Dual POV with two eccentric but lovable and sincere personalities who are both night owls and creatives. Despite all the anxiety about the awful Connor, I loved how well Jade and River clicked as a couple. There are many aspects in this story that have the potential to be depressing, yet Jade and River's affection for one another is endearing. I laughed aloud at the interplay between Jade and River and a few lines from supporting characters. I grinned at the respect and love they displayed for one another. Because everything emanated from their hearts and the depth of their passion, I smiled even during the emotional times. An adorable couple that isn't only falling in love is Jade and River but who are also learning to understand what love is
This book was complete with a mom overly involved in the male characters life, a snarky sister of the female characters, and a LOT of 90's/80's era nostalgia! It's based in Portland, OR where I'm from so I was able to understand a lot of the references/locations even if names were changed! I enjoyed the witty banter, the nicknames given to the fiancé we DO NOT like, and of course the romance. Although not spicy, it was very cute, and heartfelt. I enjoyed it from start to end, and I will 100% be angling for the other books in the surface!
Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was a fluffy little fun read - somewhere between a novella and a novel. Light on the tension that we usually see in a romcom, but the banter between Jade and River was really fun and the dynamic between River and his mother was fun too.
Stuck With You is a slow burn friends to lovers story that I enjoyed reading.
If you are looking for a light hearted romance read, Stuck With You is the book you should pick up.
Perfect reading for summer reading.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I really enjoyed this book in the beginning, probably 3/4 of the book had me hooked. I felt like the last bit just felt drug out and I lost my interest in he characters and plot. The FMC knew she was with a crummy guy but was avoiding dealing with it. The MMC was fun and easy going, but I think he was just a bit too out there for me. I think I’m just drawn more towards the grumpy, quiet guy and this wasn’t him. If you love a spunky MMC this would be a good read. I did really enjoy all the references to the 80’s movies, such a fun addition. Solid read, but maybe just not quite my vibe.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When her boyfriend of two months proposes at Jade’s birthday party, not long after she’s lost her mother, she’s surprised and accepts to save Connor’s blooper. When Connor leaves Portland for his doctor residency in Boston shortly afterwards, Jade still doesn’t have an engagement ring, or any wedding plans. When he stops calling, Jade starts confiding to her friend River, and the way they just get each other allows Jade to realise just how a true relationship should feel.

I read Aimee Brown’s He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not and Love Notes, which are set in the same friend group but work easily as standalone stories, and was excited to read River and Jade’s instalment. It’s a dual POV featuring two quirky but loving and honest characters, who are both creative and caring night owls. I had a smile on my face for most of this story, and adored the way that Jade and River fitted together so perfectly, despite all the angst about the terrible Connor. There is alot about this story that could be sad, but the way Jade and River care for each other is heartwarming. It’s a goodie ❤️

This was an ok read. It's a HEA romance with an obvious ending. She's engaged to a guy she doesn't like but can't break the engagement. 2.75 stars

