I absolutely loved this one. I want Jeneva Rose to continue writing rom coms. It’s so funny and lighthearted. Highly recommend!
I loved this book so much! I am a big fan of Jeneva Rose’s writing and her other (thriller) novels so I was so excited to read this one. I was hoping the writing would be just as good in this as her first rom-com novel and I was not disappointed! It was such a fast, easy and feel good story. My only negative thought is that it could have been a little longer because I just loved the characters and wanted more! I finished it in one day, I didn’t want to put it down! I figured out pretty quickly who she was going to choose but it was so fun to see how everything unfolded throughout the book and came together at the end. I’d recommend this one to anyone looking for a quick, swoony and adorable rom-com.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Amazon Publishing/Montlake and of course the author, Jeneva Rose for my early digital copy for my honest thoughts and review!
Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of It's A Date Again.
Huge Jeneva Rose fan, and this one is a fun, cute romance story about a woman who suffers amnesia after a car accident. Before the car accident, she broke up with the guy she was dating and was off to tell her true love she loved him. She wakes up in the hospital with 3 potential guys and starts dating them all (over again!)
The characters were well-developed and likeable, and you were rooting for the main character. Loved the ending and the follow up that came with it. Because the ending wasn't abrupt, you felt closure with all the characters and storylines.
Solid 4.5 stars 🌟
This was such a good clean romcom. Loved how even the background characters were a big part of the story without overloading with unnecessary information. This was a new genre for the author and she killed it with all the tropes!
I wish I could give half stars because this would be a perfect 4.5 star book. If it wasn't for the amnesia storyline I would've loved every aspect of this book. I was skeptical because I know Jeneva Rose is a thriller writer, but she hit it out of the park with this friends to lovers book.
I love everything Jeneva Rose does. Literally anything. And the past version of Draw.
I really thought from very early on that Robbie was Drew and was rooting for them the whole time. Such an inventive romance idea, even if she didn't kill anyone in this one. I guess getting hit by a car is close.
Love this book - well done.
In this story, Peyton has just told her friend that she's figured out who she is in love with when she gets hit by a car and loses her memory. Including the identity of the man she loves. Despite having had a head injury and having been in coma for several days, she's fine. Apart from the amnesia there is nothing else wrong with her. medically.
Three guys show up in the hospital, saying she dated them, but Peyton can't tell which one is the lover she chose. She decides she needs to get to know them all over again. It's a bit weird to navigate dating when you don't remember who you were and what you have done, but her friends Maya, Robbie and Debbie try to help her suss them out. The ending is rather obvious from early on so there are no real surprises here but it was a cute story and I stayed up far too late finishing it.
Steam level: Kissing.
I received a netgalley copy and this is a voluntary review.
When I saw the authors name I was shocked "That Jeneva Rose wrote a romance novel?" It was an ok romance but I much prefer her thrillers. I also didn't believe the premise - why would 3 exes be at your door? It just wasn't something I enjoyed.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it’s a date (again) Jeneva Rose
publication day 10/24/2023
serial dater Peyton lost all her memories and can’t remember who the man she loves is…
a stunner that was whimsically written! until this book I didn’t know that amnesia trope was a thing, but i’m totally here for it!
This book will tug on your heart strings as you’re taken through Peyton’s life trying to get her memories back.
it was SO close to a 5 star for me, but the ending was a bit too obvious for me to give it a full 5.
I still highly recommend this book for when it comes out- you will not be disappointed! 🤩
I am a HUGE fan of Jeneva and her books. I own a few myself. She does amazing in any genre, but this one!! OMG, I loved it!!!! This was such a lovely read, and I was absolutely hooked. Jeneva please write another book like this!!!!
Peyton receives a declaration of love and realizes she has found her true love too. While running to tell him, she is hit by a car and wakes up with no memories and three possible boyfriends. She decides to date all of the men again to try to figure out who she is in love with.
This is my first book written by Jeneva Rose. I haven’t read one of her thrillers yet, so I can’t compare this to those. This was a fun rom com that is easy to binge read. It is extremely predictable in that who she loves is obvious from the very beginning, so I would have enjoyed a bit more build up to that reveal. I didn’t care for Peyton’s friend Maya, either. However, the premise was fun and the story was cute. I feel like I’ve read many books with the amnesia trope and this one was average but still enjoyable.
Thank you to Jeneva Rose, Montlake, and Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
read this today and you will not be disappointed. Enjoyed this one a lot. It was good read and will find more of this author books.
