Picture it…you’ve been dating forever…several men in fact. You finally know who you love…then you get hit by a car (of course! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ) and forget who you love…and well, everything else too.

Peyton isn’t going to let a little amnesia stop her from figuring out which of the 3 men is her true love, but she’s going to need a lot of help.

In comes…Maya, Debbie and Robbie. These people are the types of humans you want, π™‰π™€π™€π˜Ώ, in your life. They are so devoted to helping Peyton recover from her TBI, so she can figure out which guy, out of 3 possible suitors, is the one she truly loves.

The writing is on the wall pretty early on in this one but it’s so fun with each turn of the page to see each scene play out. The pacing is perfect and I was totally invested the entire time. It’s the type of book you can read in 1 sitting.

I loved the relationships in this book and how they developed.

Also, if you’ve ever wondered (as I have), why the world seems to hate on Nickelback so bad…Jeneva will clue you in. I never understood it but now I know. Lol. Thanks Jeneva πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

I absolutely recommend this book. It just further proves that Jeneva Rose can write any genre (sorry Scott).

Thank you to NetGalley, the Publishers, and Jeneva Rose for an ARC of It’s a Date [Again]. Jeneva is a woman of many talents. As soon as I saw she had a RomCom coming I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this. All of her books are *chefs kiss*. Okay okay back to the book. This was honestly so heart warming with such a great message. It had everything - laughs, tears, what in the world is going to happen! I loved following Peyton through her amnesia journey to find out which man is the one she loved. The ending just - please go read now!!

This was a fun read and a really interesting idea. I thought Peyton’s memory loss was written well and her emotions surrounding her situation - although she definitely handled it much better than I ever would. I did guess the outcome really early on in the book when Peyton was in the hospital and I worked out a few other things as well, which put a bit of a dampener on the intrigue of the story for me but it was still well written despite the predictability and I enjoyed seeing Peyton navigate her dating life without her memories but also seeing how her friends supported her. Robbie and Maya were great and I have a soft spot for Hank, even though he’s only a very small part. All in all I enjoyed this book!

I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

This book was adorable. I found it to be predictable from the beginning but that didn’t ruin the fun of reading it. I have loved everything Jeneva Rose has written, and this foray into a new genre is no exception! She is so well-rounded and I can’t wait to read more of her books! I highly recommend this for something very different from her others!

This was such a cute, fun book to read. It’s reads quickly and it’s easy to read in a day. I really enjoyed Hank, whom we meet at the very beginning of the book and again at the ends of the book. While not a major character, he provides a lot of insight. Peyton’s two friends that help her after the accident, Maya and Robbie, as well as her friend/landlord Debbie, were my favorite characters. They brought light, laughter, and love to the book, beyond the romantic love. It was so awesome that these three supported Peyton even though she couldn’t remember them! I will say this – the book was a bit predicable. I knew exactly where it was heading very early on in the book, even though Peyton didn’t. I think other readers will be able to predict it as well. But as this is a rom-com, I guess that’s okay. It’s a good, light-hearted read.

This was a good first dive into the romance scene. It was very predictable, but the story was still good and I enjoyed reading even though I knew how it would end. Definitely made me laugh and was a good easy read after finishing a long fantasy novel. I really enjoyed it!

What a fantastic five-star read. I hadn’t read this author before, so wasn’t sure what to expect, and I loved it, it will keep you guessing all the way through, which one should Peyton pick, and in my eyes, she got there in the end and picked the best one. There are some serious moments in the story that will make you think, and some comedic moments that will make you laugh so hard it hurts. There are some great characters in this story, including Debbie and Maya, they all add to the story and just make it a more compelling read.

The story pulled me in pretty quickly and was engrossing enough to start and it was happily the case till the very end. I really enjoyed the ending, although at times it was predictable enough. However, it was fun and entertaining

Peyton has just been in an accident and now has amnesia. But it's ok, her boyfriend is at the hospital to support her. And so is her other boyfriend. And her other one ...

Clever, funny and with an intriguing mystery at the centre, this is an easy and romantic read. Perfect for a lazy afternoon!

This book was so cute, witty, and downright just funny! I love this author. Was it my favorite from her? No. But she’s incredibly talented.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.

This is my third book by Jeneva Rose- but the first rom com! I was pleasantly surprised and now believe she can do it all! I loved this story, the sprinkle of some of my favorite things: the Office, 13 Going on 30..

I was immediately hooked- Peyton just told a man whom told her he loved her that she didn’t love him back. After an encounter with a stranger, Peyton realized she made a mistake. On her way to tell him that she did love him, Peyton was hit by a car- causing her to get amnesia. While in the hospital, 3 men show up claiming to be her bf, her friends help her navigate her memories and dates to try and figure out which man is the one she loved.

I laughed, I was annoyed (I know you had amnesia Peyton but come on!!) and in the end lives how everything tied together!

I devoured this book, I read it in one extended session. It hooked me right away and I could not put it down. I laughed out loud numerous times. Thanks to Maya. I cried multiple times thanks in part to Peyton's friends and Debbie. This is an excellent ROMcom. I completely recommend it.

