I absolutely love Jeneva Rose, she is hilarious!! (Follow her on Instagram if you don't already!). The beginning of the acknowledgements - LOL.

Anyway, this book! Similar to The Perfect Marriage, I once again predicted the ending very early in the book - before 20%. Regardless, I found the story very enjoyable, and the characters were so well written!! Despite the predictability, I found it to be an enjoyable, entertaining and really fun read! My favourite part was probably the Nickelback scene... so funny!!

***Thank you to NetGalley, for the ARC. Opinions are my own***

Release Date: 10.24.23

A serial dater falls in love but is hit by a car and develops amnesia before she can tell the lucky fella - thus leading to an awkward situation where she has to 'repeat' her dates with 3 separate fellas hoping to find "the one."

This was an easy read with reasonable pacing - sprinkled with humor and predictable safe romance.

I can see how this would appeal to many readers as it checks a lot of boxes in the rom-com category, but it didnt work for me on several levels due to:

1) Very predictable
2) Multiple cliches - homeless man with heart of gold (there are others but to avoid spoilers I wont list them)
3) Repetitive phrasing - alternatives to chest puffing for male characters would be appreciated
4) Humor that doesn't land right

I think this book will be enjoyable for any reader that is looking for an easy, light romance read who doesnt mind tropes.

Thank you again to NetGalley for this ARC.

This book was so so good!

If you love a will they won't they and who is she going to pick type of book, then read this one!

When Peyton is in a car accident and wakes up with amnesia, she's forgotten who her best friends are, and who the three men claiming to be her boyfriend are. Oh, and she realised she loved one of them minutes before the accident and she can't remember which one it is.

A really sweet romance book!

I have loved other books by this author and was excited to see how she did with a romcom. It was so funny, clever and had just the right amount of awkwardness to keep me entertained with secondhand embarrassment for our characters. 🤣 Peyton had to go through it pretty hard to get to the right guy and the right answers and I just loved the story and how the romance played out.

I was surprised I liked this as much as I did. I think the author did a great job in this genre. The story was a light easy read. Sure the plot was predictable but in the way we want it to be. It was well written, good pacing, easy to follow. A perfect light cute read, beach read, palate cleanser if you need it. I hope to see more in this genre from the author.

This book was very predictable but it was fun all the same!

Peyton has just told a man she doesn’t love him, but she lied. She meets a homeless man and he encourages her to run to him and tell him the truth. Peyton gets hit by a car, and wakes up without her memories. In the hospital, her best friends Maya and Robbie are there, and three men she was dating show up. They decide to help her find out which man she loved, by having them go on dates.

To start: her best friend Maya was funny and I loved Debbie too! It was obvious from the start that Robbie was the man she loved, but seeing Peyton figure that out was interesting. She had chemistry with each man, and was trying to decide who to be exclusive with. She eventually weeds them all out, and after running back into the homeless man, realizes it was Robbie all along.

This was a quick one, and I’d recommend that you give it a read!

It’s A Date (Again)
By: Jeneva Rose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pub Date: October 24, 2023

Thank you Net Galley and Amazon publishing and Montlake for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Peyton, a serial dater, finally has found love. The only problem is on her way to profess her love she is hit by a car. She wakes up in the hospital days later realizing she lost her memory. Three men show up in her hospital room claiming to be dating her. With the help of her two friends, Maya and Robbie, Peyton searches for the man she was running to the night of her accident.

My thoughts:
When I saw this book on Net Galley I knew I had to read it. I’ve read other Jeneva Rose books (and loved them) but I wasn’t aware she wrote a RomCom!

I don’t know that I’ve ever read a book with this premise, but I loved it!
I enjoyed how Peyton’s friends rallied around her to remind her who she is. I did see the ending coming, but it didn’t make me love this book any less. I loved the playfulness in her writing and thought the main characters were extremely likable. This book was cheesy at times, but that’s what makes a good romcom!

Add this to your TBR, you won’t regret it!

