This is a good book. The two main characters are Stephanie and Henry. Stephanie just lost her job and is going to interview the next day. Henry runs a newspaper. There is an instant attraction. Stephanie calls her friend to go out and celebrate her getting an interview. There she meets Henry. He knows who she is. He hires her the next day. They start dating. They fall in love and get married.
“Is it really that difficult for you to imagine a world where I truly like you for who you are and decide to be with you for no other reason than you make me feel human”

this review is a major spoiler so if your planning on reading this I’d skip this review because it’s really a super short I can’t write a review without spoiling
The story starts with Stephanie an editor who’s looking for job she gets a call from a company and agrees to an interview which is with the CEO to celebrate she goes to the bar for drinks where she’s approached by a man as they start speaking that man is no one other than the Henry Merrick the CEO she has a meeting with tomorrow and he straight up told her after a panic attack in the bathroom she goes straight back to him and lucky her she gets the job but before her initial start date Stephanie is pushed into the deep end and she has to accompany her boss out side the city for a week. After a rough meeting her and Henry get super drunk one thing leads to another and you guessed it they sleep with each other but they both don’t acknowledge it and move on until they both can’t hide their feelings but we have a problem Stephanie is pregnant and you guessed it Henry is the dad after months of putting it off she tells Henry and to her surprise there’s no hissy fit or hush money but like a gentleman he says he wants to marry her and that she should move in and that’s what they do THE END
YH THATS IT THATS THE FULL STORY SEE MY PROBLEM MY REVIEWS ARE USUALLY 64 PAGES SO I DONT KNOW HOW THE AUTHOR THOUGHT SHED BE ABLE TO CONVINCE US THEY WERE IN LOVE THE PLOT WAS SOO RUSHED IT HAD ME QUESTIONING LIFE
“He’s way too far out of my league. Why would he be talking to me instead of Gina? I wondered.”
At first I liked Catherine she was relatable where she was talking about her insecurities about not being the desirable friend I FELT THAT 😭 but Yh she was annoying like girl why are you literally saying no to moving in with him when your having his kid and your excuse was it’s moving to fast LET ME REMIND YOU YOUR PREGNANT WITH HIS CHILD IN MY OPINION IT CANT GET FASTER THAN THAT
“Sorry if that was rude. My name’s Henry. Nice to meet you.”
“Ms. Cook, my office, now,” barked from the other end of the office. yhh because that’s definitely same person 😭
Henry was such a confusing character the author was trying too hard to make him sound like an arrogant prick but he was secretly just a marshmallow that was switching up every second. Even my indecisive self was like please pick for the love of god is he a marshmallow or a prick you can’t be both.
“I enjoy the unexpected, like running into you at this bar. I never thought I’d meet a potential employee out in the wild.” 😂💀
CAN SOMONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW HENRY JUST CASUALLY TELLS CATHERINE SHES A POTENTIAL EMOLOYEE AND THAT SHES GOT A METTING WITH HIM TOMMOROW BEARING IN MIND THEYR AT A BAR COMPLETE STRANGERS LIKE THAT WAS SOOO STUPID NO BOSS WOULD DO THAT
“If he wants it to happen again, then the opportunity will arise. He’ll make sure of it. If it doesn’t, then just assume he was still drunk when he woke up and acted in a way that he’s not proud of. He probably feels guilty and ashamed, so don’t push it. Let it all happen organically.” At least her friend has a brain 😘
Catherine sweetheart why were you upset that your boss didn’t speak to you after you hooked up like what was he meant to say crap I get your an employee let’s do it again sometime it’s a mistake stop crying you don’t even know the guy 😭😭
“Steph, I’ve always liked you! Ever since I saw you at that bar, I knew I wanted you to be mine. I just had no idea how to say that without freaking you out and scaring you off.”YOU HAVE ONLY KNOWN HER FOR 40 PAGES PLEASE SIT BACK DOWN 💀
THE WORST PART HAS TO BE HENRY TELLING CATHERINE HES NOT PROPOSING TO HER BECAUSE OF THE BABY BUT BECAUSE HE LOVES HER. BROTHER YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO HER LIKE 2 TIMES WHAT LOVE IV SEEN MORE AARON WARNER EDITS THAN YOU HAVE HER
Love her books-they have a good storyline and keep you entertained all throughout. Love the steamy scenes too! Get your read on!
This was an interesting story. I actually didn’t mind a spoke. Usually I think shorter bookstore have enough detail, although there was a little bit of Insta larvae and it did have the light baby aspect which I usually don’t like in a book. This did actually pull off pretty well, I will try and win some more of this authors books as I did like her writing style. It was easy to get through easy to read and I just kind of consumed this book in one sitting. I think the main female character was relatable. Although I would’ve loved to see the perspective from the males point of you, I did like where this book went, although some things were left open and like why he changed his mind why he was so open why are you so caring and trusting, considering he didn’t trust other people? Just a couple of things that I didn’t understand, but generally it was a good book.

Initially I liked the start of this book like, like the first couple pf chapters and then it changed like it written by someone else and i did not enjoy after that.
I know it a short story and I have read plenty of novellas but this felt rushed and the writing was flat and there was know chemistry at all after the first couple of chapters.
Thank you Netgalley for a copy for an honest review
Loved reading the wonderfully written romance story. When Stephanie takes a job working for Henry, she finds him alluring and charismatic but at the same time an obnoxious billionaire. Read the highly recommended and a must read love story.
I have many words for this book…. But I’m going to try to be constructive instead of rude. No spoilers, as always.
The plot - so it’s a workplace romance, more of a novella style book, enemies to lovers, surprise pregnancy trope, and a HEA. Now the premise was golden, but the MMC was only a dick for the first 40 pages or so? And then suddenly he was a sweetheart. He bounced between incredibly feminine and a dominant alphahole - but both were cringey and awkward. There were several plot holes and it felt rushed. If you’re after a fast easy read, this is the book for you.
The MC - I was all but ready to smack Steph into next week. She is the typical pick me girl, with a ‘low self esteem’ but confidence to boot? She’s judgemental, and her world view is seriously skewed. Imagine a 13 year old girl in high school, with the fake mental illness and woe is me attitude? That is this FMC.
The male counterpart - I’ve already mentioned how much Henry pissed me off. And it pissed me off MORE because that’s my partner’s name and I won’t have anyone tarnish it! I’m good with an effeminate MMC, but he was ridiculous with it. Childish and almost creepy. And the alphahole act was non-commital.
I’m sorry but I just couldn’t get on with this one. I really tried but I didn’t like the writing style at all and I struggled to finish it.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
Falling in Love with an Obnoxious a Billionaire was a very short, quick read. I liked the description of the book and promise, but didn’t few engaged with the characters. I enjoyed the writing of the first chapter and interactions between Gina and the main character, Stephanie, but the writing changed short after the story began. Henry was too mercurial with his moods and feelings, making it feel like the shifts came from nothing rather than having a purpose. At one point of the book, they go from having a shot to being black out drunk in two pages with very little in between. The dialogue between the two main characters fell flat and seemed out of line with the descriptions of Henry and his position within the company.
Overall - 2 stars
I did receive a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I wanted to love this and I did for the first 30 pages and then it was almost like a second book. It got very judgmental and weird. Alluding to not having an abortion because being pregnant was her "responsibility" was rude and hurtful to women who make that impossible decision. Throwing in her being bisexual. in one sentence in the book was a cop out and thrown in just to be "woke". And he was only obnoxious for about two paragraphs the rest he was so sweet it made me want to throw up. I am sorry for writing such a poor review, I never do that. This book just hit all of my triggers.
