Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of It's a Date (Again) by Jeneva Rose.

I thought this book was fun if not a little too predictable. I was able to guess who Peyton was in love with very early on but I was happy with that being the result.

I have not read many other amnesia plot books, but I think maybe they aren’t for me. Too much time was spent on the MC’s dates but not enough on development of her character. I ended up having a hard time believing she had so many potential suitors.

Overall this wasn’t super memorable and not likely to be something I recommend.

I am a huge fan of Jeneva Rose! While this was not her normal genre to write in, this book was still good. I really enjoyed the premise of this story. It was a fun, easy, read with enjoyable characters.. You can really feel the emotions that Peyton was experiencing in this book. Though it was a bit predictable it was a fun read when you need a good palette cleanser! I would recommend this book for sure!

This was an enjoyable read. Yes, it's predictable, but it's also a lot of fun. Jeneva Rose is rapidly establishing herself as one of my favorite authors.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the E-ARC

I’ve read and enjoyed a handful of Geneva Roses other books, but I can’t say the same for this.

In the middle of dating numerous men at once, Peyton finally figures it all out. She only loves one man. As she is in her way to tell him while also on the phone with her bestie Maya, she is in an accident that causes her to lose her memory. After waking from her coma, she has 3 men claiming to be her boyfriend. With no memory of any of them, Peyton now has to re-date them all because Maya knew Peyton loved one of them. Will Peyton’s memory come back? Will she figure out who it is she was going to in order to profess her love?

I’m not sure if she was trying to make it obvious who Peyton ended up with in the end, but I had it figured out from the start. It made reading less enjoyable or because I couldn’t connect to all the characters by the end because I knew they weren’t the one she loved. I love a good romance, especially with some spice, and this book was not it for me.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

I love Jeneva Rose. She is an auto buy for me and I have been lucky enough to review all her books. This was another winner for me. Jeneva has such a unique talent for incorporating her humor into books in shock it just translated into a fun ride of a book. You feel like you are hanging out with her, and get to know her more in each story.
This was a departure from her usual thrillers and I have yo say I really enjoyed getting to see more of the fun side of her writing. She was able to be more playful and still keep that hilarious sarcasm that we see on her social media.

This was the first book I read from Jeneva Rose, so while I can't speak to the thrillers she is known for, I thought this was a solid rom-com debut. It seems the amnesia/memory loss trope is having a moment right now, and in this one, Peyton Sanders is running through the streets of Chicago, desperate to tell the man she loves her feelings for him, when she is struck down by a car. When she awakes in the hospital, she no longer has any of her memories, including who the man was she was rushing to meet. When three handsome yet very different strangers show up at her bedside all claiming to be her boyfriend, Peyton's best friends Maya and Robbie step in to organize a "date off" so Peyton can reacquaint herself with the men and figure out which one was her true love. Her options are Tyler, a rugged construction worker, Shawn, a sophisticated professional, and Nash, a shy, creative chef. With the help of her friends and landlord/mother figure Debbie, Peyton reconnects with each man but can't quite picture any of them inspiring her to run through the streets. When she meets the homeless man who inspired her to follow her heart the first time again, the memories fall back into place and Peyton realizes what was in front of her all along. Did I have this one figured out from the jump? Of course I did! Did I care? Absolutely not. This was a fast paced read with all the familiar and comforting rom-com tropes that made it a quick and enjoyable book. I am looking forward to getting to the author's thrillers on my shelves but would also like to see more rom-coms in the future.

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. This was an interesting premise with Peyton having amnesia after an accident and must date 3 men again to figure out who she loves. The story was cute and really enjoyed the friendship between Peyton and Maya. The story was just a bit predictable and I guessed it from the beginning.

I really hate to say this but this was not my favorite Jeneva Rose book. I loved the idea but from the very beginning it did not reach out & grab me. Plus I could see the ending coming, which if you know the author’s other books you’ll know how disappointing that is.

But it is an easy read & if you’re looking for a book that reads like a hallmark movie I definitely recommend this.

This is the perfect romance read for all Bachelor aficionados out there! The main character loses her memory after being hit by a car when on her way to confess her feelings… This sets up the scene for many misunderstandings and an exciting journey to find the man she loves.

Absolutely loved It’s a Date (Again)! I found myself smiling throughout most of the book and loved the relationships between Peyton and the other characters. This is the second book I’ve read by .Jeneva Rose and can say she is a new favorite author!

