This was a great story to listen to. I really liked the narrator of the story. It was nice to hear and imagine.
For the story in itself, it was super funny. It definitely was entertaining. I liked the characters, the atmosphere and the plot in itself.
It took a while to get into the story, I found myself constantly losing interest in the story. Even though this is the third book in the series, this is the first book I read because the description on netgalley interested me.
Also while I loved the relationship and cute moments between cherry and Dante, I can't help but feel like it's very Stockholm syndromey? Idk, girl was forced to become a mate to dante and she's constantly planning on running away showing that the marriage is not what she wanted
I was very much looking forward to the next installment of the mead mishaps and I enjoyed it immensley.
This book was a nice addition to the series, in that it was longer than the others which led to a more fleshed out plot.
I was so excited to finally meet Cherry and I really enjoyed Dante floundering in his attemps at wooing her.
As always cameos from our previous favourite characters were much appreciated and Alexis remains a firm favourite.
The audiobook version I listened to was well paced, with the narrator creating a vivid tale using accents and inflections.
All in all a lovely, lighthearted read if you are in the mood for some romantic fantasy.
I listened to the audio books of the previous two books too, and I love the narrator.
This was as much fun as the preceding volumes. It feature's Cinnamon's sister, who went missing 5 yrs ago and has actually been held captive in a tower guarded by a dragon all that time. Naturally she's a little jumpy about dragon shifters now so when she drugs a different dragon in an attempt to make him help her escape, it has hilarious and disastrous consequences. Like accidentally getting married.
These books are the perfect palate cleanser between heftier books. They are fun, smart and sassy (not to mention smutty) with likeable characters and cute romantic trysts. Try this series if you're looking to lower your blood pressure and don't want romantasy with high stakes and politics.
I swear Kimberley Lemming’s books just keep getting better and better. I actually think this may be my favourite of the series so far. This story follows Dante along with his fated mate Cherry. I don’t want to give any spoilers and it’s such a magical book but just know the plot is 5 star, the smut is 5 star and the characters are 5 star! 100% will be restarting this series so I get to read this again!! Thank you so much for the arc, what an absolute gem this book is!
These books are just so much fun! I adore the humour, and the tone where it doesn't take itself too seriously. These books know what they are and they do it so well. Great characters, a fun and silly time.
Really enjoy this one and a whole series, beautiful narration.
The writing style is engaging and immersive, drawing readers into the protagonist's world and evoking a range of emotions. The author's ability to craft vivid descriptions and vividly portray the protagonist's inner struggles adds depth to the narrative.
"That Time I Got Drunk And Saved A Human" is a thought-provoking and empowering book that challenges traditional fairy tale tropes. It offers a fresh perspective on themes of captivity, courage, and the strength to overcome adversity. Readers who enjoy stories with strong, independent heroines and unexpected twists will find themselves captivated by this enchanting tale.
My heart is so happy!!!! I didn’t think I could love this series more than I already did - but Kimberly Lemming proved me wrong!! This was absolutely amazing!! For fans of the series - go into this installment with zero spoilers! Trust me! I literally don’t want to give anything away so all I’ll say is 1000/10! I swooned, gasped, cried, cussed, laughed, smiled and had an all around great time!
Plus the narration!! Amazing! Hazel Addison did a fantastic job bringing the story to life!!
Thank you so much to Quercus Audio, Jo Fletcher Books for the advanced copy!