This is my first foray into books written by Jeneva. I watched her series of Drew overreacts videos on TikTok, and I thought it was cool that she’s a writer. I haven’t gotten around to any of her thrillers yet, but I knew I couldn’t pass up a good rom-com.

Peyton was a fun heroine. If it were me, I probably would’ve focused on myself after the accident she had but damn it was entertaining reading about her trying to figure out which guy she was actually in love with. I enjoyed the side characters as well.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.

In Jeneva Rose’s first foray into romance, β€œIt’s a Date…Again” is a cute story about a girl who has to trust her heart instead of her head in figuring out who she’s meant to be with.

So many components of this story are classic romance tropes (I won’t say which so I don’t give anything away), but the way they are presented make them feel both fresh and comfortable. I won’t lie, I knew exactly who Peyton was supposed to end up with as soon as her guys were introduced, but isn’t that half the fun? I was still excited to see how she was going to figure it out. I also adored the fact that almost every character in this book was likeable…they were good people! Even the heel of the story wasn’t that way through 90% of the book, which I loved. This book had me feeling happy through all the twists and turns which I really enjoyed.

There are small things, however, that made me roll my eyes. The amnesia storyline was a little all over the place…Peyton doesn’t remember who her parents are but remembers what an air fryer is? Eye roll. Peyton mentioning more than once that life’s success is tied to being in a relationship? Small eye roll (I know, this is a romance, but c’mon. You can want love and still have a successful life before you get it). While adorable, there were parts where the cheesiness factor was a bit much.

All of this to say, I finished this book in about 24 hours so the good definitely outweighed any bad. It’s a short, quick read that gives all the right feels and any romance reader will enjoy.

**Thank you so much to NetGalley and Montlake for my advanced reader copy in exchange for this honest review. All thoughts are my own. I appreciated the opportunity!!**

I have really enjoyed Jeneva Rose’s other books and the premise of this book was so cute! For some reason, this one missed the mark for me. The character development was a little flat and, for me, made distinguishing the dates a little difficult and unmemorable. Overall, the storyline was well paced and a cute idea for a story, but I felt unconnected to the characters and that really ruined the book for me.

4⭐️

Don’t get me wrong, I love Rose’s thrillers, but who needs murder when you have such a fun cast of characters like these! They were all so lovable and well-developed I struggled to pick a favorite.

I love a good amnesia trope, and this one had everything I need/want with a fresh spin. It was romance, humor, and heartfelt emotions all wrapped up in a well written, swoonworthy story. Was it predictable? Yes, because the best romance reads are and should be. We all want that HEA. I loved watching it all unfold and I truly hope we see more in this genre from Jeneva.

What I enjoyed;
πŸ’œHeartwarming Rom-Com
πŸ’œWitty Banter
πŸ’œEndearing Characters
πŸ’œAll The Feels

Pub Date: 10/24/23! Add this one to your romance TBR. It’s light, fun, and you wont wan’t to miss it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book 😍 I love Jeneva Rose's writing. I have loved all of her thrillers, and I was super excited to see that she is writing a romantic comedy. She totally nailed it. Her sense of humor is always on point, and I laughed out loud through this book! I also swooned throughout. It was just so cute. This book was absolute perfection. ❀️

This is like a perfect blend of the humor and heartfelt notes from The Girl I Was, mixed with the more romantic elements of You Shouldn’t Have Come Here. I even want entire spin-offs of some of the side characters. That’s how amazing the cast is and their interactions. If you’re in search of your next swoony happy read, look no further! It’s A Date (again) follows Peyton as she is rushing to confess her love when she is hit by a car. She wakes up in the hospital with amnesia, and then three different men show up claiming to be her boyfriend. So which one was she rushing to meet? This romcom was such a fun read! It never drug on and I absolutely loved the ending. Jeneva, please write more romcoms in the future because this reader wants more of your love stories. This book all in one made me cry, made me angry and everything in between.

Ok, in what may have been the most ironic typo ever, I commented on an Instagram post that I was reading a "rom-vom" and was surprisingly enjoying it! As someone who consumes thrillers and extreme horror, the more disturbing the better, I knew people would be surprised by this book choice. Since I loved her contemporary fiction title THE GIRL I WAS, I knew I had to give this one a try, and I was NOT disappointed!

One of my favorite movies of all time is 𝑢𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅, and I could definitely see its influence in this book! Peyton Sanders is done with dead-end relationships and finally knows who her heart belongs to. As she's racing to tell him how she feels, she has a strange yet sweet encounter with a homeless man, and in her haste to fulfill her destiny, she is hit by a car and wakes up with amnesia. Instantly, I was invested, because as a self-proclaimed klutz with bad luck, this is totally something that would happen to me.

When she wakes up in a hospital bed with no memories, her two best friends Maya and Robbie are there, along with three strange men who all claim to be dating Peyton. Her friends decided there is only one way to choose...she has to date them all again!

Even though I knew early on where the story was going, that didn't matter one bit to me. The little details the author put in this story made my black heart soften just a bit, and there is a hilarious Nickelback scene that made me laugh out loud. This book was tender, poignant, hilarious, and was for me a gentle reminder of the importance of friendship.

Thank you so much to the author for ensuring that I got an early copy! IT'S A DATE (AGAIN) will publish October 24, 2023.
