I really enjoyed reading this book and discovering practical tips for finding motivation. The title was what made me request this book from NetGalley because I often don't feel like doing anything! I found the first section of the book quite interesting, about what motivation is, and experiences from famous people on how they motivated themselves to success. However, I found it quite long. What was more interesting to me was the actual tips and advice provided.
Although many of the ideas were ones I had come across before, they were no less useful. From time planning, to finding to a mentor, meditation and vision boards, I found numerous tips and recommended reading. I did not find the tips exhaustive however, and definitely felt there could have been more to the second section.
Not a bad book about motivation. It was an exciting read though I'd prefer more practical advice and tips on becoming and staying motivated because I struggle with it a lot.
From the very first page, the author's captivating writing style hooks you in, making it impossible to put the book down. The book delves into a profound understanding of motivation and provides practical processes that empower you to activate and sustain it, even during the most challenging times.
An extraordinary and pragmatic guide that takes readers on a transformative journey of self-discovery.
There are two types of self-help books; those that give enough detail to be helpful and those that don't. Those that give detail allow the reader to use examples straight off the page - there are instructions and templates, rules and tips and suggestions of things to avoid. There are descriptions of activities with enough structure surrounding them that the reader can try immediately them out and see an improvement.
This is not that book. I was disappointed.
