Larkin a sentinel is part of the team that protects Knox Thorne the Prime of the Las Vegas lair. All Larkins friends are now mated and so they are constantly trying to find her a mate much to her annoyance.
Teague Sullivan is a laid back alpha male hellhorse unrivalled on the race track in Vegas with a laid back take them or leave them attitude. When Larkin comes up with a plan that they should pretend to be a couple Teague thinks it’s a hilarious idea and is up to the challenge to go along with Larkins plan, betting her she won’t last without falling for him.
Here we have a developing relationship that completely goes over Teague head that he has feelings for Larkin as she does for him.
There is much mystery and secrecy to Teague’s origins which he protects at all costs but someone is causing him big problems. Added to this Larkins fated anchor appears on the scene now deciding he wants to bond with her, she is now completely against this happening.
This story is full of excitement,action, humour and romance. Great dialogue and wonderful characters. A great addition to the series.

Larkin is pretty annoyed at her friends attempts at match making.
She turns to Teague to help her out
Neither of them can ignore the chemistry between them.
The chemistry between them is off the charts.
Teague is a pretty funny guy at times but at other times can be a little clueless.
It’s no wonder him & Khloe are anchors. We see how Larkin deals with Teague and his past and how Teague can deal with Larkin’s demon.
They have great banter, always trying to out do each other.
Overall a good read.