The Blurb :
Jade Monroe has finally found the man of her dreams. Or has she? Despite them being newly engaged, her fiancé Conner has suddenly gone radio silent. And even though her family are all giving her the same advice, (he's just not that into you) she’s not convinced. Cue her friends who can see something she can’t. River Matthews has always been his authentic self, without apologies. Honest to a fault, light-hearted & a little lonely. Currently he's the last single standing in his group of friends & he's starting to feel his 'biological' clock ticking. He’s got close to happily-ever-after before, but now it’s once-bitten-twice-shy, and the only way he’s going to find ‘the one’ is if he takes a chance. The wisdom goes that if you just stop looking, your perfect partner will appear, but who will be there when Jade and River stop searching for ‘the one’?
My Thoughts :
We meet Jade Monroe, after only 2 months of dating, her boyfriend Conner proposes, without a ring I may add but Jade happily excepts thinking she has found the one. Even though he family and friends have their reservations about Conner.
Conner tells Jade that he wants a long engagment and has no plans on setting any date for the wedding anytime soon.
Within a few days, Conner trots off to Medical School in Boston leaving behind a confused Jade. Whille there he hardly contacts her and really shows no interest in his new fiancee.
Enter the wonderful River Matthews, a friend of Jade’s who she met whille working at a bar as a hula girl.
Little does Jade know but River secretly has feelings for her but Jade has no idea of his feelings for her.
Soon River and Jade enjoy a series of non romantic dates, and when River's ex girlfriend shows up, Jade then pretends to be engaged to River to save River from any embarrassment.
Not before long Jade starts to question her feelings for River and starts to see another side of him, one that is better than his own Fiance’s.
Is it time for Jade to put herself first and be treated as she should be or is she better off staying with Conner and sticking with what shes knows!?.
This was a feel good story with lots of laugh out moments.
Having read a couple of Aimee Brown’s book before, this didnt one disappoint.
A great romantic summer read that leaves you with all the feels. Looking forward to more from Aimee Brown in the future.
I am really enjoying the books in this series, this one had so many things that had me laughing and loving the characters! Now I really do not care for man-buns, in fact what pops into my head when I think of that is not an attractive guy at all. And I hate to say that the clothes he wore probably would have been a turn-off for me as well. However, in this story, I totally fell in love with River and I choose to think that he looked like Brock O’Hurn with maybe blonder hair.
Anyway, on with my review of the story, lol. As I mentioned, I loved River. He was so funny and so perfect! And then I did like Jade a lot too. While I think she was crazy to let Connor actually kind of string her along like that for so long, it made sense why she did. The banter between Jade and Connor was perfect and had me giggling so many different times, even while I was sitting eating lunch at work and reading. There was so much fun in this book, the sibling relationship between River and Hollyn who I got to meet in the book He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not. And the other characters from other books by this author were in the story as well. I loved the parrot that Jade had, his commentary was perfect, and I loved how she used him to help her finally do what needed to be done with Connor at the end of the book. Then there was the crazy cheeseburger eating debacle and how Jade stayed with River to help him get through the sickness caused by that. All the crazy stories the two, or should I say that River shared with Jade, so many things had me laughing and loving this story.
I really did love this story and hope to go back and read any other books by this author that I’ve missed, and read what she writes in the future!
I really enjoyed this book. I could so see this being a hallmark movie. I enjoyed this so much. Books like this are why I read romance.
I just reviewed Stuck With You by Aimee Brown. #StuckWithYou #NetGalley

This is a sweet, fun read with plenty of laugh out loud moments.
Jade has recently gotten engaged to Conner, her boyfriend of two months. However, when Conner starts ignoring her as he goes off to medical school, her friend and coworker, River, steps in to keep her company.
River is lovely and attentive, and a refreshing departure from the typical romance novel heroes. I found Jade quite annoying and didn’t enjoy her character, she was just not relatable, and that was one of the main reasons why I gave this book a rating of 3 stars.
It’s written really well though and overall an enjoyable read.
Adorable.
I loved the slow build of Jade and River's relationship as they spent more and more time together. The author did it well, and I think the timing was perfect.
One thing in particular I enjoyed was that although Jade was engaged, River didn't pressure her to break up with Connor; he gave his opinion when Jade asked for it, supported her when she needed a friend, and treated her the way they both knew she deserved.
I absolutely loved this book, it so well written with the slow burn friends to lovers trope. The Chemistry between River and Jade is totally of the charts and I like the fact it builds from a lovely friendship. This is my third Aimee Brown book and I just love her writing style and character development. If you want a humorous, sweet, romantic summer read then this is perfect.
Oh my goodness I loved this book!
Jade and River are both very likeable characters and it was so easy to get immersed in their world. I really enjoyed how their 'friends to more' story progressed, it was very unexpected in ways which had me laughing a lot - not a cliche in sight! I definitely recommend this book and look forward to the next in the series. Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the review copy.
I really, really did not want this book to end.
I loved all the characters apart from on, obviously.
I actually feel a little sad it’s over but happy with the outcome.
Easy five stars for me.

