I thoroughly enjoyed this warm, cosy romance. The plot is obvious but sometimes that is okay and when every page feels joyous it is no bad thing either. We read this from the perspective of Jade and River, two characters whom I adored, both individually and together. As I got to know them they came to feel like friends and I cared deeply about their lives and what happened to them. Brown weaves a feel-good plot that has its sad moments as well but all of it kept my interest and kept me reading. I finished this feeling happy and what more could you want.

Thank you Boldwood Books & NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was the third book of the series, but it can also be read as a stand alone. If you’ve read the first two books you will just be able to enjoy seeing more of the same friend group. But this one was my favorite in the series, the perfect 80s nostalgia fake dating romcom I’ve ever read!!

Jade just got engaged to her boyfriend Connor, but just a couple days later he leaves for Boston to begin his residency. He proposed with no ring, and refused to talk about setting a date because he wanted a long engagement. The longer Connor is away the more doubts creep into Jades mind, that he might not be the one. He’s ignoring her, and hardly interested in talking about anything, let alone their wedding. She strikes up a friendship with a friend of a friend named River, and immediately sparks fly. They agree to be friends, and accidentally start fake dating when they run into Rivers ex. But the more time they spend together, it’s clear they’re meant for so much more than just friends.

I loved every single second of this book, and watching Jade get her happily ever after with the perfect man for her! A great ending to this series, and I’m already looking forward to the release of the novella that follows the friend group wedding of Dax & Hollyn!

I just couldn’t get into this one. I tried. DNF at 46%. It’s an easy read, with some funny banter and interesting characters. But the characters are so immature for their ages and also all of men in the book were written so weirdly that I had a hard time feeling any interest in the romance developing. Rating this a 3/5 because I think some might enjoy this book, but it just wasn’t for me.

A lighthearted romantic comedy, featuring friends to lovers, dual POV and slow burn.

'She's like no one I've ever met, and I want to know more'.

Synopsis
Jade has been with her boyfriend, Connor, for two months. Everything seems to be going well until he proposes at her birthday party, forgets her full name, then races on home to the other side of the country (without giving Jade an actual engagement ring!)

As Jade tries to navigate her relationship with Connor, she begins talking to River - a friend she met when working as a hula girl at a bar. Their strictly platonic friendship consist of a bunch of 'non romantic dates', but when River's ex girlfriend shows up, Jade pretends to be engaged to River so he's not embarrassed by the encounter.

Feelings grow, and soon Jade is questioning her entire relationship with Connor and wondering if it's actually River who is the right guy for her.

Thoughts
I enjoyed this, it was super lighthearted, had easy dialogue and plot to follow, the popular trope of friends to lovers, alongside slow burn romance. Great for an easy, summery read!

I will say that Jade was quite immature when it came to relationships, saying yes to a man she had been dating for two months.. but then having an emotional relationship with River. However saying that, I am really glad that River and Jade had the cosy slow burn - they seem perfect for each other.

'Follow my heart, he'd said. For the first time ever, I know what it's telling me to do'.

This book had so much potential to be a cute romcom, but unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. It was too slowburn for me. The characters behaved very immature and I just wasn't invested in this story at all. If you like a lighthearted and easy romance book with not so much to think about and only want something quick to read, then this one might be the one.

This had so much potential to be a cute romcom. I was initially drawn to the plot, but ultimately, it just kind of flat more me.

I'm so glad that other reviews enjoyed it so much, but this one just wasn't for me.

Okay so I really liked that Jade & River had chemistry but their individual characters felt superficial and lacked depth. River was too high and mighty and Jade was too stubborn. While I liked the writing, plot and the setting, the characters just fell flat which is a shame because I've read and enjoyed the previous books written by this author. But unfortunately this book wasn't anything great.

This was a cute rom-com read that had me smiling the entire time. If you are looking for a light summer read with some major 80s influence, look no further.

Jade has just had the moment of her dreams happen. She was proposed to! She shouldn't worry about the fact that her fiance didn't know her whole name during said proposal. Or about the fact that he bumped his flight up back to Boston so that he could see one of his friends instead of spending the day with her right? Or the fact that he didn't have a ring? None of that should bother her because she is getting married to the man of her dreams...or is she?

Enter River Matthews. He is a regular at the bar where Jade works. They have chemistry. They ALMOST shared a moment but then Jade met Conner. River has known from the jump that Conner is not who Jade thinks he is. Now his goal is to help her understand what it means to be loved and by the right person.

