This wasn't very helpful for me. It's very short and worth reading, I guess, if it doesn't cost anything but I wouldn't pay for this. You can find the same advice in tons of online articles and most of it is useless if you are poor, disabled, have disabled kids and/or can't work 24/7. It's not really realistic advice for 99% of the population.
A wonderful book. Highly recommended. You will enjoy reading it. Written in a very engaging prose. Nowhere would you feel being stuck or bored. Pick it up if you get a chance. Thanks to the author for a review copy.
"Passive Income: How To Earn Money, Even In Your Sleep" by Ryan Rothman provides a comprehensive guide to the elusive concept of generating income effortlessly. Rothman's strength lies in presenting practical strategies for creating passive income streams, catering to both beginners and those looking to expand their financial portfolio.
The book starts on a positive note by demystifying the idea of earning money without constant effort. Rothman offers valuable insights into various passive income avenues, from investments to online businesses, making it accessible to a wide audience. The real-life examples and case studies add a tangible touch, reinforcing the book's credibility.
However, while the book excels in providing a broad overview, some readers may find a lack of in-depth analysis on specific strategies. Rothman's optimistic tone, while motivating, could be seen as oversimplified for readers seeking more nuanced insights into the challenges associated with passive income.
In summary, "Passive Income" by Ryan Rothman is a commendable guide for those interested in venturing into the realm of passive income. Its practical advice and positive approach make it an engaging read for beginners. However, readers looking for a more critical examination of potential pitfalls and a deeper exploration of specific methods may find themselves wanting more from the book.
"Passive Income" by Ryan Rothman is a valuable guide that demystifies the concept of generating passive income streams and offers a roadmap for achieving financial security and freedom. Rothman's personal journey from poverty to millionaire status lends credibility to his insights, making this book an inspiring and practical read for individuals seeking to diversify their income sources.
The book's premise is simple yet powerful: the key to financial success lies in developing multiple streams of income, no matter your current financial situation. Rothman adeptly dismantles the myth that only high-earning executives can achieve substantial annual incomes. He argues that anyone can create smaller streams of income, and these combined efforts can lead to significant financial gains.
What sets this book apart is its emphasis on the concept of passive income – money that continues to flow in even while you sleep. Rothman paints an enticing picture of the peace of mind that comes from having several income sources that can withstand the unexpected disruptions life throws at us. This is particularly relevant in the wake of the 2020 pandemic, which highlighted the vulnerability of relying on a single income stream.
Rothman covers a broad spectrum of passive income sources, from rental income and royalties to affiliate marketing. His clear explanations and real-world examples make the book accessible even to those new to the world of finance. He not only highlights the benefits of passive income but also delves into the potential risks, offering practical strategies to mitigate them.
One of the book's strongest aspects is its step-by-step guide to creating passive income streams. Rothman navigates readers through the process of identifying a niche, developing a product or service, and effectively marketing it. This actionable advice empowers readers to take the first steps towards financial independence with confidence.
However, "Passive Income" does have a few limitations. Some of the information presented may have become outdated due to the rapidly evolving landscape of passive income strategies. Additionally, the book's brevity might leave readers craving more in-depth exploration of certain topics. Despite these minor shortcomings, the book's overall value remains intact.
In summary, "Passive Income" by Ryan Rothman is a compelling read that equips readers with the knowledge and motivation to build multiple streams of income. Rothman's own success story adds authenticity to his advice, making it all the more inspiring. While the book could benefit from more detailed insights and updated information, its accessibility, practical guidance, and emphasis on the power of passive income make it an excellent resource for anyone seeking financial stability and freedom. If you're ready to take control of your financial future, "Passive Income" is an essential addition to your reading list.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC for an honest review.
An interesting insight into making passive income, well-researched with some good ideas.
Passive Income
This is the pinnacle of goals right? Who doesn’t want to make money while they sleep? I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t qualify.
I liked this book. It reviewed a lot of ideas and concept I did already know, but then again, I’ve been looking at this subject for a while.
What the book did, though, is made these ideas seem plausible. Try things, put in the time, build assets.
It’s not what everyone wants to hear, but it’s true, and this showed examples of how.
Solid 3.7!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I feel I was expecting more from this although I have a lot of research in this myself but the book didn’t bring much I wasn’t aware of. Focuses more on the USA than the UK.
This book was clearly well researched, with good warnings and pointers for anyone entering the world of passive income. However, it was very focused on the kinds of money-making schemes which actually require a fair bit of money originally. Like investing, or realestate. While I certainly can't find fault with any of the passive income streams suggested, the introduction suggested that anyone could try these things. And, well, not anyone can buy investment properties or get banks or investors to loan them the money to do so. As such, I felt this book was not universally useful even though it was well written and interesting to read nonetheless.
This was a NetGalley review.
This is an engaging and motivating read that sheds light on the power of diversifying our income sources. With a down-to-earth approach, it offers that financial freedom is within reach for anyone willing to put in the effort and learn the art of passive income, especially if you already have a little financial freedom and are looking for somewhere to invest.
It's a book that has a good variety of passive income streams. It is inspiring and also helps people be aware of the potential risks involved with at least starting to get a passive income. I appreciate that the writer is transparent in that sense. Not too long either so it would be great to recommend to people that are just starting or looking to start creating passive income.
Not what I thought it was going to be, but now I have a better understanding of what passive income is though I don't see myself renting out my car anytime soon.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
This book was okay. It had some good basic information, along with some incorrect information.
I was very excited to read this book and to know more about passive income. I agree with the author when he says that people should have savings. But I was looking forward to new and untapped information. I felt the book's content to be reductant.
Passive Income is useful if you already have an idea of what passive income stream you want to pursue. It gives tips on how to maximize your money and on what to do and what to avoid. If you don't know what you want to do as far as passive income goes, it won't be that helpful. The book is heavy on real estate investing as passive income.
Passive Income is a well-written, informative book for those seeking opportunities to add passive income to their annual salary. The author shares many tips and things to be aware of, including Ponzi and Pyramid (MLM) schemes. While the book offers several ideas for passove income, much of the book did focus on investments and real estate. I would love to see another book devoted to passive income opportunities with lower risk.
This book has a lot of good starting information on how to build different passive income streams, but it seems to focus mainly on real estate which takes a substantial income source to start with.
This book really intrigued me. However, I felt super disappointed with this book.
A lot of the focus was on property and real estate. I was hoping for more diversity in its passive income ways.
Didn't get too much from this book.
I'm in my nonfiction era. And learning about money and finance is a good way to do it.
I wasn't really expecting anything miraculous from this book. I was mainly curious about its approach. And I have to say I liked it. It was interesting to read. It made my brain work and view things another way around.
I will maybe use some of those tips in the future. Who knows? I might become rich, thanks to that book.
I found 'Passive Income' to be a highly educational and inspirational book. This guide is a fairly quick read that explains not only what passive income is, but also many sources that we can consider, with insight into the pitfalls and benefits of each. It has fuelled me with some ideas that I am keen to explore and honestly hadn't considered before. This is a book I will revisit!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.
I actually really like this book it spoke about difference passive income is different ways. You can earn it all though it did feel like if you didn’t already have some type of knowledge that you wouldn’t very much understand the spoke, spoke about some definitions, but I think it didn’t go into a lot more basic than what it should have, and a lot of things were Connor glossed over, and there was no in-depth detail That I was looking for in this book.
But I did like what it did say, and I would recommend for someone who is trying to understand a bit more, but has already a general basis of knowledge
