc Summer had a secret relationship with her best friend’s boyfriend which got busted so she is essentially the villain of the first book. This story follows Summer as she deals with the consequences of her actions at her sister’s wedding.
This is the first book I’ve read that follows the fall out from cheating and I think it was a great angle to follow. It was good to see another perspective I just wanted a bit more.
I just found the romance part a bit strange. Good hearted rake falls for girl for the first time. Archie basically hooks up with Summer the same day he woke up with a different girl. It just didn’t sit right with me.
Despite this I still enjoyed the read but it’s my least favourite in the series.

This was definitely a super sweet book and I love our main girl, but the storyline wasn't super unique and kind of forgettable and some of the dialogue felt weird at times. Overall, still a quick, cute read.

Summer is still working through the fallout from stealing her friend Lana's boyfriend, even though they are no longer together and Lana has forgiven her. She is at her twin's wedding week and doesn't know how she will survive. Enter Archie, the groom's best friend. He offers a no-strings week arrangement to keep her mind off all her troubles.

This is the third book in this series and I have loved all three books! I was skeptical of this one before I read it because I was determined to hate Summer after what she did. But, I loved Summer after just a few chapters. She has made a lot of growth over the series and her reasoning for entering the relationship with Lana's boyfriend, while wrong, made sense to her at the time. I adored Archie in the second book and still do. The "falling in love" parts always happen fast in this series, but you enjoy it as it happens.

I highly recommend this series and definitely in order!

I love a good redemption story, & Summer’s was amazing! She & Archie have the sweetest relationship & I love them so freaking much! Summer takes refuge in Archie during her sisters wedding week festivities because she’s nervous & embarrassed about everyone knowing her past mistakes. And Archie offers her no harsh judgment, but only friendship & some fun. I loved how these two developed their relationship, becoming good friends & eventually acknowledging their deeper feelings for one another. They both deserved the love & friendship the other gave.

I didn’t love Winter’s interference at the 3/4 mark that resulted in the break up, but I understood why it was needed to get Archie & Summer to have a deep, honest conversation about what they wanted. But I did LOVE how they come back together!!! They both deserved their happy ending, & I absolutely loved Summer’s redemption story here, showing that even when we mess up, we need to own it, apologize, and move on (especially when the people we’ve hurt have forgiven us) because we all still deserve our happily ever after.

thank you for the ARC!!!

This is the sixth book in the First Come Love series but can be read as a stand-alone. It follows the events of Summer and Archie, introduced in the previous novel. It is the story of the rapid (perhaps too fast, considering that we are talking about days) transformation of lust into love. As cute and fun as the plot is, the two main characters lack inner growth and depth (e.g. Archie goes from commitment phobia to love in the blink of an eye). Summer's character didn't particularly engage me.

Summer has had horrible luck with men and is taking a break from dating.  Archie is a renowned bachlor only looking for fun.  When they meet at Summer's sister's wedding sparks fly but do they have long-term term potential?

Summer was the "villain" in The Love Theorem after sleeping with her best friend's boyfriend. I love a redemption story, and I was interested to see how this would play out.  This book is the perfect mixture of forgiveness and atonement that makes you fall in love with her.  While I don't agree with her actions (and neither does she), I dont feel like one action should define a person forever.  She showed growth and was therefore open to her own happiness. Her and Archie seem like an unlikely duo at first, but their chemistry is undeniable. The pace was good in the beginning but seemed a bit rushed at the end since they jumped right into "I love yous."  Overall, this was a nice addition to the series, and I ended up loving Summer and her story.

The author does another amazing job bringing a great read while introducing her well developed and engaging characters. The storyline flowed easily from beginning to the end.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed reading this book. Even though I really hated Summer in book one. But she seems to have learned that her cheating with her best friend's ex has been a really shitty move. But yeah...now they are meeting to celebrate Winter's wedding. And oh, it's gonna be a ride. Because our Bridesmaid Summer meets the best man Archie. And both decide to have a thing going on. And ohh... they are in for a wild ride.
The book was really fun and fast-paced. I really loved it.
