When a body is found at the foot of the Angel of the North, it is clear that DI Tom Stonem can forget any plans he had for a quiet Christmas. The killer seems to planning a series of murders, each linked to an item on a child's Christmas list. Now that "1. No angel" has been crossed off, can Tom and his team decipher the list, and stop the killings before it's too late?

The Killer's Christmas List certainly lives up to its premise. I love the idea of an anti-cosy Christmas mystery, and I particularly enjoyed the dark twist on a child's Christmas list. This one includes some grisly scenes, dark humour, and gritty themes, and I liked the way the Christmas setting brings a ticking clock and treacherous weather. I also liked the realistic way the police procedural aspects of this novel are dealt with, as Chris Frost even pokes fun at a few crime fiction clichés. The setting was another draw for me (how could it not be with that cover), and it didn't disappoint.

As in any good murder mystery, the main plot is interwoven with other storylines, and I loved the way The Killer's Christmas List used these to keep me guessing about the identity of the murderer without making the plot too complicated or implausible. The Killer's Christmas List wasn't quite a five-star read for me, as I thought the writing could have been a little stronger in places, and I would have liked to see some of the characters a little more fleshed out, but I was hooked from the very first sentence, and remained so until I reached the very end.

A genius 5 star thrilling, breath taking and jaw dropping read.
Highly recommend, one of my favourite reads this year.
The Killers Christmas List should be on everyone's Christmas list this year who loves a thrilling read.
This is the most thrilling, dark, fast paced count down to Christmas I have ever experienced.
From the very start I was hooked into the world of the police and the killer. Intertwining stories with many layers cleverly written.
Chris Frost has created a genius storyline with characters that add many dimensions to the tangled case that you really wont know how it will untangle and end until the very last pages.
This book had me on the edge of my seat ,completely captivated and not wanting to put it down. I think it's the fastest I have read a book,
I don't want to give anything away but trust me when I say this is a book where Chris Frost has fully delivered a crime thriller masterpiece.