I just reviewed It's a Date (Again) by Jeneva Rose. #ItsaDateAgain #NetGalley
It’s a Date (Again) is like a classic Hallmark movie: romantic, hilarious, and dramatic! It was such a fun read. The plot was pretty predictable and you figure out who the female main character ends up with pretty early on, but it was interesting to read and go through the dates and figure out how they end up together. The FMC’s growth throughout the story as she dates her three suitors is entertaining, and the comedic relief from Debbie and Maya is perfect.
I loved this! The entire story was so sweet (even if it was a little cheesy sometimes!). I loved the family dynamic and that one of the takeaways was that sometimes everything you need is right in front of you. I really liked the writing style and how easily it flowed, Tyler was a jerk but Hank and Robbie were sweet (even though he was a little wishy washy in the middle but I think it can be forgiven based on the importance to the story!). I think the only thing that I was a little hung up on was how awkward the hospital was but I guess that’s fair given then circumstances. I loved the relationship between Robbie, Maya, and Peyton and I don’t think I have anything bad to say. Jeneva is funny and while I haven’t read any of her thrillers yet, I definitely plan to pick at least one up but I hope she writes more books like this one too. The last thing I loved was the acknowledgments where she thanks everyone except Scott because her TikTok posts about this were funny!
I haven’t posted a review about this to Goodreads or social media yet but plan to once we are within two weeks of the release date and will come back to add the links once I do.
Jeneva rose belongs in the romance genre! This was such an adorable read! Yes it’s predictable and nothing super original but it was just too cute to not love! I would love for someone to bring this to the screen and for Jeneva to write another romance asap!
Rose's first Rom Com is a hit! This was funny, like laugh out loud funny- and I read the whole thing in a day! If you're looking for an escape look no further- highly recommend!
Jeneva Rose is known for her thriller mysteries, but with this book she proves that she can write in all genres. This was a perfect beach read romcom.
Usually, my complaint is that a book is too long, and could have been cut down, but in this case, I wanted this book to be longer. It's about 200 pages and I wanted more!
The book opens with our main character telling a mystery (to us the reader) man that she doesn't love him and he walks away sad. She then has a conversation with a stranger who makes who realize she does in fact love said mystery man and she is on her way to tell him how she really feels... BUT then she gets hit by a car and wakes up to three men all claiming to be her boyfriend. She has no idea who any of these people are, and with the help of her best friends, she decides to re-date all three thinking that one of these men must be her mystery man that she is in love with.
It was pretty obvious about 50 pages in who she was going to choose, and I wish Jeneva Rose had kept it a bit more mysterious. After all, she writes thriller/mysteries so she absolutely could have kept us guessing for longer.
Overall, this was a solid 4 star read, and I hope to see this author continue to write in the romance genre.

I’m a huge Jeneva Rose fan, so I grabbed this as soon as I saw it come up as available!
This is Rose’s first foray into rom-coms, and it brings both the rom and the com. Peyton wakes from a coma after being hit by a car to find that she was dating three men, about to tell someone that she loved him, and can’t remember anything at all. Her friends tell her they will help her figure out who she loves, and off she goes to start dating the three men all over again.
The concept is fun, the men all sound delicious, and Peyton is easy to root for. The story definitely leans on the predictable side, as I figured out who she loved almost immediately. Peyton’s best friend and her landlady add comic relief and levity to the story.
In my opinion, things were kept pretty surface level in this story and it all felt very light and airy. I didn’t really feel the connection Peyton thinks she feels with one man, and a whole lot of assumptions were made by the character. I would have liked to see more of her time with the various men, as getting to know them was the whole premise of the story and it didn’t feel like a central thing while actually reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. I’d give this 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
Such a fun, fast read! Like the Bachelorette turned Goldie Hawn from the movie Overboard. It was a cute story with cool characters and lots of laughs. I figured out right away who Peyton loved, but that didn't matter. The journey to the end was worth the read. Rose is known for her juicy thrillers, but I think her Rom-coms will also be a big hit. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you to the author, Montlake and NetGalley for allowing me digital access in exchange for my honest review!
4.25 stars - The book was a fun and quick read. Peyton is in her 30s and has not been in a serious relationship in her whole life. On the day she realizes who she loves, she gets hit by a car and wakes up in the hospital with no memories of who she is, the man she loves, and the three handsome men that show up saying they are her boyfriends. On the quest to figure out which man is the man she loves, she goes on a "first date" with each man again. Honestly, the plot was predictable, and I figured out who Peyton would end up with early in the story. It was fun to read and see how they ended up together.
Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
