I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

In a cruel twist of fate, the evil villain from the past becomes the helpless hero when he is rescued by Calladia Cunnington. Astaroth is a legend in his own right, and as the son of the demoness Lillith, he has powers others could only dream of. After being banished to the mortal plane, with his memories removed, he relies on Calladia to help him, and to discover why Moloch is out to kill him. Calladia hates his guts for what he did to her best friend, but she can't leave him so vulnerable, not even when it's clear that she's the one risking her heart for the enemy.

I don't know how Sarah did it, but after hating Astaroth so much in the first book, he was the perfect hero this time around. So many of the reasons why he was so hard and cruel with Oz and Mariel are explained here, as he recovers his memories, and humanity, with Calladia by his side. Calladia was a firecracker, and her feisty nature was definitely understandable when you consider the family she comes from. She had needed to form the hard exterior she had to protect herself from her mother, and so she found it hard to allow herself to be vulnerable with anyone, especially not someone she thought was the enemy. The journey, both literal and metaphorical, that Calladia and Astaroth went on in this book was the making of them both, and was a joy to read.

So I was finally able to get my hands on a copy of book 1 in this series, which meant I immediately got to dive into this right after and dare I say I loved this one even more! Enemies to lovers is always my favorite trope, but throw in an amnesia trope for the "evil" MMC, paired with a banter-filled filled road trip, and it becomes such a perfect story for their two characters. Their chemistry was immediate, but they really helped each other grow as characters. This is a fun & spicy read and I definitely recommend it!

Not even twelve hours after defeating Astaroth the demon in battle, Calladia Cunnington finds herself helping the monster that went after her best friend as she discovers he no longer remembers who he is. And now the two of them are being chased by one of the worst demons in hell. Astaroth, desperate to recall his memories, doesn’t understand why Calladia hates him, and he can barely understand why she is even helping, but he knows something that could turn the tide in hell to protect its residents; he just needs to remember. The two set off on an unlikely road trip that will surprise them both.

I don’t know if I’m still on the high of playing Baldur’s Gate 3, but this book is definitely for the girlies who spent £50 on a game because they thought the immortal white-haired man was good-looking. (....)

A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch is a silly, light-hearted read. (And I mean that in a loving way.) For the most part, this is a ridiculously entertaining book to read. We know from the previous book that Calladia and Astaroth both have apparent family issues, and it was hilarious to see them butt heads in this as they work together to regain Astaroth’s memories. I was hesitant about the romance simply because they moved quickly, but their chemistry was a lot of fun. However, Astaroth’s whole schtick of being a British demon with an apparent ‘posh accent’ got boring quickly – I don’t think the reader needed to be reminded so much that he’s speaking with received pronunciation. We are already told through his character building in the story. Again, this series is meant to be light-hearted and easy to read, which it was. There were bits I found a little awkward, but that is just my preference when it comes to romance, and readers who lean more into paranormal romance will definitely enjoy this sequel.

Overall, A Demon’s Guide was a good laugh, and sometimes you need just a simple book about a witch and demon overthrowing hell together. (Now, about that next one in the series about a succubus and a flower shop owner….)

I loved A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon, I knew I would love this next installment and I did! It had the same kickass characters, the dame humour, the same captivating writing style. I could not put it down!

This was fun!

After the last book, I was sceptical of how the author would redeem Asthatroth but redeem she did.

The setting of these books are fantastic, so cozy and warm. I loved the main couple, Asthatroth and Calladia are completely opposite of each other but together they kickass.

Plotwise, I liked the idea of a quest, the people they meet on their journey were hilarious and the whole getting the gang together to defeat the big bad was done beautifully.

However, I really thought that this book could have been a bit shorter as there were a lot of repetitions of dialogues especially between Asthatroth and Calladia. Even though I liked them together, their mooning over each other got a bit over the top at times. Ironically, the ending felt rushed and definitely could have done better with some more page time.

Overall, this was an entertaining read and I look forward to reading the next book as well!

Thank you for my eARC of this book. I enjoyed book 1 and found it to be an easy and entertaining read, and felt the same about this. Are they my favourite romance books? No, but I had a great time with them.

I adored this book, even more than the first. Feisty and sassy characters that play well off of each other, both wholesome and interesting. I loved it!

I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers storyline where they were actually enemies! Calladia went through a whole journey and I went from really not liking her, to feeling like maybe I did like her.
The romance was fun and the dialogue between Calladia and Astaroth was amusing. However the star of the book was Lilith! She barely featured but she stole the show. I could have lived without the return of Mariel and Oz because they were nauseating as a couple
I liked the quest element but I felt that the bit moment was rushed and resolved so quickly.
I wish this book was 100 pages shorter, it didn't need to be this long. I found myself losing interest as some scenes seemed to drag, which perhaps explains why it took me 3 months to finish reading this.
Thank you NetGalley for proving me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I thoroughly loved the first book in the Glimmer Falls series and had been waiting with bated breath to get my paws on the second title. This second book in the series exceeded all expectations and I can safely say that Sarah Hawley is now one of my top 5 comfort read authors.

The romance, as per the first book, was excellent. A similar enemies-to-lovers, but the characters feel more drawn to each other from the very first page. Calladia and Astaroth are more fiery and prone to battle which makes for some exciting dynamics as their quest progresses. I love their chemistry, which remains consistent as they meet new characters in a very ride-or-die way. Love them.

