Thank you for this free ARC, the opinions that follow are my own.

This was such a cute story! I binged it in one sitting (had to know how Wendell fixed his blunders along the way). I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series.

Bittersweet and heartwarming tale of grief, friendship, and spooky fun!

Sheets was such a cute read! I really enjoyed it and am glad I could get it on my phone as I'd seen the paperback in the shops but it was so much easier on my phone.
I loved the illustrations in this sweet tale about a family who own a laundromat, but when the mother passes away it leaves the rest of the family in limbo. Marjorie takes over running the day to day and has to fend off a businessman determined to buy the laundromat and make it a spa. Luckily, a ghost named Wendall shows up to help her out!
This book splits it's time with Marjorie and the Glatt family and exploring the ghost world which is full of ghosts who dress in sheets - so cute.
While this was adorable, Sheets holds a meaningful story in it's illustrations and touches on some deep aspects of grief and life. I hope i can read more of these!

Love the entire trilogy of ‘Sheets’. Will definitely recommend them to students. I loved the themes of unlikely friendships helping each other through high school, reminding us that behind closed doors that everyone has their own difficulties that they are dealing with,

Like 3.7 stars!

I really enjoyed this uniquely beautiful art style, and the relationship that developed between Marjorie and Wendell made my heart warm!

I particularly enjoy that we saw quite a bit of backstory from both main characters before their first interaction. It was, in my opinion, a perfect way to set it up.

I would likely recommend this to a much younger audience, but adults can definitely enjoy an easy read of Sheets and subsequent graphic novels.

This wasn't quite what I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing at all. The cover makes it seem a little more like a cute, fluffy read. And while there were certainly cute and very heartwarming moments, this book deals with heavy topics, such as grief and death. I think the author handled these topics in a great way. It never felt too overwhelming, but was realistic at the same time. I enjoyed both the writing and the art style and look forward to reading more books by this author. I would recommend this book to more mature readers as a next step from Telgemeier's Sisters, etc.

Very cute, short and sweet! A wholesome little read - it doesn't take long to get through but it is thoroughly enjoyable and I loved the graphics. I would love to read more stories about Wendell and Marjorie :)

What a wonderful and moving graphic novel! I read it in one sitting. Loved the artwork - particularly the panorama frames that showed the autumnal streets. It‘s a book about grief and perseverance and I highly recommend it!

A sweet graphic novel following thirteen year old Marjorie who runs her family's laundry business, and Wendell, a ghost wearing a sheet.

I didn't expect this to be so emotionally impactful. The main character's mother has recently passed away, so she is obviously dealing with that grief alongside the typical teenage issues (school and boys). The story also shows what it's like after the loss of a parent, when the remaining parent is crippled with depression after losing their partner. Marjorie is left with all the responsibilities and stress of the household, while her father is always in his room.

I really loved Wendall's perspective. He is a new ghost who is learning the ways of the ghost world.

I do think it started a little slow, but it really picked up from the halfway mark.

The art style and colour palette was lovely, and I'm looking forward to continuing in the series. Would definitely recommend, especially for young teens and kids. Particularly if they are dealing with grief and/or the death of a loved one.

This was so cute and was able to beautifully explain grief in a way that a kid could also understand! Highly recommend for adults of course, but also I think this would have been a lifesaver for me to have had it either before or after my dad died when I was 14. Also, the artwork was just stunninggg!

Can’t wait to read Delicates next! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher!

I absolutely loved this book. If I'd read it as a kid, it definitely would've been a top favorite.

The art was atmospheric and really created a good sense of both the human and ghost sides of things. The town was autumn-y and charming! I also have to applaud the handling of the sheet ghosts, it was so much fun to see them actually handled as floating sheets and how floating fabric would interact with the world.

My heart went out to Marjorie and the amount of responsibility on her shoulders. Not to spoil the story but the creative way she and Wendell pull things off at the end was a delight! It was also fun to watch Marjorie and Wendell become friends.

Overall, a cute and touching story that had a lot of fun with ghosts. Perfect for any Halloween loving kid.

This is a very cute book but unfortunately I don't think this is a genre I can get into. I wanted to give it a try but its not my thing. Its not the book, its definitely me. I am glad I tried it and I did think it was extremely well drawn and very sweet.

Sheets is a graphic novel following Marjorie, a young girl who runs her family’s laundromat, and Wendell, a ghost wearing a sheet. This graphic novel was such a sad but lovely story with captivating characters and beautiful illustrations.

Wendell’s perspective was my favourite, he was funny with a big heart and I loved following his story through the ghost world and living world.

My only negative was that the ending felt a little rushed, I would have liked to have spent more time with it.

I felt this was heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one. This is the first graphic novel I’ve read in years and it won’t be the last.

Marjorie is a student and works in their family laundromat. When her mother died so is their father. (He’s still alive but feels like it’s not). Her life wasn’t happy at all. At school, girls are bullying her. At home Mr. Saubertuck keeps harassing her, he keeps bothering Marjorie about the shop to sell it to him and also spreading rumors about the laundry.

(SPOILER ALERT) Wendell is a ghost. He died of being drown on the lake. When he met Marjorie all he do was cause of chaos at the laundry. But in the end he fix everything.

This was a fun read. It was sad but also cute. I really enjoyed it. This is the second time I read this book. I just need a refresh before I read Delicates and Lights (I haven’t read them both).

I've just been getting more into graphic novels and this was a great one - I loved the concept, and the colours were beautiful. A great read - I can't wait to dive into the rest!

A delightful graphic novel that follows a young girl who recently lost her mother, and is left with grief and too much responsibility for a teenager. The art was pretty, and many scenes were packed with detail, intricate and emotional. The story is paranormal, and I found the ghosts and their world to be highly creative and charming. I have never seen a ghost story done like this before, many moments were hilarious and heartwarming. The plot reminded me of the A Series of Unfortunate Events books which I am a big fan of. I recommend this book to fans of cozy paranormal spookiness!

This is the perfect little graphic novel for going into spooky season. I loved the little story line. But I love the color pallet for the graphic novel the most it was super cute and I can't wait to read the next one.

Surprisingly, a really cute heartwarming book about a laundromat and a ghost.

I really love the artwork, and the story picks up nicely. They do touch on some heavy themes (or what I would deem heavy for a middle-grade kid), but they do a great job about keeping it light while advancing the plot along.

It's a great start and definitely something I'd recommend to kids, I'm definitely going to pick up the next few for the library.

Thanks again to Brenna Thummler and NetGalley for letting me read an advanced copy!

I received a free copy of Sheets from Netgalley and Oni Press in exchange for an honest review.

Sheets is a beautiful short story about a teenage girl who runs a laundry mat and the ghost of a boy who helps her. Together, they find reasons to move forward and overcome their fears.

This was the perfect short graphic novel to sit down and read with my morning cup of tea. I can’t wait to check out the next couple books in the series to follow Marjorie and Wendell on their new adventures.
