So the beginning of this book I really wasn’t sure. I did not love the immature energy the MMC was giving, and the d bag that the FMC was supposedly engaged to was so insufferable that it made you kind of annoyed with her cluelessness. THAT SAID, once I got into the “falling” part of the romance I did get infested in the outcome. Overall it was cute and I don’t regret reading it just don’t know if I would should it from the rooftops.

A heartwarming and charming tale that dives into the complexities of love, self-discovery, and the unpredictability of relationships. Jade Monroe, is a woman who seems to have everything she’s ever wanted in her fiancé, Conner—until he abruptly pulls away, leaving her confused and questioning her worth. As Jade grapples with Conner's withdrawal, her family’s blunt advice that “he’s just not that into you” only adds to her turmoil.

On the other hand, we meet River Matthews, an endearing and refreshingly honest man who is also navigating the challenges of modern love. As the last bachelor in his friend group, River is feeling the weight of finding “the one” before it's too late. His reluctance to risk his heart again makes his journey both relatable and deeply poignant.

Brown expertly weaves the lives of these two characters, bringing them together in unexpected ways. Their chemistry is undeniable, but what truly shines is how their relationship allows them to confront their insecurities and grow as individuals. The book is filled with humorous moments, tender interactions, and a genuine exploration of what it means to take a leap of faith in love.

Stuck With You is more than just a romance; it’s a reminder that sometimes the path to happiness involves letting go of rigid expectations and embracing the unexpected. Aimee Brown’s witty dialogue, well-drawn characters, and relatable themes make this a perfect read for anyone who loves feel-good contemporary romance with a touch of emotional depth.

A delightful read that will leave you smiling—and perhaps rethinking what it means to find your perfect match.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this book. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unable to download and review this book on time. That said, I have since purchased this book and have read it, there fore would still love to complete this review.

This was a fun little read, something for me to read and enjoy between some of the longer series that I have been reading.

Aimee Brown is sure to make her readers smile with her latest romantic read, Stuck With You.

Jade Monroe is on top of the world. She has just got engaged to the the man of her dreams and she cannot wait to spend the rest of her life with Conner. However, while Jade is on cloud nine, Conner has got strangely distant – so distant that he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth! Are her friends and family right and Conner just isn’t into her? Has her Prince Charming turned into a rat of the highest order? And will Jade have to start her search for the ‘the one’ all over again?

River Matthews make no apologies for the kind of man he is. Honest, unapologetic and just a little bit lonely, River is the last single guy standing in his group of friends and he is keen to find his own happy ever after. River had once thought that he had found ‘the one’, but when it backfired spectacularly, he had vowed to take a much more cautious approach to happiness. But will being so scared of taking a chance on romance end up costing him the love of his life?

Jade and River have resigned themselves to never meeting their soulmate. But will fate have a surprise in store for them? Or will their fears and doubts continue to hold them back and leave them facing a future full of disappointment and regret?

Aimee Brown’s Stuck With You is a lovely romantic read that sparkles with plenty of humour, intensity, emotion and heart. A charming page-turner perfect for Beth O’Leary and Emily Henry fans, romance fans will not be disappointed with the latest novel by Aimee Brown, Stuck With You.

This was a cute read. Jade's family doesn't like Connor or his proposal and Jade feels like things are off, but doesn't want to throw away an actual relationship. River is adorkable. Their friendship is so easy and breezy. They just get each other at the core. The 80s and 90s references and musical preferences were awesome. The chemistry and ease of the relationship between Jade and River (as well as the fiance being an asshole) made it so obvious who should be together and how Jade should dump Connor, it left minimal conflict to feel truly invested in Jade's decision. But it works for a fun, low stakes romcom read.

A funny and engaging story, wonderful character interactions and a lovely dynamic in the story telling. Some laugh out loud moments. Recommended, easy to follow read.

This was a fun read. I liked the 80s teen movie references, the cookie characters, the dialogue and the narrattion from both main character's perspectives

A lighthearted romantic comedy, featuring friends to lovers, dual POV and slow burn.

I'm glad Jade grew throughout the book, realising that she should follow her heart and not be scared of it. The cosy slow burn between River and Jade was adorable, they are perfect for one another - and I'm glad Jade realised that she's worth more than just 'emoji' texting, little communication and rushing out of the door away from her.

In this charming tale, Jade gets the proposal of her dreams but starts questioning her relationship when her fiancé overlooks key details. Working at a bar, she encounters River, who senses the truth about her fiancé. As Jade navigates past trauma and vulnerability, River strives to show her genuine love. While some label it a love triangle, Conner's detachment makes it more about Jade's journey. The story beautifully explores Jade's growth and River's efforts to reveal her worth. Despite Jade's frustrating stubbornness, her loyalty adds depth. The narrative, not rushing to a happily-ever-after, unfolds into a sweet romance. The book invites readers to reflect on the nature of true love and self-discovery, making it a lovely, heartwarming read with characters destined for each other.

Thank you Netgalley & Boldwood Books for access to this title in exchange for an honest review. 🤍

I really enjoyed this book and loved all of the characters. It was a perfect friends-to-lovers romance. Aimee Brown brings a freshness to often-used tropes and this book is another example of that. I can’t wait to read more from Aimee Brown.

I didn’t love this which is a shame because I enjoyed the writing to a certain point but it was just a bit ridiculous. The main character was so frustrating, she knew her decision was wrong and just seemed insanely stubborn about it, I guess it’s a literary style but it just made it very difficult to read and I couldn’t understand her decisions at all. Not for me.

This book was just not for me. The main characters were super frustrating and I just couldn’t connect to them at all. It made it very hard for me to finish the book and because of that, I stopped a little less than halfway through the book. I’m sorry!

I'm really starting to like the universe that Aimee Brown is building with these books. I like that she chose to keep the stories interwoven. So while it's not a series, we still get to keep up with Dax and the characters introduced in her first book. This is kind of a fake engagement/real engagement story with competing boy toys and is seriously laugh out loud. I love these books because they are genuinely hysterical. I could kind of take or leave the female main character. I thought she was kind of a pushover in a not great way. Although I appreciate that there was a decent development ARC for her becoming her own person. Now the male love interest? I loved River. He was such a big goofy dufus, but not in the way that it's super annoying. It just made him endearing and I loved it I fell in love with his character and about how sure of himself he was. I love that you could tell through the story that River lives out loud and doesn't ask permission for anyone. Really the two of them were meant for each other and it was super entertaining reading through all of the shenanigans on the road to love.

I've followed Aimee Brown's books for awhile so this was a no -brainer for me to read.

So excited about this friends to lovers, will they or won't they, book about two people who are wonderfully flawed and a whole lot of fun.

The banter between River and Jade moves the story along and builds great tension as we all wait for each of them to see each other and get that HEA.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I am a great fan of Aimee Brown’s writing. Her characters always have heart, excellent dialog, and believable scenarios. Terrific world building of life in Portland Oregon too. I loved the tension between Jade and River. River is written so well, especially. Makes the heart pitter patter. I loved his wise, honest lines like: “All I know is that there are three things you can never get back; people after death, words spoken, and time wasted.”