This is a cute story about a young woman who has experienced some trauma that has made her a bit more vulnerable to putting her heart out on the line (maybe for the wrong person). River takes the time and does the cutest things to help her see how special she is and that what she is experiencing isn't how it should be. I saw some people refer to this as a love triangle but Conner was so detached I don't know if I would call it that. My challenges were with Jade herself. She stubbornly refused to see what everyone was seeing around her. She almost made it a point to prove everyone wrong at her determent which was frustrating. I do applaud her loyalty though at the same time LOL.

A sweet and funny love and life story. Jade is engaged but unhappy with her fiancé. She doesn't feel loved and everyone around her thinks he is nit right for her. Can River, a casual friend from work, make her realise what real love is and what it's worth?

This book had the potential to be a cute romcom, but there was just too much missing for it to be enjoyable. The characters were immature, the dialogue was forced and didn’t flow, and the humour was adolescent.

Book Review 📚
Stuck with You by Aimee Brown - 4/5 ⭐

Right, all I can say is - what a beautiful read this was. Very cosy, slow burn romance. It felt as though this is the kind of thing you see or hear about in every day life. Something that seems so real and can happen. Brown has such an amazing way of writing making the book seem so "realistic" and like an everyday sort of drama.

The characters were simple yet amazing. They come to life right in front of you with such simplicity. It's a very love/hate relationship with them. But that's what makes a book good, so they're not just amazing but you can relate or you can just think "what a stupid comment" and then giggle to yourself because it's something you'd do or you know someone who would!

Brown sets the scene pretty easily in her writing and gives good description of not only the characters but the world around them. All in all its a lovely read that will have you feelinh a whole range of emotions.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

2.5 ⭐
I believe this book had the potential to be so much more. Cute premise. The characters just seemed so immature. Even though Jade said it was easy to talk to River, their dialog didn’t flow. I had to pick the book up a few different times to finish it. While I did find it cute toward the end, it was not my thing. If you enjoy adolescent humor and loved the show Friends, you’ll probably enjoy this sweet, fluffy story.

This book just wasn't my favorite. While it had the potential to be a cute romcom: friends-to-lovers, dual POV (my favorite), 80s and 90s references, and the slowest burn ever, there was just too much missing for me to be invested in our main characters and root for their HEA.

If you like super fluffy, no real tension, and a slightly immature leading lady (when it comes to relationships), you may enjoy this more than I did.

In "Stuck With You" by Aimee Brown, Jade Monroe and River Matthews are both on a quest for love but facing obstacles. Jade's fiancé, Conner, goes silent after their engagement, leaving her uncertain about their future. River, a genuine and light-hearted man, struggles to find love after a past heartbreak. As fate intertwines their paths, they discover that sometimes love comes when you least expect it. Brown skilfully weaves a heart warming and relatable story about the complexities of relationships, reminding us that love can be found in unexpected places when we open our hearts to the possibilities.

If you like the Christmas hallmark movies with humor and love then you'll love this book. Jade and relationship was sledging that I could relate to so it made the book that much more interesting. This book made me laugh out loud, not th or the lol use online. This book made me laugh extremely hard but almost loved me to tears.

I loved how Dax, Hollyn, Mercy and Brooks were all still involved in the book in some capacity. It was really nice getting to see where those characters were at. But I didn't love Conner. He was an awful character from the start and i really dont know why Jade was attracted to him.

Overall, the third book in the series (but it can honestly be read as a stand alone book) was a cute story that will have you smiling and cringing multiple times throughout the book.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book.

Cute romcon with F.r.ie.n.d.s references, a dual POV, friends-to-lovers slowburn that's completely clean (just a kiss), I enjoyed it as a lighthearted and quick read.

This definitely had some cute and swoony moments but I really didn't feel the sparks. I thought it was funny and heartfelt but it didn't really capture my interest. Ultimately, just a super fun and light-hearted read that you can devour quickly.

This book follows Jade, a bartender at a tropical bar in Washington, and River, a videographer whose mother is the lead singer of a famous 80’s rock band. River and Jade had an almost kiss months prior and are bar friends. Jade is now engaged to Conner a med school student, who proposed without a ring and then moves across the country and proceeds to ignore Jade aside from texting her random emojis. Jade turns to River as a ‘distraction’ where they go on anti dates. River was very pick me pick me when they were together and Jade struggles to decide if she should break up with Dr. Jerk, which is where they lost me. I don’t understand why Jade is having such a dilemma when they dated for 2 months before he proposed. It was very hard for me to believe she was that conflicted over someone that she barely dated, got her name wrong in the proposal and didn’t even have a ring.