This was Jeneva Rose's first venture into writing rom-coms and I wasn't disappointed. We meet our main character, Peyton who just realized she loves someone and is rushing to tell him when.... she's hit by a car and loses her memory. Yep...and forgets who she loves. It doesn't help when three men pop up after her injury and all claim to be her boyfriend. Apparently she's been dating all three - - casually - - and they knew about each other so it wasn't sketchy. Yet, she doesn't feel any overwhelming connection with one of them which necessitates that she get to know them all over again with the hope that her feelings will resurface. The men agree to re-dating and Peyton begins the process all over again. What could go wrong? Lots.

This was a cute and sweet book. There were great side characters that truly enriched the storyline and made Peyton feel more like a person you could see as your own friend. Jeneva Rose is a talented author and just proved she's also versatile. I would love to see her write more in this genre.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley, Jeneva Rose and Montlake for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this. I did worry it would be 50 first date like, but it’s totally its own story and it’s perfect in almost every way. The characters are amazing and swoon-y and the best friends were my favourite characters this month hands down.

Jeneva Rose is the queen of catty thrillers, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed - but once I heard she was putting out a romance book, I was incredibly intrigued! Thankfully my intrigue served me right & I was able to read this gem of a book - seriously, it is one of the sweetest, hilarious & heartwarming rom-coms I’ve read to date ❤️

It’s A Date (Again) follows a similar premise of Mama Mia, meets 50 first dates, with added layers of depth & emotional complexity. The witty characters have moments of laugh out loud funny & additional tender moments as well.

The characters are so well done & have such depth, while the premise of the story follows a familiar, yet at the same time different arc with a few things I wouldn’t have seen coming as well.

If you get a chance, please pick up It’s A Date (Again) - you won’t regret it!

*Friends on KU - it’s available there for you!

Jeneva Rose has become a force to be reckoned with in the world of domestic thriller books, so when I heard she was making her first foray into romantic comedy with It’s a Date (Again) I was keen to check it out.

In this book we meet our protagonist Peyton as she has a romantic epiphany and decides to tell the man she has decided is her one true love how she really feels about him. Unfortunately, so preoccupied is she with said revelation that she fails to pay attention to basic road safety and is hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing.

When Peyton wakes up in hospital, she has amnesia and no memory of even the most basic aspects of her life. So when the three men she had been dating all turn up in her room claiming to be the guy she had decided to go exclusive with, she has no idea which one of them she really chose that fateful night.

With the help of her devoted friends Robbie and Maya, Peyton decides to date them all again in the hope that her heart will do the deciding for her. But can she be sure that her epiphany was what she really thought?

This book was a fun, heart-warming read full of the wry humour that makes Rose such a delight to follow on social media. Her chatty prose makes her a natural for the romance genre and all of the characters really came to life on the page.

Granted, there is a certain suspension of disbelief required for the plot to work - perhaps Peyton and the rest of the cast aren’t as concerned as they might be in real life over her traumatic brain injury, for instance - but what are romance books for if not escaping reality for a little while?

Die-hard romance readers also probably won’t have too much trouble recognising early on who Peyton is going to end up with, but I don’t think this detracts from the enjoyment of the book as we wait for her to catch up.

I thought It’s a Date (Again) was a sweet story that will appeal to anyone who loved the movie While You Were Sleeping and is looking for something light-hearted to lift their spirits.

Many thanks to NetGalley and publishers Montlake for an early digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Jeneva Rose, Montlake, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is definitely a different type of genre for Jeneva, but I loved it.

I loved the relationships in this book. Not just romantic relationships, but friendships as well. This book is also funny. The Nickelback scene was my favorite.

This was a cute book with Peyton who who who is it by a car while on a date, however, she is also dating each of the men. Throughout the book Peyton goes on dates from each men that she has already dated. This was a quick read and I did enjoy it. This was pretty predictable, but enjoyed as same.

Hello Jeneva, and welcome to romance writing! I loved that this book still gave us a touch of her mystery background - what happens when you sustain amnesia and forget which o the three guys you were dating you were about to tell you loved?! While the ending was pretty predictable, this was still a really enjoyable audiobook! (Shout out of Kindle Unlimited for providing the audiobook frree through your subscription!)

The romance was more clean than I hoped/ expected, but the romance was still fun to follow. Definitely a good option for someone more curious of entering the romance genre if they are a murder mystery lover.

This book ended exactly how I thought it would however it kept me laughing the entire time. It was the perfect rom-com I could have read. It kept a smile on my face the entire time, I was hooked from the beginning, and I literally laughed out loud so many times I lost count. There was also an important listen throughout, you will always know who you are at your core, it's kinda like a muscle memory. This was my first book my Jeneva Rose and honestly it won't be my last.

Thanks to Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review as always, all words are my own.
