Three Sisters was a fun, twisted book to read. I enjoyed all three POV’s and I thought the plot was very unique, also. Oh was unable to predict anything so that was another bonus.
This was my first time reading anything by this author. Looking forward to reading more of her work in the future.
This is an excellent story and my first experience of this author. I look forward to reading more of his work. It was a page turner right to the end, and had a twist which was a great bonus. Thanks so much for copy copy.

In this psychological thriller, the Kennedy sisters experience a train of unfortunate events when they meet Lewis Stone, leaving one of them dead, one of them fighting for their marriage, and one of them out for revenge.

I really really wanted to like this book. But I unfortunately I was very close to DNFing the book. The plot is slow and mostly predictable. The multiple POVs were tough to understand, it would have benefitted from character names at the beginning of a chapter. Sometimes I wouldn't get who were reading about until the middle of a chapter. They would also switch POV mid chapter. Unfortunately it just wasn't captivating enough for me.
***I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you to the author/publishing company and netgalley for this opportunity!
When a woman is fatally injured in a car accident and the driver walks away free, one of her sisters doesn’t think this is fair and sets out for revenge. The driver is a successful head of a large brand about to go global and he has it all in the eyes of some- the big house and the lifestyle, little realising that Lewis spends every waking minute thinking about what happened. Sam is determined that the balance should be put right, whilst the other sister Alex is clinging on to her marriage for dear life.
Chapters are written from various characters' points of view, often in the same chapter which is something new for me and took a little getting used to. It’s a descriptive book and in parts a gritty read that is well executed so the reader is at the heart of the unfolding drama. This took me a while to get into due to the multifaceted approach. A captivating rollercoaster of a read, with unexpected twists in a rather unique style.
It took me a while to get into the book but I really ended up enjoying it ! It wasnt a book i felt i couldn't put down and that made it hard to pick it up and finish it at times.
The book did however give multiple different perspectives after a terrible event and I could relate to every last one of them. Alongside the tragedy the characters already had hard situations happening in their lives and the terrible event just piled on. This made the book relatable for sure !
This book took a crazy turn. I was not expecting each POVs story to unfold the way it did.
The author did a fabulous job explaining the emotions and thoughts following tragedy. I heart really felt for those girls and Lewis.
Maybe I’m just not use to the writing style, but I wasn’t a fan of how each POV was delivered. They were all in the same chapter with almost no indication of which character you were reading about. I felt a little whiplash.
Again, despite the writing style, the message and thrill were definitely delivered by the last couple chapters. I was pretty shocked.
This was such a fun read! Three Sisters will leave you questioning everything you read. It’s such a fun read and immensely suspicious!
The Kennedy sisters meet a man and chaos ensues. This talented author has written a page turner. Realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review.
"Three Sisters" by O. J. Mullen presents a gripping tale of family, love, and revenge. The Kennedy sisters, Molly, Alex, and Sam, have a cherished Christmas tradition of spending a night out together. Meanwhile, Lewis Stone, an executive who dreads his work Christmas party, crosses paths with the sisters, setting off a chain of events that entangles them all.
As the story unfolds, one sister finds herself fighting for her life, while another struggles to save her marriage. The third sister, fuelled by a thirst for revenge, becomes a force to be reckoned with. O. J. Mullen weaves a suspenseful narrative, exploring the complex dynamics between the characters and the consequences of their choices.
"Three Sisters" is a captivating novel that immerses readers in a web of intrigue and emotional turmoil. It keeps readers on the edge of their seats, eagerly turning the pages to discover the ultimate outcome of the Kennedy sisters' journey.
This was a very unique thriller which had me gripped all the characters where well written
Lewis attends his work Christmas party and leaves as soon as he can.
Then a chance encounter with the Kennedy Sisters, Molly, Alex, and Sam who are out bar hopping as their usual Christmas tradition sets off a chain of events that alters all of their lives.
This was a gritty emotional thriller. With a ending I really didn’t see coming. Fantastic I highly recommend this.
Whoa the ending! This book was just a sad story really about three sisters and grief. One dies, one has mental breakdowns, and the other is hell bent on making the driver of the car pay. It felt a little slow in the middle to me. but boy does the ending make the book!
This book showed the aftermath of a family tragedy in an honest and raw portrayal. The story was interesting and kept me on my toes. Excellent character development throughout. Surprise ending that did not disappoint!!
O.J. Mullen's Three Sisters is a thriller that had me restraining myself from reading the last chapters to find out what really happened.
The plot is laid out well, I never guessed the truth until the end and even then was surprised by who actually committed the crime and may have even gasped when everything played out.
The main characters, sisters Alex, Sam, and Molly are out enjoying a night on the town - or appear to be in the midst of sister passive-aggressive behavior - when there is a tragic car accident involving designer Lewis. No spoilers, but the tag line one lying, one dying, and one hellbent on revenge is absolutely true and what a great line that is - it's what caught my eye originally.
I thought the ending was a bit rushed, but again, I was anxious to find everything out, otherwise it was a great read to enjoy on a rainy weekend.
*I was given this ARC for an honest review by NetGalley and the Publisher*
Three Sisters by Owen Mullen is a psychological thriller that is quite unique. Lewis Stone attends his work Christmas party and leaves as soon as it is acceptable. Meanwhile, the Kennedy Sisters, Molly, Alex, and Sam are out bar hopping as their usual Christmas tradition. A freak encounter between Stone and the Kennedy sisters sets off a chain of events that alters all of their lives.
I loved this book. Honest, gritty, human. We see the side of human nature that comes out following tragedy. The author has a way of portraying the characters so vividly, I felt like I knew them. I could not put this book down. The plot is intricate and totally believable and the ending stunned me. I'm not going to say more, as this is a must read and I do not want to spoil the story.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC. I greatly appreciate it, and I highly recommend this book.
A gripping tale with well written characters.
The end of an evening out for a number of people and in one moment everything changes for all of them.
I did enjoy this read and the ending had a real surprise.
The only downside for me is that i felt it went over the same ground far to many times.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