While we explored a lot of Glimmer Falls in the first book, this second title expanded on the worldbuilding of the demon plane and its politics. Excited to read more of this fully realised world in the next book!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, the Gollancz team and Sarah for the opportunity to read and review. :)

I loved this just as much as the first book, I can’t pick a favourite between them, they are just so much fun. The best escapism I could want in life, romance, mystery, drama, everything you could want is here and I can’t wait for more, I will devour every book. Fantastic

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If you enjoyed the first book then you won't be disappointed with this one. The pacing was a bit off but the enemies-to-lovers romance was fun and engaged the reader. The prose is very accessible and plenty of humorous moments keep you entertained.

A Demon’s Guide To Wooing A Witch by Sarah Hawley was a warm welcome back to Glimmer Falls.

This book was just as fun as the first book with lots of snarky banter, a strong female heroine and a good sprinkling of spice.

I love that the FMC is tall, as a tall woman myself it’s so refreshing to see as it’s not often I come across a tall FMC especially in romance books.

This book has:
⚔️ Enemies to lovers
⛓️ Forced Proximity
🛻 Epic Road Trip
❤️ Great friendships
🏕️ One Tent
💪 Tall and Strong FMC
🏳️‍🌈 Pansexual Demon
🛏️ One bed
💥 Fireballs
♨️ Hot Springs
😈 Sensitive horns
🌶️ Spicy scenes
🐺 Werewolf Bar Brawl
🏆 Competitive Foreplay
🧵 Thread Magic
☕️ A demon who loves earl grey tea
⁉️ Memory loss

If you are looking for a cosy magical romance with spice then I recommend picking up this book!

I recently had the pleasure of delving into this book, and I am beyond impressed with the mesmerizing world that the author has crafted. From start to finish, the intricate plot weaves a tapestry of suspense, emotion, and unexpected twists that kept me eagerly turning the pages.

One of the standout features of this book is undoubtedly its characters. Each one is meticulously developed, breathing life into the narrative with their unique personalities, motivations, and flaws. The protagonists are not just names on paper; they are relatable, complex individuals with whom readers can form a genuine connection. The antagonist, too, is not a mere foil but a multi-dimensional force that adds depth to the story. The author's ability to create such well-rounded characters is a testament to their storytelling prowess.

The plot unfolds seamlessly, drawing the reader into a richly layered narrative that expertly balances tension, drama, and moments of poignant reflection. The pacing is impeccable, maintaining a perfect rhythm that keeps the reader engaged without sacrificing the depth of the story. The author skillfully navigates through various plot arcs, interweaving them with finesse to create a cohesive and satisfying whole.

What sets this book apart is its ability to tackle profound themes while maintaining an accessible and engaging narrative. The book seamlessly combines suspense and emotional depth, making it a truly immersive experience. The author's prose is both elegant and evocative, painting vivid imagery that lingers in the reader's mind long after the final page is turned.

As I reached the conclusion, I found myself yearning for more from this talented author. Their ability to craft a gripping plot and bring characters to life is truly commendable. I eagerly anticipate future works and would wholeheartedly recommend this book to any reader who appreciates a masterfully told tale. If you're searching for a book that seamlessly blends captivating characters with a compelling plot, this is a shining example. I can't wait to explore more literary worlds crafted by this exceptional storyteller.

I absolutely loved A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating so couldn't wait to get my hands on the sequel. This series is set in a magical modern-day America where mythical creatures such as Sirens, Pixies and Succubi live in *relative* harmony. Just like its predecessor, A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch is super camp, playful, funny and sex positive.

Calladia was a breath of fresh air. I've read so many romance books were a tiny, quirky FMC falls head-over-heels for a grumpy git who doesn't deserve her. Calladia is tall, muscular and doesn't take any crap when it comes to protecting the ones she loves. She does have a soft side though. It's cute watching her let her guard down and show her vulnerable side. She's had no choice but to put up walls due to her past abusive relationship and constant interference from her toxic mother. She's always felt like she wasn't not good enough and I loved watching Astaroth treat her like the warrior queen she is.

I have to admit, I wasn't quite as invested as I was in Mariel & Ozroth relationship from the first book. This sequel felt almost like a side quest. It was super cute and funny, but a little more forgettable than its successor.

A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch by Sarah Hawley is perfect for fans of the following:

🎤 Demonic Swifties
🐔 Cockblocking griffins
🐙 Erotic tentacle fan fiction
😈 Sexy times in the woods
🍺 Bar fights with werewolves
🏋‍♀️ Witches in spandex

This was a fun, whimsical, spicy little read but not one that me gripped throughout.

At the end of the first book, we get a sneak peek to Astaroth and Calladia's story and albeit confused, it got me intrigued. What followed was a fast-paced cheesy romance, brimming with delightful banter and a dash of whimsical absurdity. I found it to be the perfect palate cleanser, and I'm eagerly anticipating the next instalment 🔮

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orion Publishing for the advance reader copy.

I was very excited for this book based on the premise and then I couldn’t finish it because I wasn’t a fan of the writing,

I didn’t realise there was a book before and this book hasn’t pushed me to want to read it.

I also was lucky enough to get a print copy of this, and the artwork/covers are always fantastic. I do like an enemies to lovers book, and a fiesty main character is right up my street. I already loved to hate Astaroth, but loved Calladia so reading their developing relationship was a joy. I also really liked her personal growth throughout this book. I wasn't as hooked as the last one for some reason, but still enjoyable!
