Trapped In Ice is the 5th book in the Ice Breaker series. I always love cold case stories and this one was superb.
Madelyn Lake was the star of his high school dreams. There was always something different about her that made her special.
She was in danger, something horribly sinister was all around her, and him being his usual ——— self was the best way to keep her safe.
Smith Sanders had a a alpha male , special forces killer.
After all these years, he’d finally gotten Madelyn Lake in his bed. And all he wanted to do? Protect her. Eliminate every threat.
With the help of some Ice Breaker friends he’s going to new and old the race is on.
“Oooh. Scared. Oh, wait, I’m not.”
Character interaction is so good you just can’t help but fall in love with this group. Shocking secrets are revealed and a HEA that will make you melt.
Madelyn has been living in fear for years. As a teen she was kidnapped. When she escaped the kidnapper took her best friend and murdered her, forcing Madelyn to listen to her screams over the phone as he killed her. Now it seems he has found her again. Smith has known her for years and has wanted to get close to her. Now he finds out what is going on and vows to protect her. Who is tormenting her. Is it her kidnapper? This book has plenty of suspense, romance and a twist at the end that surprised me. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Years earlier Madelyn and Smith met he was the bad boy at her school and then he disappeared What he didn't know was that Madelyn was kidnapped but managed to escape from someone who it appears was in fact a serial killer. Now they have reconnected by accident Madelyn is an art assessor and Smith well he is ex special forces Soon they have reconnected but someone is after Madelyn and Smith's protective instincts are in overdrive It is related to her past escape and can Smith keep her safe and what will happen when thy discover they have been crushing on one another for years Can they have a future You will have to read to see
Like all of Cynthia's books this is a fast paced fun read that totally engages you and while it is part of a series it can be read as stand alone and I would recommend that you read the entire series In fact there is cross over with the Wilde Boy series so read that one as well you will be glad you did
Trapped In Ice (Ice Breaker Cold Case #5) by Cynthia Eden
I love this series and every book is better than the last one. Madelyn Lake and Smith Sanders have known each other since high school. There is angst, like/dislike, mutual attraction, baggage, fear, kidnapping, murder, guilt, wonderful friend/Ice Breakers, evil, secrets and hot steamy stuff all to get us to a very HEA. I really hope there will be more Ice Breaker Cases.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Informative Romantic Steamy Witty Easy-to-read Great world building Action-packed Wonderful characters Page-turner Haunting Tear-jerker Unpredictable Scary Happily Ever After Tragic Twisted Entertaining. Will review on Amazon, Goodreads, BookBub and B&N.