Jade & River
Connor proposes to Jade at her 26th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Even though they've only been dating for 2 months, he doesn't know her middle name, or has a ring, she accepts. The next day he's off to medical school across the country and rarely reaches out. Ummm, hello, SO MANY red flags, but she still stays engaged for ages and ages and ages.
River was a funny fella, outfit choice and man bun aside (sorry not my cuppa, but to each their own) and seemed like he'd be a fun guy to hang around, but not too often because he doesn't act his age most of the time. Not the prettiest non date they had, but I liked how when he had food poisoning the author chose to keep it real by having him compromise his pants and needing a new pair 😂....because let'd be real, it can happen.
Overall, this was not my favorite of Aimee's books because it just took way too long for her to realize what everyone else saw about Connor. I wanted more on Jade and River as a couple, not just friends.
There was no doubt they had so much in common and always had a great time when they hung out. They seemed to fit together perfectly and I felt their connection. I liked their banter and the 80's, 90's and friends references. I'm all about a good time and they definitely have it, but they both come across as immature for being in their late 20's. Jade is very naive when it comes to relationships. Their friendship was always referenced as platonic and they went on non dates all the time ~ there was not physical, but emotional cheating, which can still be considered cheating, and I was not really a fan of that.
Spike, the inappropriate talking parrot, absolutely stole the show for me. He and Jade had real conversations that were a hoot. I, also, loved Jade's relationship with her biker father, her sister,
Laney, and her elderly neighbor, Thomas.
Side note ~ Jade loves Supermarket Sweep, which happens to be my most favorite game show ever!! Man I wish I could go on there and race that cart around the aisles. So fun!!
Series notes:
Not sure why it's not in a named series, but characters from He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not and Love Notes make quite a few appearance, so I'd suggest reading those first, but I suppose it's not totally necessary.
When I first began reading, I was skeptical, I didn’t care for Jade’s character at all! She seemed weak to me. I just couldn’t believe how someone would tolerate Connor’s behavior and lack of attention. But as I continued to read, she grew on me, as I got to know the character.
I enjoyed River’s character a lot. He was fun, a little wild but had strong morals.
Thanks to Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A light-hearted fun read. I loved the banter between Jade and River!
These characters were so authentically flawed and hilarious that I loved reading their story. Stuck on You was such an entertaining swoon-worthy romance. My taste in romance tends to be on the dark side, but this book had the perfect amount of sarcasm and banter that I just ate it up. I can definitely see this being a movie!
Feel good laugh out loud rom com friends to lovers! Defintely the perfect holiday book to keep you company on a sun lounger.
Jade and River have great chemistry and you will definitely find yourself cheering the couple on!
My first Aimee Brown read, and how that is possible, I honestly don’t know… as soon as I finished it I picked up the two previous books in the series from KU! It was fun, interesting, well written and a quick read. I really enjoyed it! The sneak-peak from the earlier book included at the end made me want to start it immediately (book 2).
This story started out with a shocking proposal that quickly leaves us with a highly disappointed lead character, Jade, when Connor, after a whirlwind summer romance flies back across the country to medical school and is suddenly too busy to do anything more than occasionally text some random emojis… which leads to her spending time with friend and bartender River, who has been interested in Jade for a while, but she hasn’t been available to him - but Connor’s parting statement to him was to watch over Jade. Taking her on friend dates and letting her vent her frustrations over the absent fiancé, leading her to question everything totally counts!
This was a great read and while it has the hint of a love triangle to it (a trope I normally hate), it’s written in the perfect way to get around any issue I might normally encounter. It’s well done, the characters are fantastic, and the plot and pacing are perfect. I definitely recommend it and I can’t wait to read the earlier two, and the next release in November!
I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books, and this is my honest feedback.