One lovestruck woman. Three handsome boyfriends—and strangers”
Peyton Sanders is running to go tell a man that she loved him back when she gets hit by a car. After the accident it’s apparent she has amnesia and can’t remember anything about herself or who the love of her life is. Three men turn up at the hospital all claiming to be her boyfriend so her friends, Maya and Robbie go along with the idea to date each man again and find out who she was running towards. Hopefully her heart can lead her in the right direction.

This was such a fun and easy read, after reading The Perfect Marriage also be Jeneva Rose i knew I’d love her writing style again in this book which I did. There was such great banter in this book I was smiling constantly, the little bits of romance were perfect and the ending wrapped everything up so well! Will definitely be reading more by Jeneva and would recommend this book to anyone looking for a funny and heartwarming rom-com.

First and foremost I would like to thank Netgalley and the publishing company for allowing me to read this Arc.

Peyton Sanders finally figures out at the age of 31 who she is love with. As she faces to meet her best friend to share her great news; she is hit by a car.

When she awakes to the beeps and buzzing of a hospital bed, unsure of who she is and who her friends are; Peyton is greeted by three men….all claiming to be in a romantic relationship with her.

With the help her friends, Peyton decides she is going to speed date all three men(again) to figure out which one she truly loves.

This novel was really really predictable to me. I was able to get the plot within the first four chapters. It’s a sweet and easy read. I am such a fan of Jeneva Rose and it was refreshing to read something light and out of her comfort zone.

I loved it and want everyone to read this novel! The perfect book to wrap yourself around on a night! This book needs to be on your radar! I love it so much! Emotional, heart-warming and thought provoking. A big-hearted, if predictable, novel that you'll finish in three days and think about for the rest of the year.

RomCom is not the typical genre of author Jeneva Rose, but I am here for it!!! I was super invested in the main character, Peyton, finding her love match. Even though I predicted who she would end up with, I still cried as it unfolded. The characters were all well developed and relatable. This swoon worthy book made me laugh, cry, get angry, and everything in between. Rose promised to make our hearts race one way or another and she delivered!

Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake for a digital ARC!

I really enjoyed this book. I knew Jeneva Rose was a great thriller writer and now she can add romance to her list! The story was cute and predictable (which I liked.) My only draw back is that I wanted the real romance to start sooner.

Jeneva writing romcom? It worked!

This was just right for me - easy breezy, not overly long, yes it was predictable, but don’t we love that in a rom com? I loved the characters, want to hang out with them in real life and absolutely just fell into he story and didn’t want to leave it!

I thought the writing, at times, felt choppy, but I am sure that will be fixed in the final edit.

Overall I highly recommend this and loved her take on a rom com.

This was such a fun book to read! I was laughing out loud at times and rooting for the characters! It felt like a Hallmark movie which was so fun. I have loved Jeneva for her thriller novels so this is obviously different for her, but so great! She managed to still sneak in some mystery into the romance. Can’t wait to see if she does more like this in the future!!

I just want to start this off by saying this is my second book by Jeneva Rose (first was “You Shouldn’t Have Come Here”) so while this novel didn’t get the 5/5 stars like YAHCH, it was still a good read.
I also don’t typically enjoy closed door romances but this one didn’t bother me in the same way most others do. Jeneva does have a way with words.

It’s a Date (Again) tells the story of Peyton Sanders, shes on her way to tell a guy that she loves him when she gets hit by a car. She wakes up in the hospital, with amnesia, and three men all claiming to be her boyfriend. Peyton begins to date them all in an attempt to see who it was she truly loves. The plot was very predictable. But for how short it was, it was a pretty good read.

This book was surprising in the best way. Ive only ever read her thrillers- this was her first crack at a rom-com and I think she rocked it. I legit cracked up multiple times while reading. A woman wakes up from a coma only to have amnesia- oh and 3 guys standing in her hospital room claiming to be her bf….? It was like memory-loss bachelor. She only had her 2 best friends and her landlord to help her figure out which guy she actually loves. But it wasn’t just the humor that got me, there were plenty of heartfelt moments too. I hope she writes more in this genre!
